Truly Grateful wheat

Wheat always reminds me of home - eastern Washington. Nothing beats a sunset when you're in the middle of acres of wheat. It's gorgeous!

I couldn't do all Christmas cards at my last 20-card class. We needed a thank-you card, too. This one is Very Vanilla card stock with Watercolor Wonder designer washi tape and twine, the bundle of wheat from Truly Grateful stamped in Hello Honey ink, and sentiment from Petite Pairs.

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday. I'll be out and about gathering auction items from local businesses who have generously put together gift baskets and gift certificates for our 2nd Annual Fall Fling Dinner & Auction on October 4. Let me know if you want a ticket! It's a fun event.

Truly Grateful for my club members

These are this month's notecards going in my club members' orders. I like to keep them sweet and simple. They use the Truly Grateful stamp set (wood 131730 $27.95; clear 131733 $19.95) in the Holiday Catalog. The strips of designer paper are from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit (133463 $19.95). The only other items used are Very Vanilla card stock and Early Espresso ink.

The Thankful Tablescape kit also has die-cut leaves, table tents, placecard holders, die-cut chalkboard labels with a white chalk marker, some fun birch-type paper and much more. Even if you don't want to use it for your Thanksgiving table, the parts and pieces are wonderful for card making!

Truly Grateful card

When I see wheat I think of home. I grew up by wheat fields in eastern Washington. I drove a farm truck during harvest for my grandfather on the family farm, and then for my dad. It meant early mornings, hot and dusty afternoons, and watching the sun set. I loved it.

Everyone who attended Stampin' Up! Convention 2013 was able to order this Truly Grateful stamp set, among others, for 20 percent off. I chose to keep my card simple - a Sahara Sand card with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Sweater Weather designer paper, a strip of paper from the Thankful Tablescape kit (page 18 of Holiday Catalog) and a banner. The only ink used was Chocolate Chip. I used the Apothecary Accents framelits on the wheat image and added two pearls.

Don't forget: You may order digital downloads, Clearance Rack items, and anything in the catalog thru my Online Store at http://TheRubberRoom.stampinup.net. Every order placed thru August 31 will be eligible for hostess benefits starting at $25. Just remember to use this hostess code: GGQ2GJ3A. If you add the Tag It stamp set that benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities to your Online Order, you'll also be entered into a drawing for a Pretty Print textured embossing folder.

Thank you Cindylynn, Kim and Kathy J. for your Online Orders! You are now entered into my Sept. 1 drawing for hostess benefits. Whoo hoo!!!

Do you remember when pop came in a bottle? I can remember getting pop bottles out of a vending machine as a kid when my siblings and I went with my mom to the laundrymat to wash sleeping bags (because there were HUGE washing machines there). And the pop was cheap. Now the bottles are vintage items, and my niece has a bunch in Booth 6.
