Calm Christmas provides peace on earth

 

Calm Christmas is a beautiful stamp set, complete with sentiments for the inside and outside of your Christmas card. You can find it in the Holiday Catalog (page 26, Wood 132736, $18.95; Clear 132739, $14.95).

 

This is an easy way to use the set - the bird was stamped in Baked Brown Sugar ink, while the sentiment is in Soft Suede ink. The 4" x 3-3/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock is then adhered over Soft Suede taffeta ribbon with a vintage button on top. I used this design for a recent 10-card class.

Calm Christmas quick card

 

This is the bird from the Calm Christmas stamp set (page 26 of the Holiday Catalog), stamped simply in Pool Party ink for one of the 10 designs used at my 20-card Christmas class last weekend.

 

I started with a Pool Party card base, added a Whisper White layer on top of that, stamped my images and added a strip of silver glimmer paper for some sparkle. Of course, I added a tiny pearl for the bird's eye, as well.
