Make a simple card with Sweet Essentials

Need a quick and easy card? Here you go - cut a banner from some lovely designer paper, added a banner greeting, and some ribbon.

The sentiment is from the Sweet Essentials stamp set, stamped in Midnight Muse ink, with coordinating ribbon. Sorry to say, but this set is no longer available. The banner is a 3" x 4" piece of Venetian Romance dsp (which is still available).

Easy card with stamp-punch combo & 25% off words

Everyone who knows me knows I LOVE stamps with coordinating punches. They rock! This flower was made using the Flower Shop stamp set, then punching it with the new Pansy punch.

I started with a Pear Pizzazz card, adding a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of Gingham Garden designer paper. Then I stamped three flowers in Rich Razzleberry and punched them out, adhered them with dimensionals and added big rhinestones in the centers. I added a knot of stitched Rich Razzleberry ribbon, and a sentiment from the Sweet Essentials stamp set (you can save 25% on this set as part of a greetings special NOW).

This was another of the card designs for a recent 10-card class. Quick, cute and easy! I hope you have a wonderful day.

Mosaic Madness with Strawberry Slush

I love the look of Smoky Slate and Strawberry Slush together. This was another quick card at a 10-card class last week. I embossed the 5" x 3-3/4" Whisper White layer with the Modern Mosaic folder before adding punched and inked images from the Mosaic Madness stamp set with dimensionals. I added rhinestones for a little sparkle, and a banner with a sentiment from Sweet Essentials.

Simply positive cards that will make someone happy

These two cards were two from a recent 10-card class. The one above uses a stamp set I received free at the SU! convention last year called I Am. I love the sentiments in the set because they're all so positive! This card is Summer Starfruit with a strip of Soft Suede and two pearls. It also uses a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Sycamore Street dsp, which is in the Sale-a-Bration Catalog.

Three little butterflies highlight this So Saffron card. No cutting! It's a new punch in the Spring Catalog. I used Tea for Two dsp, along with crochet trim and a few pearls. Everyone could add the sentiment of their choice from the Sweet Essentials stamp set.

I have a party this morning, and then a fun rewards event for deserving American Ink team members Sunday morning, so it's a full weekend! I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Happy Stampin'!

Merry Minis Punch Pack for quick and cute Christmas cards

The little tree, star and ornament shapes from the Merry Minis Punch Pack pop out with the help of dimensionals on these white on white flags.

This was one of the designs I used for a 10-card Christmas class. I CASE'd it from Deb Currier, one of my favorite stampers for cute and quick cards. I used Raspberry Ripple ink and ribbon. The "christmas cheer" is from the Sweet Essentials stamp set. And speaking of sweet, my family got into making and decorating sugar cookies recently:

I told my son he couldn't eat any cookies until he frosted some. He basically frosted one, then ate it! I love these little squeezy containers with tips I got from Pampered Chef.

It was my daughter's idea to make the cookies. I made the dough, but she did all of the rolling out and cutting out. I never realized I've collected so many cookie cutters over the years. She only picked a handful of shapes to use.

And can you believe my hubby has never decorated sugar cookies for Christmas? He tried to get out of it, but our daughter wouldn't let him - and he can't say "no" to her. He had some pretty fun designs - especially with the bear-shaped cookies! lol

I'm looking forward to a Scentsational Season!

There's nothing like a Christmas tree to get you in the festive spirit! I used a Holiday Collection Framelit to die-cut this tree shape, then added some Old Olive paper from Polka Dot Parade dsp behind it and stamped a Daffodil Delight star from the Scentsational Season stamp set, which coordinates with the framelits.

I stamped the "christmas cheer" from Sweet Essentials first and then embossed the card front in Perfect Polka Dots before adding a knot of 1/8" Old Olive taffeta ribbon. This was one of the three projects Courtney and her friends made at her party. I showed you the red/white/blue Joyous Celebrations card yesterday, and here's the third:

I saw this Christmas Deer card on Pinterest, designed by Patti Chesky. It's a Crumb Cake card with a strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock and some crochet trim. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs. I love the use of the Fancy Fan Folder on the card front, as well as the tiny bird on the antlers.

I'm looking forward to my holiday bazaar Thursday at an assisted care facility about half a mile from my home. The residents and staff are wonderful, and really provide a good experience for vendors. I'm thankful there are wonderful places like this that truly appreciate our elderly, and care for them with love.

Jolly Bingo Bits adds some Christmas cheer

It's all about Christmas and gifts today. I'm working on creating more framed art and necklaces today for my big gift festival at the Tacoma Dome next week.
I came across one of the Christmas card designs from my last 10-card class. The others are scattered around my studio. I used Jolly Bingo Bits for this card, along with the 1-inch square punch and the Postage Stamp punch. I love the sentiment, which is from the Sweet Essentials stamp set. I pulled the ink and card stock colors - Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green - from the Be of Good Cheer dsp.

I almost forgot to add a couple of photos I took at the Stampin' Up! Convention this past summer featuring the Be of Good Cheer dsp. They were gorgeous displays full of great ideas.

Enjoy your Friday! And don't forget - The Great Pumpkin Blog Hop is in its 11th week. I'd love for you to add your Halloween project.

Baby wipe technique with Papillon Potpourri for Freshly Made Sketches #40

I thought I'd join my friend Lesley this week for a challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. I'm doing a technique class tonight and the Baby Wipe Technique featured on this card is one of the projects. I used a few drops each of Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry and Tangerine Tango reinkers on a folded wipe and used that to stamp butterflies from Papillon Potpourri. One butterfly was punched out using the Elegant Butterfly punch, and the other two were hand cut. Then I added 2-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter to really make them sparkle and shine.

The patterned paper is from the Floral District pack, and my "oval" is a label framelit stamped with a flourish from Everything Eleanor in Baja Breeze, and a few pearls. The stitched Daffodil Delight ribbon looks crooked in the photo, but the card is bowed. The sentiment is from the Sweet Essentials stamp set.

You have until noon Monday (PST) to enter the challenge here. Have fun!
