Tag It Christmas card; last 2 letters of Spooky banner

Santa looks like he wants to give you a hug, doesn't he? I love the cute little guy in the Tag It stamp set. I used Cherry Cobbler and Baked Brown Sugar markers to ink up the stamp. This is design 9 from my last 20-card class.

For this Baked Brown Sugar card, I used 3" x 4" pieces of Season of Style designer paper with a scallop ribbon border-punched solid piece of card stock. One punch from the Designer Label cut in half makes the layer behind Santa, then a couple of rhinestones were added for bling.

Turn the designer paper over and you get this fun design. Stampers had an option to do two of one color or one of each, 'cause that's the way I roll.

Funny I still have one more card design to post tomorrow, because I spent a couple of hours today prepping for a 10-card Christmas class tomorrow morning! It's been a busy month.

Today's the last day to order online to be entered into tomorrow's drawing for the hostess goodies! You may order any Stampin' Up! products thru my Online Store at http://therubberroom.stampinup.net. The hostess code is AKS76R6P.

Here are the last two letters of my SPOOKY banner! I'm excited for my banner class this Saturday at 11 a.m. Class is FULL! Have a wonderful day.

Supply of Envelope Punch Boards Running Low

There's been an overwhelmingly positive response to the new Envelope Punch Board. Stampin' Up! has already taken steps to restock inventory, but the new supply will not arrive in the Distribution Center until mid-October, so the Envelope Punch Boards will be placed on backorder in the next few days.

Single stamp Wonderful Blessing for Christmas

This single Wonderful Blessing stamp is so pretty - and large! I used a Circle framelit to diecut it after stamping it in Early Espresso ink.

I went with an earthy feel for this card, using Early Espresso card stock that was run through the Big Shot in the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder (item 130917, $7.95), Natural Trim, a Basics Glimmer Brad, and Crumb Cake card stock for the main image. We're down to card 8 of 10 from my last Christmas 20-card class.

I love these old mason jars and their zinc lids. I found a nice, old wire holder, and a full box of lids in great shape. These jars hold buttons, spools of thread, poker chips, marbles and more! To view more photos, please visit http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. And have a great day!

Cardinal punch art for Christmas card

This cardinal punch art card makes design 7 of 10 from my recent 20-card Christmas class. The Cherry Cobbler cardinal is made using the Bird Builder and Owl Builder punches.

CASE'ing a card by fellow demo Heidi Baks, I used a Daydream Medallions stamp for the wreath (item 131976, $36.95 wood; item 126467, $26.95 clear), and little berries with Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details (item 125585, $2.50). I popped up the punch cardinal with dimensionals and added a bow of Cherry Cobbler seam binding. The sentiment is from More Merry Messages.

A storm is moving in this weekend. We lost power in the early hours of this morning for several hours, but it's back on now. The bird feeder in the backyard is bustling with activity. I think the birds are trying to fill their bellies before strong wind and rain hits.

I've got a busy afternoon and evening. My Lions Club is hosting its first-ever dinner and auction tonight. I made the table tents and helped set up yesterday. Today, I'm making a Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie for the dessert table and have been assigned data entry - entering bid numbers and winning bids, then taking in the money when people are finished. Here's hoping we have big bucks and no whammies! The monies benefit Poulsbo Elementary School technology and the Retsil Veterans Home. I hope you enjoy a wonderful Saturday!

I haven't posted vintage items for a few days. Here are some old cigar boxes and miscellaneous items I'm saving for a special project. I plan to recover that foot stool some day too! So many projects, so little time. lol If you'd like to see more old, vintage stuff, please visit Booth 6 at http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods.

Festive Flurry banner card

The Festive Flurry framelit-cut snowflakes were a hit with my stampers last week at my 20-card Christmas class. Here's another design I used. I just gave a neighbor 60+ Christmas cards and have many more! I think I'm set for my card-sending season and still have Christmas classes coming up in October.

I started with an Island Indigo card and added a layer of 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White. I cut a few 1" strips of Winter Frosty Specialty paper as banners and layered them under the framelit-cut snowflakes - the top snowflake is from the Festive Flurry stamp set, and the other is die-cut out of silver glimmer paper. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs.

Reindeers in sweaters

This adorable sweater-wearing reindeer from the Color Me Christmas stamp set reminds me of the book "Llamas in Pajamas." I used markers to color him in - Marina Mist, Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake.

Yet another one of my 10 card designs for my 20-card Christmas class last week, this was a favorite of mine. It's a Marina Mist card with a 2" x 5-1/2" strip of Polka Dot Patterns designer paper, a 2-1/2" punched circle, and a banner with a cheery greeting. Couldn't be easier or cuter!

Enjoying Warmth & Wonder

I used markers (Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip) to color this image from the Warmth & Wonder hostess set in the Holiday Catalog.

This was another design from my 20-card Christmas class last week. It uses the Pretty Print embossing folder (item 132175, $7.95), as well as a strip of Season of Style designer paper on an Old Olive card.

Are you on Santa's List? How about my Spooky list?

"Hope you're nice." I laughed the first time I read this sentiment on one of the stamps in the Santa's List set, available in the Holiday Catalog (item 131811 clear $12.95; 131808 wood $15.95). This was one of the 10 designs at my 20-card Christmas class. I stamped those words on my envelopes. I'd love to see my friends' faces when they read that first! lol

Bonjour mes amis! I'm thrilled to find so many of you from France are visiting my blog. Merci! For this card, I started with a Crumb Cake base and added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla on top, with Santa stamped in Real Red ink. For the banners, I used two different designer paper packs - Venetian Romance (blue), and Epic Day This and That (green). I CASE'd this card from Mindy Backes.

Color Me Christmas thinlit card; Spooky banner class

There's nothing like sparkle and shine on a Christmas tree! I added punched circles of silver glimmer paper to this Color Me Christmas tree. This was one of my 10 card designs for a 20-card class Saturday.

Here's the finished card. I used Pool Party Core'dinations card stock and first used my magnetic platform (item 130658, $39.95) with the Circle Thinlit (item 133480, $32.95 - love it!), then used my regular platform with the Stylish Stripes folder (item 132174, $7.95), and sanded it. I stamped the Tags 4 You saying in Pool Party ink and punched it with the Label Bracket Punch (item 132153, $15.95). Most of these products may be found in the Holiday Catalog.

Lovely as a Tree Christmas card; Halloween banner class

Give old stamps new life with fresh colors and designer papers. I did for my 20-card class Saturday. One of the 10 card designs featured this Lovely as a Tree stamp in Island Indigo and Smoky Slate.

Winter Frost Specialty Designer Paper is beautiful! I used a 2" x 5-1/2" strip behind the tree (die-cut with an Apothecary framelit) on the Smoky Slate card front, then added a strip of Smoky Slate for the sentiment, which is from the Warmth & Wonder hostess set. Sparkle and shine is courtesy of the silver 1/8" ribbon (item 132137, $4.95).

My friend and downline, Barb, gave me this adorable 3d item just because. She's the sweetest! Barb is a whiz with the Little Leaves Sizzlit (page 188, $5.50) and the Pansy Punch (page 183, $15.95). And she's right - you can never have too much happy!

Map It Out with newest photopolymer stamp set

I love the map of the US in the newest photopolymer stamp set Stampin' Up! has released. You can see the flyer here. The stamp set is called Map It Out (Item 134620, $13.95).

What do photopolymer stamps have to offer?

  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
  • I could go on, but we'll let you try them for yourself.

  • To order, please visit my Online Store at http://therubberroom.stampinup.net. Use the hostess code this month - AKS76R6P - and you'll be entered into my October 1 drawing to win FREE hostess benefits.

American Ink swaps and vintage lamps

This is Frankie's flowers and butterfly swap. I love all of the dimension!

Barb went with a monochromatic look for her swap.

And Ginette used her favorite colors for her swap.

No matter if you're a new or seasoned stamper, there's something for everyone in my American Ink group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators. We meet the second Saturday of every month at my studio to swap card ideas, stamp cards brought by volunteers, eat, share business tips and ideas, and chat. It's fun!

Tag It with new envelope punch board

My talented friend and downline, Barb, created this make and take for our American Ink gathering Saturday. It's a white embossed notecard with a sentiment from the Tag It set, whose sales benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities. Also used here: Designer Label and Scallop Trim Border punches.

Making a coordinating envelope for your handmade card looks AMAZING! I need to do it more often. We used the envelope punch board, which is awesome because it has all of the measurements for the size envelope you want AND it has a ruler at the top marked in increments of 1/8 inch! I think that should be on our paper trimmer too. Anyway, the envelope punch board notches your designer paper with the circular punch so it folds easily (you also score it with a tool that's included with the board), and then you can round all of your corners by inserting your designer paper in the TOP of the punch. Cool!

Note: This board is set up for right-handed people. I had to turn the entire board vertically so I could score my lines easier.

You may order all of these products, along with Clearance Rack items, via my Online Store at http://therubberroom.stampinup.net. Please use this hostess code to be entered into a drawing for FREE hostess goodies - AKS76R6P

While watching the Seattle Seahawks' football game with the 49ers last night, I made this wreath. It uses a yard of fall-colored fabric cut into 1-inch strips approximately 10-1/2" long. You can see more photos at http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. Have a wonderful day!
