Pairing new with old Christmas stamps

Cute little images are so fun to mix and match with washi tape for quick and easy Christmas cards like this one!

This was one of my designs for a Christmas card class. The little images are from the now retired Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set. The images were stamped, punched out using a circle punch, then adhered over the washi tape with dimensionals. If you're pressed for time, this is a great layout to work with. And if you don't have washi tape, use strips of designer paper! The big sentiment is from the Joy to the World stamp set, which is in the Holiday Catalog.

There's less than a month left to order what you'd like from that catalog. You may order anytime thru my Online Store at http://therubberroom.stampinup.net. Don't forget to use this hostess code - 3XTCDNG6 - and you'll be entered into my January 1 drawing for free SU! product. Thanks! Enjoy your Sunday.

Jolly Bingo Bits adds some Christmas cheer

It's all about Christmas and gifts today. I'm working on creating more framed art and necklaces today for my big gift festival at the Tacoma Dome next week.
I came across one of the Christmas card designs from my last 10-card class. The others are scattered around my studio. I used Jolly Bingo Bits for this card, along with the 1-inch square punch and the Postage Stamp punch. I love the sentiment, which is from the Sweet Essentials stamp set. I pulled the ink and card stock colors - Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green - from the Be of Good Cheer dsp.

I almost forgot to add a couple of photos I took at the Stampin' Up! Convention this past summer featuring the Be of Good Cheer dsp. They were gorgeous displays full of great ideas.

Enjoy your Friday! And don't forget - The Great Pumpkin Blog Hop is in its 11th week. I'd love for you to add your Halloween project.

Jolly Bingo Bits quick Christmas card

Whisper White card stock and a handful of ink pads make this card fun to make with the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set. This is design 4 of 5 used for last week's 10-card Christmas class. I ran a square piece of white through the Snow Burst embossing folder and attached it to the card front with dimensionals. The sentiment - inside and out - is from the Christmas Greetings stamp set. The images were stamped and punched out with the 1" circle punch, and layered on 1-1/4" circles.

Lots of little Jolly Bingo Bits for Monkey Challenge #80

I'm pretty happy with the way this card turned out. I started with Just Eat Cake dsp layered on a Baja Breeze card, then, using the A La Card Monkey Sketch Challenge #80, I stamped nine of the images from Jolly Bingo Bits and layered them on a 3-3/8" square of Poppy Parade card stock. They're so cute! The sentiment is from Beautiful Season.

In addition to Dazzling Diamond glitter, I used a red Sharpie to color these small rhinestones for berries on the holly. What do you think?

Stamps: Jolly Bingo Bits, Beautiful Season;
Ink: Poppy Parade, Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze;
Paper: Whisper White, Poppy Parade, Baja Breeze, Just Eat Cake dsp;
Accessories: Poppy Parade ribbon, basic rhinestones, red Sharpie, 2-way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, 1-inch square punch, large oval punch, dimensionals.

Jolly Bingo Bits for Monkey Challenge 79: Holiday Cheer

I'm back to making holiday cards at A La Card Monkey with Challenge #79: Holiday Cheer + Sketch. I turned to my Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set, as well as Tiny Tags. The designer paper is from the Holly Berry Bouquet pack in the Holiday Mini. I used the Postage Stamp Punch and the Square Scallop Punch for the squares, primarily because my regular 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" square punches are at the studio for another project.

Fun new monkey challenge with GOODIES...

I can't help but smile when I look at this seal cracking up on the beach. I came up with this week's sketch for my new challenge blog, A La Card Monkey. My card uses the penguin from Jolly Bingo Bits, the slide is from an upcoming Summer Mini set called Recess, and a sentiment from Full of Life. It's not grab-your-gut funny... just kinda silly. I paper pierced to show the penguin's topsy-turvy trip down the slide.

Below is a close-up of the penguins. I inked them with markers (Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango and Basic Black), cut them out and adhered them with dimensionals.

Snowmen sound delicious

I created this card for a Snowmen theme challenge this week, and it's fun. We're looking at getting our first snow Sunday evening.

For my card, I stacked the cute little snowman from Jolly Bingo Bits and colored each of their little scarves a different color. I'm diggin' those little stamps. I'll be showing you a stamp-a-stack card we made in a couple of days. The designer paper is from the Nursery Suite pack. I followed the sketch from http://technostamper.blogspot.com/, and added a Tiny Tag. I kinda pulled the taffeta too tight and made an indentation in the card stock (oops). That sucker's not moving! I hope you enjoy your Friday.

Stamps: Jolly Bingo Bits, Tiny Tags;
Ink: Early Espresso pad, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Bashful Blue and Regal Rose markers;
Paper: Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Nursery Suite dsp, Regal Rose;
Accessories: Medium Jewelry Punch, paper piercer, Jumbo Brad, 5/8" Bashful Blue satin ribbon, 1/8" Early Espresso taffeta, linen thread, Northern Frost Decorative Strip for the Big Shot, dimensionals.

Sketch Challenge with Contempo Christmas...

I enjoyed using a sketch to create this card. The idea for this card started with the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set. I wanted to use the penguin, but after spotting some Baja Breeze paper with glittery red dots in the Candy Cane Christmas dsp pack, I chose the reindeer so I could add a shiny red nose to go along with all the other dots on this card. (A little FYI here - did you know you can color Stampin' Up!'s rhinestone jewels with Sharpies? I'd suggest not coloring it when the rhinestone is on your card.)

The tree is from Contempo Christmas, stamped with all three colors on this card - Baja Breeze, Real Red and Crumb Cake. The greeting is from Curly Cute. I used several punches - the 1" and 1-1/4" circles for the reindeer layers, and the Scallop Edge Border Punch in Crumb Cake.

Stamps: Contempo Christmas, Curly Cute, Jolly Bingo Bits;
Ink: Baja Breeze, Real Red, and Crumb Cake;
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Candy Cane Christmas dsp;
Accessories: 1" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Clear Circle die, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, glimmer brad, rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals.
