Peace on Earth and Label Card Thinlit

This sentiment from the Greetings of the Season stamp set is one of my holiday favorites. I paired it with the Label Card Thinlit for a quick and easy card.

I started with a 6" x 6" piece of Island Indigo card stock and added a 1-1/4" strip of Winter Frost Specialty Paper (one of the shiny patterns). Then I used a snowflake stamp from the Just Believe set in White Craft Ink to add my own pattern on the left. This was one of the designs at my 10-card Christmas class yesterday. I had a great group of women there and truly enjoyed the afternoon.

Snow Day joy

Oh my, this snowman looks so joyful! You can see the Dazzling Diamonds glitter making him shine.

This Pool Party card opens a bit differently - at the top with a flap - making it easy to add a gift card inside, or just a holiday message. The front of the card was embossed with the Northern Flurry folder (item 120902, $7.95). The snowman is layered on Brushed Silver card stock for added shine. I used a Basic Black marker for his arms and smile, and a Tangerine Tango marker for his nose. I CASE'd this card from SU! demo Dawn Griffith.

Heads up: If you are a regular customer or club member of mine, be on the lookout for the upcoming Occasions Catalog, as well as the Salebration Catalog.

Rejoicing with You Christmas card stamp set

I love the combination of Elegant Eggplant and River Rock colors for this angelic Christmas card using the Rejoicing with You stamp set.

The River Rock piece was run through the Fancy Fan Folder (did you see the Texture Boutique Embossing Machine that works with all of the Stampin' Up! embossing folders? Click here. Supplies are limited.)

This is design 4 of 5 from my last 10-card class. And I borrowed it from here. I've got another Christmas class coming up Nov. 20. If you're interested in attending, email me by Nov. 18 at ericandterry@comcast.net.

Today I'm thankful for birthdays. My daughter went to a bowling party that had a Hollywood theme. It was a lot of fun! Each birthday we celebrate is a gift, so embrace every day, week, month and year you get.

Online Extravaganza dates Nov. 19-28

Snowflake die and trees for Christmas cards

Happy Sunday! It's been a full weekend, what with the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar in Tacoma yesterday, and watching the fun movie Hotel Transylvania with my family for my daughter's birthday. I've got loads of cards and other projects to share with you.

Today, I'm posting a few cards from a 10-card Christmas class. The one above uses the Snow Flurry die for the Big Shot, a design from the Candlelight Christmas Specialty dsp pack, and a sentiment from Greetings of the Season.

The new Holiday Frame embossing folder covers the front of a card beautifully. I stamped the oval from Joyous Celebrations in Midnight Muse ink, punched it out with the Oval Punch, then stamped and cut out the tree from the same set and adhered it with a dimensional. A rhinestone where the star is adds a bit of bling.

I used the same sketch for this Evergreen Christmas card that I did for this Halloween card. The Very Vanilla card has a few 3/4-inch strips of paper from the Candlelight Christmas Specialty dsp pack. This is a terrific design for random scraps! The little "Merry Christmas" is the corner is from the hostess set Mixed Medley. It's stuck on the top corner with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Christmas cards and cool furniture finds of the day

Ooh, these mittens look so cozy! I love the glitter on them. This was one of the five designs at a recent 10-card Christmas class.

I CASE'd this card from Jill Hilliard, though I changed the embossed part to a Delicate Design Folder. It uses the Make a Mitten stamp set and Mitten Builder Punch, along with Greetings of the Season with Baja Breeze and Island Indigo colors of ink and card stock.

I had the best day today! Look at my biggest score - a $25 pew! The seat compartment opens. I think it's adorable. My BFF Kim and I went to a vintage market, a thrift store, and a handful of garage sales. We each got a pew at a moving sale. Eric - an actor who starts filming on the TV show I Hate My Teenage Daughter next month - is helping his mom purge two storage units and a garage so he can move her to a condo he bought for her in Los Angeles. He's quite the talker, and an absolute sweetheart! I also found these two items at the moving sale:

This little unit is sitting on a shabby chic table I bought at the vintage market today. Eric's mom had used it to hold onions and potatoes. This is a "before" photo. It cleaned up nicely. I can't wait to use it at the Tacoma Holiday Food & Gift Festival next month. Kim and I have been working on lots of fabulous handmade crafts!

This was another little table I picked up. I like that it has a clear, hinged drawer and is sturdy.

Now for more Christmas cards:

Sassy Salutations and Snow Festival dsp using a Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch from a couple of weeks ago.

A sentiment from More Merry Messages and the Music Notes standard wheel, CASE'd from Deb Lalim.

A monochromatic card in Soft Suede with Snowflake Soiree, CASE'd from Mary Fish.

The fifth Christmas card design was the No Peeking card here.

Have a wonderful weekend! I'll see you back here Monday morning with my last Merry Monday challenge as the Featured Designer for September. I hope you'll join in the fun!
