Halloween Bash, Toil and Trouble for swap

Merjaba and Karşılama to my friends in Turkey! I'm happy you are here. How cute is that tiny spider on the word Halloween? Love it!

Before I forget, I have a 20-card class - all Christmas cards - this Saturday, Sept. 21, from 11-2 p.m. The cost is $20, which includes envelopes and light refreshments. I need to know by Sept. 18 (Weds.) if you and a friend plan on attending. Just email me at ericandterry@comcast.net. Thanks!

I chose to use the raven from Toil & Trouble and two stamps from the Halloween Bash set for this Halloween swap. I started with a Basic Black card and added a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Witches' Brew designer paper. I cut a few 1" strips for the flags - making sure each card had a spider on the far right flag. Of course I used a few punches (Designer Label, Oval Scallop, and 1-3/4" Circle) to make this card too.

You may order all of these products, along with Clearance Rack items, via my Online Store at http://therubberroom.stampinup.net. Please use this hostess code to be entered into a drawing for FREE hostess goodies - AKS76R6P.

My sister, CB, gave me this colorful vintage tin - Jack and Jill Paint Box - that was made in England. It's one of the items I'm making available through Booth 6. You may see items like this and so much more when you "Like" the Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. Enjoy the day!

Halloween blog hop; August freebies winner!

Though the temps are still in the 70s, the hours of daylight are shorter and it feels like the end of summer. One neighbor asked me over to pick blueberries in her yard today. A second brought over some zucchinis, so I baked several loaves of zucchini bread - some with walnuts and some with chocolate chips - as well as 24 muffins. My hubby delivered two loaves to my neighbor, who also shared some beautiful tomatoes with us. We could have our own little farmers' market here in my neighborhood. That would be sweet!

Welcome to the Fright Night Blog Hop. My downline, Sherry, had the great idea for the hop. You might've come from Pearl's blog. But if this is your first stop, no worries. You can start anywhere and not miss a thing!

For my project, I'm sharing a Halloween sampler - a home decor item - that may be as sweet or creepy as you wish.

Here's a better look at the sampler. Everything is Stampin' Up! product except for the shadow box frame, which I bought at a craft store for $5. Instead of buying a new frame for each holiday, I can simply take out the straight pins holding the Modern Medley designer paper and everything adhered to it to the velvet backing and pin a new sampler! I love that. I used the Halloween Bash and Halloween Hello stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog (page 21), along with ultrafine black glitter (page 20).

Congratulations to Judy Q. in New York for winning my August Mystery Hostess freebies!

Judy actually placed two online orders via my Online Store at http://therubberroom.stampinup.net, so that could explain why her name was drawn by my daughter. Halloween Bash with Toil & Trouble; fold-out stool

Did you notice the Halloween recipe on the Toil & Trouble stamp set? You'd be hard-pressed to find these ingredients locally, but I'm sure they're all available on the Internet. lol

I created this make and take using the Toil & Trouble stamp set (which includes the big stamp I diecut using the Apothecary Accent framelit), along with Halloween Bash. The latter is very punch friendly! I used a strip of Witches Brew washi tape and a 2" x 4" piece of Modern Medley designer paper. Ink colors are Jet Black StazOn and Tangerine Tango.

Don't forget my August Special: Order the Tag It (Item stamp set from me by August 31 and you'll get your name entered into a drawing for the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in the Holiday Catalog. I'll announce the winner on Sept. 1 AND if you use the following hostess code, you'll also be eligible to win the hostess benefits - GGQ2GJ3A.

I love the look of the old metal fold-out stools. The Yahtzee game and tackle box are sitting on the two steps. Then there's a tool box on the floor and a coffee kit for the car (it has an adaptor, spoons, mugs, EVERYTHING!) on the seat. My sister is coming over with a load of antiques today for me. I can't wait to see what she brings! It's so much fun. I hope you have a fun day too. If you'd like to follow my antique/vintage finds, please "Like" this page: http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods.
