Stocking Stuffer idea #2: Tea bag holders

Polka dots and Scentsational Season stamps make me happy! So what better way to use both than to make some tea bag holders?

Do you see the name on the tea bag? Ginger Snappish! I love that. I think it goes really well with the gingerbread man AND the mug with steam images. I didn't even have to cut these out - I used the Holiday Collection framelits (and the Window Collection Framelits for the solid card stock layer).

Today, I'm thankful for the slow, easy days of vacation time with my family.

Stamps: Scentsational Season, Tea Shoppe;
Ink: Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake;
Paper: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Polka Dot Parade dsp, Crumb Cake;
Accessories: Framelits - Holiday Collection and Windows Collection, 1/8" Early Espresso and Marina Mist taffeta ribbons, 1/8" hole punch, dimensionals.

I'm finally on the 5th and last card of my last 10-card class. This one was CASE'd from LeAnne Pugliese. You can see her original here. This Whisper White card was embossed through the middle with the Delicate Designs Folder, before I added a knot of Wild Wasabi stitched grosgrain and a Tiny Tag hanging by some white baker's twine. The candy cane is from the Scentsational Season stamp set in the Holiday Catalog. It has a coordinating framelit so it's easy to die-cut.

I'm looking forward to a Scentsational Season!

There's nothing like a Christmas tree to get you in the festive spirit! I used a Holiday Collection Framelit to die-cut this tree shape, then added some Old Olive paper from Polka Dot Parade dsp behind it and stamped a Daffodil Delight star from the Scentsational Season stamp set, which coordinates with the framelits.

I stamped the "christmas cheer" from Sweet Essentials first and then embossed the card front in Perfect Polka Dots before adding a knot of 1/8" Old Olive taffeta ribbon. This was one of the three projects Courtney and her friends made at her party. I showed you the red/white/blue Joyous Celebrations card yesterday, and here's the third:

I saw this Christmas Deer card on Pinterest, designed by Patti Chesky. It's a Crumb Cake card with a strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock and some crochet trim. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs. I love the use of the Fancy Fan Folder on the card front, as well as the tiny bird on the antlers.

I'm looking forward to my holiday bazaar Thursday at an assisted care facility about half a mile from my home. The residents and staff are wonderful, and really provide a good experience for vendors. I'm thankful there are wonderful places like this that truly appreciate our elderly, and care for them with love.

Scentsational Season notepads

I found a few notepads with pens in my cabinet this weekend, remembered a photo I'd pinned on Pinterest, and decided to cover them for the big festival next week. I used Snow Festival dsp on the candy cane pad, and Polka Dot Patterns dsp on the other two. They use a shape cut from the Window Frames Collections, but best of all, once stamped, it's easy to use the Holiday Collection Framelits to die cut them with the Big Shot. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Scentsational Season tri-shutter card for Christmas

Who wouldn't love to get a card that is fun to open and has an adorable gingerbread man greeting you with Christmas cheer?

This 5-1/2" x 12" Chocolate Chip card features the Scentsational Season bundle (stamp set and framelits on page 16 of the Holiday Catalog), as well as the Heart of Christmas stamp (featured in the top photo) and Snow Festival designer series paper. I also used the snowflake from the Mixed Medley hostess set, as well as a few rhinestones.

There's a how-to on Splitcoast Stampers (http://splitcoaststampers.com) under Tutorials. Basically you score the card stock at 2", 4", 8" and 10", then turn it so it's vertical and cut 1-1/2" from the left and right sides between the 2" and 10" score lines. Then you cut your designer paper to fit!

This is what the card looks like closed. Isn't it cute? And to think I didn't have to cut out a single image! There's a framelit for every stamp in the Scentsational Season stamp set.

Well, I've got a class and a club today, so I've got to get going. I hope you have a wonderful day!
