Club members made this lovely autumn Summer Starfruit card this month. It uses the Wonderfall stamp set in the Holiday Catalog along with the Autumn Leaves die. It uses a Top Note cut from Comfort Cafe dsp, a Cajun Craze Apothecary Accent Framelit, a Brushed Bronze button (love these!) with 1/8" taffeta. The sentiment is from Blooming with Kindness. I opted for a simple thank-you card because most people don't send Thanksgiving cards (at least in my groups).
Birds of a Feather designer paper rocks! It's got a great variety of patterns you see on the Crumb Cake tri-shutter card above - birds in cages, eggs, cute little birds and lovely patterns.
My club members made this card this month. I used the Apothecary Accents Framelits and Basics Glimmer brads after inking the Raspberry Ripple sentiment, which is from the You're Amazing stamp set.
I paper-pieced the chicks' shells, then colored them with Summer Starfruit and punched out the image with the oval scallop and added it to the card with dimensionals.

Who wouldn't love to get a card that is fun to open and has an adorable gingerbread man greeting you with Christmas cheer?
This 5-1/2" x 12" Chocolate Chip card features the Scentsational Season bundle (stamp set and framelits on page 16 of the Holiday Catalog), as well as the Heart of Christmas stamp (featured in the top photo) and Snow Festival designer series paper. I also used the snowflake from the Mixed Medley hostess set, as well as a few rhinestones.
There's a how-to on Splitcoast Stampers (http://splitcoaststampers.com) under Tutorials. Basically you score the card stock at 2", 4", 8" and 10", then turn it so it's vertical and cut 1-1/2" from the left and right sides between the 2" and 10" score lines. Then you cut your designer paper to fit!
This is what the card looks like closed. Isn't it cute? And to think I didn't have to cut out a single image! There's a framelit for every stamp in the Scentsational Season stamp set.

Bear with me as I write several posts today. I have been taking photos and getting things organized in my stamp area in preparation for another busy week. I have many more Christmas cards to post. I'm not all about Halloween, though I do enjoy it!
I love cards with movement! And this penny spinner Wonderful Winterland card is so fun and easy to make. This was one of my club projects this month.
I started with a Baja Breeze card, running the front through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Using the Apothecary Accents Framelits, I diecut this oval-like shape from Snow Festival dsp, then used the Word Window punch to punch through both layers 2+ times, making a track on which the spinner will rest.
The spinner is a penny, two dimensionals on top of each other, and a second penny. Then I stuck two dimensionals side by side on the outside of one penny and stuck it to the back middle of my "medallion" - the kid innertubing. I used a combination of markers and ink pads with a blender pen to color the image, outlining the entire thing in Sahara Sand to make the other colors pop.

It's great being able to stamp and punch great looking butterflies! These were all stamped in Rich Razzleberry - the middle one was stamped on Daffodil Delight card stock - and punched with the Elegant Butterfly punch, then pearls added.
This was one of my 10-card class designs. It uses the Fancy Fan Folder on the Whisper White card front, and the Apothecary Accents Framelits on Floral District dsp. The butterflies are adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Quick update on the laundry detergent I made the other day: Love it! It does just as well as the store-bought stuff I have for my HE washer.
Now for my potting stand makeover. I got this off of Craigslist for $30.

I sanded the wood, and threw away the old, broken wooden knobs, and wiped down all of the metal. I used Heirloom White spray paint for the body, and black paint for the wood top and drawer supports. I found the black paint for a buck on my flea market travels with Kim yesterday! I took the bench seat out of my van, so there was LOTS of room. We had so much fun, and came back with my van full of furnishings and littles (most were Kim's).
I want to say thanks to my sister, CB, for the advice on paint colors. I love it! I used Stampin' Up!'s Timeless Portraits fabric on the drawer fronts, and finished them off with real glass antique drawer knobs and fabric inside.
Now that this project is complete, it'll be moved to my Stampin' Studio, where it'll hold all kinds of crafting GOLD! lol
This Pumpkin Pie card uses the From The Heart stamp set with the Apothecary Accents Framelits to make a swing card. You're looking at the front of it. The card itself measures 4-1/4" x 7-1/4" with score lines at 2-3/4" and 3-3/4".
On the back side is this cute blimp from the Moving Forward stamp set. I'm hosting a class with this stamp set on July 3 at 11 a.m., though I need to know by the end of today if you want to attend. So the trick to this swing card? Line up the end of the Apothecary Accent Framelit on the end of the 2-3/4" scored side of the pumpkin piece. Set the top cutting pad so the edge is at the 2-3/4" score line and run through the big shot. Then without picking up the framelit, turn the pumpkin piece 180 degrees and line up the end of the cutting pad on the 3-3/4" score line and run through again. The framelit will only cut through the card stock with the cutting pad on top. Stamp your images and use the same framelit to cut them out, then adhere them to each side of the swinging pumpkin piece.
This card was the third of three technique cards made for a class last Thursday.
I love the sentiment on this Summer Starfruit card. It's from the From My Heart stamp set. I stamped it in Raspberry Ripple, then used the Apothecary Accent framelit to cut it out. I used a template in the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack (so fun!) to pierce around the framelit. And the new pierce mat is awesome! It's a HUGE surface at 6-1/2" x 9-1/2". Huge! Anyway, other details for this card include the Patio Party dsp run through the Framed Tulips embossing folder for added texture. There's also a 1-1/2" strip of dsp on strip of Midnight Muse card stock that's been punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. This was one of my club cards this month.
