Tea Party treat bag; today's special deadlines

Look how gorgeous this stamp from the Tea Party set (page 35 of the annual catalog) looks when inked with Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, and Soft Suede markers. My bestie, Kim, designed this Deco Label and Label framelit-cut tag, as well as the entire project for our American Ink stampin' retreat a couple of weeks ago.

Who wouldn't be thrilled to receive a little something in a package like this? A simple mini muslin bag was made to look FABULOUS by inking the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder (both insides) with Soft Suede ink and pressing the mini bag inside. Some demos did that, while others ran it through the Big Shot. Both ways worked well. The detail is amazing. The Mini Muslin Bags are $9.95 for 8, and they're 100 percent cotton. You may find them on page 36 of the Holiday Catalog (item 132180).

Calm Christmas quick card

This is the bird from the Calm Christmas stamp set (page 26 of the Holiday Catalog), stamped simply in Pool Party ink for one of the 10 designs used at my 20-card Christmas class last weekend.

I started with a Pool Party card base, added a Whisper White layer on top of that, stamped my images and added a strip of silver glimmer paper for some sparkle. Of course, I added a tiny pearl for the bird's eye, as well.

There's still time to win FREE hostess benefits when you place an order thru my Online Store at http://TheRubberRoom.stampinup.net and use this hostess code - GGQ2GJ3A - by August 31. I'll draw a name on September 1 and announce the winner here.

Photo: I love the mini Blizzard King magnet board I bought from a country store that was closing its doors for good. Almost 2 years later, I found old alphabet magnets to go with it!

For my share today, I bought this Blizzard King fridge door at a country store that was closing its doors (and got a great deal on it!). A couple of years later, I found vintage magnets to go on it. I love it! See other vintage finds at http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. They bring back memories!

Cutting a perfect snowflake every time

Cut a perfect snowflake every time with the Festive Flurry Framelits in the Holiday Catalog (page 30). And if you bundle it with the Festive Flurry stamp set, you can save 15%! What's a snowflake without sparkle? I added a large rhinestone.

This was another of the 10 designs I used for my recent 20-card Christmas class. It uses a 1-1/2" x 5" strip of Winter Frost Specialty designer paper on a Whisper White layer that was adhered to a white card with dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Joy to the World stamp set (page 24 of Holiday Catalog), stamped in Island Indigo ink.

Win FREE hostess benefits when you place an order thru my Online Store at http://TheRubberRoom.stampinup.net and use this hostess code - GGQ2GJ3A - by August 31. I'll draw a name on September 1 and announce the winner here.

You may also be entered into a drawing for a Pretty Print embossing folder (in the Holiday Catalog) Sept. 1 if the Tag It stamp set is on your order. Tag It sales benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities.

And, if you love Halloween, you'll want to stop by September 1 for the Fright Night Blog Hop. I've got a special 3d item just for the occasion.

Finally, here's my antique share of the day - an aluminum shoe stretcher patented in the early 1900s. It's available via Booth 6 - http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. Have a wonderful day!

A framelit and punch quick Christmas card

Having a framelit and punch means not having to cut anything out for this Christmas card, another of the 10 designs used at my 20-card Christmas class.

The Ornament Keepsakes stamp was diecut using the Holiday Ornaments framelit, while the Label Bracket Punch made quick work of the Chocolate Chip-colored Tags 4 You stamp. A little 2-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter add some sparkle.

Merry Little Christmas and a Season of Style

It's never too early to work on Christmas cards! This card features the Merry Little Christmas stamp set in the Holiday Catalog (page 27). It was one of the 10 designs at my 20-card Christmas class yesterday, which I have to say was really fun! Such a great group of ladies and good energy.

The Cherry Cobbler card features the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack (page 22 of HC). Merry Little Christmas coordinates with a card kit, also on page 27. The kit includes materials to make 8 cards with envelopes (Item 132158, $9.95).

Win FREE hostess benefits when you place an order thru my Online Store at http://TheRubberRoom.stampinup.net and use this hostess code - GGQ2GJ3A - by August 31. I'll draw a name on September 1 and announce the winner here.

Here's a 1930s Munising maple rolling pin - a true antique that has weathered the decades in great shape! Maple is also the kind of wood used for Stampin' Up!'s wood block stamp sets. I love the old red- and green-handled kitchen items. They're as good today as they were back then! If you'd like to see more vintage and antique items, please "Like" http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. And have a great day!

That's the Ticket for Christmas card

That's the Ticket (page 33 of the annual catalog) has stamps for a variety of holidays, including the Christmas one you see here. Better still, Stampin' Up! has a Ticket Duo punch.

I started with a Pear Pizzazz card and used the Scallop Trim Border punch on the bottom of the card front. Then I added a layer of Whisper White that was embossed with the Woodgrain folder in the Big Shot. Two tickets were added with a mini silver brad, and a tree - using a bit of 1/8" Early Espresso taffeta for the trunk and a stamp and coordinating punch from Pennant Parade. This is a card I designed for my 20-card Christmas class today.

We've hit the last week of August! That means when you order the Tag It stamp set from my Online Store at http://TheRubberRoom.stampinup.net by August 31 you'll get your name entered into a drawing for the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in the Holiday Catalog. I'll announce the winner Sept. 1 AND if you use the following hostess code, you'll also be eligible to win the hostess benefits - GGQ2GJ3A.

Here's my vintage share of the day - an International Silver Company silver-plated angel ring holder. Isn't he sweet? He's got velvet on the bottom and feels weighty. This is going to my friend, Barb. See more vintage finds at http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. I hope you enjoy your day!

Punch art wreath Christmas card and kitchen canisters

Who needs a wreath stamp when you can make one like this with three punches? I used two scallop circle punches and the 1-1/4" circle punch with Gumball Green card stock and then added a Primrose Petal bow.

This is one of 10 designs I'm using for my 20-card Christmas class tomorrow. I've got a big group coming! There's a 2" x 5" strip of Very Vanilla on the Beautifully Baroque-embossed Primrose Petals card front.

Thank you Judy and Jo for your Online Orders! Your names are now in my Sept. 1 drawing for hostess benefits.

So how can you win something? Easy! Order the Tag It stamp set from me by August 31 thru my Online Store at http://therubberroom.stampinup.net and you'll get your name entered into a drawing for the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in the Holiday Catalog. I'll announce the winner Sept. 1 AND if you use the following hostess code, you'll also be eligible to win the hostess benefits - GGQ2GJ3A.

I love kitchen nesting canisters. My niece found these and gave them to me. I love the bold colors. Enjoy your weekend!

Flower Shop birthday and Banner Greetings

Did you notice that the new Pansy Punch has a great stamp set it coordinates with called Flower Shop (page 94 of the annual catalog)? This is my favorite stamp in the set. Talk about quick and easy cards!

This card starts with a Crumb Cake base and a strip of now retired Neutral designer paper. There's a new Neutral dsp pad you can buy to build a similar card. The images from Flower Shop and Banner Greetings (a hostess set) were stamped in Strawberry Slush. I used a ruler and Crumb Cake marker around the Very Vanilla layer under the flower, which was adhered with dimensionals, as was the hand-cut banner. I love the big pearl in the center! I CASE'd this card from Kim Singdahlsen. I simplified since I was using this card as one of 10 designs for a 20-card class last month.

Just over a week left in August! This panics my kids, because it means school is looming in the near future. But for you, it means this: Order the Tag It stamp set from me by August 31 and you'll get your name entered into a drawing for the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in the Holiday Catalog. I'll announce the winner on Sept. 1 AND if you use the following hostess code, you'll also be eligible to win the hostess benefits - GGQ2GJ3A.

I'm not sure how old this copper aircraft carrier cookie cutter is since I wasn't able to find it on the Kitchen Collectibles website, but living in a area where you can drive by these humungous carriers made this a special find for me. The ends are riveted, and the cutter cuts both ways, so it'll last forever! And best of all, it's Made in the U.S.A. Treasure abound at http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. Serene Silhouettes Christmas card; train case

I love simple and beautiful Christmas cards. This was one of the designs at my 10-card class this morning. I enjoyed visiting with each and every one of the ladies present. This card starts with a Very Vanilla card base. There's another vanilla layer (5-1/8" x 3-7/8") adhered to that one with dimensionals after being sponged and embossed with the Fancy Fans embossing folder, then the smaller layer of vanilla on top that was stamped with the bird/branch image from Serene Silhouettes (page 64 of the annual catalog). I love the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details on the birds for that bit of sparkle and shine. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs. I CASE'd this card from a fellow demonstrator, Patty Bennett.

Time's ticking away for my August Special: Order the Tag It (Item stamp set from me by August 31 and you'll get your name entered into a drawing for the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in the Holiday Catalog. I'll announce the winner on Sept. 1 AND if you use the following hostess code, you'll also be eligible to win the hostess benefits - GGQ2GJ3A.

I came upon this cute train case at a recent sale. I love the texture on the outside. I started a Facebook page of re-discovered treasures at http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods.

Halloween Bash with Toil & Trouble; fold-out stool

Did you notice the Halloween recipe on the Toil & Trouble stamp set? You'd be hard-pressed to find these ingredients locally, but I'm sure they're all available on the Internet. lol

I created this make and take using the Toil & Trouble stamp set (which includes the big stamp I diecut using the Apothecary Accent framelit), along with Halloween Bash. The latter is very punch friendly! I used a strip of Witches Brew washi tape and a 2" x 4" piece of Modern Medley designer paper. Ink colors are Jet Black StazOn and Tangerine Tango.

Don't forget my August Special: Order the Tag It (Item stamp set from me by August 31 and you'll get your name entered into a drawing for the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in the Holiday Catalog. I'll announce the winner on Sept. 1 AND if you use the following hostess code, you'll also be eligible to win the hostess benefits - GGQ2GJ3A.

I love the look of the old metal fold-out stools. The Yahtzee game and tackle box are sitting on the two steps. Then there's a tool box on the floor and a coffee kit for the car (it has an adaptor, spoons, mugs, EVERYTHING!) on the seat. My sister is coming over with a load of antiques today for me. I can't wait to see what she brings! It's so much fun. I hope you have a fun day too. If you'd like to follow my antique/vintage finds, please "Like" this page: http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. Truly Grateful card

When I see wheat I think of home. I grew up by wheat fields in eastern Washington. I drove a farm truck during harvest for my grandfather on the family farm, and then for my dad. It meant early mornings, hot and dusty afternoons, and watching the sun set. I loved it.

Everyone who attended Stampin' Up! Convention 2013 was able to order this Truly Grateful stamp set, among others, for 20 percent off. I chose to keep my card simple - a Sahara Sand card with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Sweater Weather designer paper, a strip of paper from the Thankful Tablescape kit (page 18 of Holiday Catalog) and a banner. The only ink used was Chocolate Chip. I used the Apothecary Accents framelits on the wheat image and added two pearls.

Don't forget: You may order digital downloads, Clearance Rack items, and anything in the catalog thru my Online Store at http://TheRubberRoom.stampinup.net. Every order placed thru August 31 will be eligible for hostess benefits starting at $25. Just remember to use this hostess code: GGQ2GJ3A. If you add the Tag It stamp set that benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities to your Online Order, you'll also be entered into a drawing for a Pretty Print textured embossing folder.

Thank you Cindylynn, Kim and Kathy J. for your Online Orders! You are now entered into my Sept. 1 drawing for hostess benefits. Whoo hoo!!!

Photo: Kelley's added new, bigger pop bottles from back when.

Do you remember when pop came in a bottle? I can remember getting pop bottles out of a vending machine as a kid when my siblings and I went with my mom to the laundrymat to wash sleeping bags (because there were HUGE washing machines there). And the pop was cheap. Now the bottles are vintage items, and my niece has a bunch in Booth 6. If you enjoy seeing blasts from the past, please like us on Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. Thanks!

A quick Giggle Greetings card

The sayings in the Giggle Greetings stamp set are so much fun! They're a departure from the typical "Happy Birthday" sentiments. And these colors were a departure for me.

I created this make and take on the fly during my stampin' retreat last weekend. I hadn't inked up Giggle Greetings yet, so I stamped it in Jet Black StazOn and Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple markers to outline the image. A quick flip of a corner to show the other side of the dsp and a dahlia embellishment finish the card.

Stampin' Up! has just released some fabulous single holiday stamps. Click on the link below to see the images and item numbers.

You may order these stamps, the new thinlits, MDS downloads, Clearance Rack items, and anything else that tickles your fancy thru my Online Store at http://TheRubberRoom.stampinup.net. Every order placed thru August 31 will be eligible for hostess benefits starting at $25. Just remember to use this hostess code: GGQ2GJ3A

Kelley and I added a bunch of "mantiques" to our booth yesterday. Of course they're by the tool box, tackle box, and other man items. You can follow our finds by hitting the "Like" button on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. Thanks! Have a wonderful day.
