Floral Frames Collection framelits card with fold at top

How sweet is this vintage button with a baker's twine bow?

One of my club members asked about using framelits to create differently-shaped cards. I went with the Floral Frames Collection.

Here's a look at the side of the card. What's cool is that when you add a framelit-cut flower out of Quattrefancy dsp it doesn't look like a fold on top at all. I layered Pool Party and Melon Mambo flowers along with a different patterns of the Quattrefancy paper and finished it off with a vintage button with white baker's twine. The sentiment is from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set, stamped in Smoky Slate. This card fits in a regular medium-sized envelope.

Mosaic Madness and Secret Garden make and takes

A handful of rhinestones add sparkle to this card, which was a make and take Kim brought for our demonstrator gathering this past weekend. The Mosaic Madness stamp set has a coordinating embossing folder and punch. Love it!

Mary Ann brought a Wisteria Wonder and Eggplant Envy Secret Garden card. The sentiment is from Blooming with Kindness. We colored the flowers with ink pads and a blender pen, then added 2-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the center of each flower.

My group is wonderful! Some of the demos volunteer to bring projects for everyone to make, some bring food (we had a very nice spread Saturday!), and swapping cards is always optional and fun! We're winding down the number of days left to order from the current catalogs (annual and Spring), so if there's something you want, order it soon. You may always order thru my Online Store at http://TheRubberRoom.stampinup.net.

Finally, this Friday is when Kim and I are setting up our 10' x 10' booth at the Heirloom Rubber Stamp and Paper Arts Festival in Puyallup at the fairgrounds. We'll be right up front with our shabby chic/vintage furnishings holding a ton of retired stamps, punches, ribbons, and so much more! I hope you can join us this Saturday or Sunday (or both!). Have a wonderful day!!!

Blooming with Kindness quick card, plus free table redo

Blooming with Kindness is one of those stamp sets I love because the main image is beautiful simply stamped alone in one color, and because there are so many different word stamps. I love my words!

I used this design at a 10-card class, although it was a square card on Crumb Cake card stock. I mailed that card (after all, isn't that why we make them?), so I used the extra dsp to make a couple of these on the Whisper White card stock. It's quick and easy, and uses Island Indigo ink and card stock, along a Summer Starfruit pattern in the Birds of a Feather dsp pack.

On my quest to continue shabby chic-ing (a word?) my Stampin' Studio, I picked up a free wood table a couple of weeks ago. I painted it with Martha Stewart's Sunken Pool paint, but only one coat so I didn't cover all the dents and scratches. I mean, isn't that what makes the table shabby?

A close-up of some of the loveable knicks and scratches:

I'm going upstairs to stamp now. I've finished my chores (cleaning, dishes and laundry), and I even made my own cooking spray ala Pinterest today - it's just one part Olive Oil to five parts water in a spray bottle. Shake it well before using it. It's wonderful!

Happy Stampin'!
