Gently Falling birthday card for Pink Paper Bakery challenge

I have a heckuva time feeding ribbon through button holes. And since I wanted Summer Starfruit ribbon to coordinate with the card, I decided just to cut it. Here's a close-up of it. I love the fraying ends. Oh, what a beautiful morning!

A dear friend of mine is celebrating her birthday today! Barb has become a great friend of mine over the past several months. She's strong, reliable, and very loving. She also happens to be in my downline, and is a very creative stamper! Barb loves Comfort Cafe dsp, so I thought I'd combine those colors - Midnight Muse, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede and Summer Starfruit - for her card, using the sketch from Pink Paper Bakery.

Pink Paper Bakery is cooking up some fabulous challenges! This sketch challenge is good thru Oct. 27, so you have plenty of time to come up with something and add the link.

Gently Falling stamps used for Autumn card

Club members made this Autumn card, which I CASE'd from Heather Klump. It uses patterned paper from Frostwood Lodge, quilted Cherry Cobbler ribbon, and stamps from the Gently Falling set. The sentiment is from Grateful Greetings.

Gently Falling card for Monkey Challenge 77

It was challenging trying to use the A La Card Monkey sketch and the theme of Leaves (which also includes autumn/fall/Thanksgiving). After much trial and error, I decided I'd go with this. It has three different kinds and colors of leaves on three different panels that are fanned out.

I went with this experiment - stamping the greeting on a scrap with a leaf on it. I like it!

Stamps: Gently Falling, Petite Pairs;
Ink: Pool Party, More Mustard, Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso;
Paper: Very Vanilla, Pool Party, More Mustard, Early Espresso, Spice Cake dsp;
Accessories: Early Espresso quilted ribbon, oval punch, scallop oval punch, and dimensionals.

Gently Falling card for Monkey Challenge 71: Autumn

Here's a peek at an upcoming stamp set and designer paper in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini. You can order from it September 1, and trust me, you'll want to!

I stamped this card with the Gently Falling set, which coordinates beautifully with the Spice Cake dsp and fabric that you see here. I used Soft Suede and Baja Breeze inks and card stocks, along with 1/8" Early Espresso taffeta, a Regals brad, pearls and a couple of punches for the greeting, which is from Grateful Greetings. I love this combination! I stamped off the Baja Breeze for the inside of the leaf for a lighter touch. It's really pretty in person, though it's hard to pick up the delicate tone in the photo.

I created this card for this week's A La Card Monkey Challenge 71: Autumn + Sketch.

Stamps: Gently Falling, Grateful Greetings;
Ink: Baja Breeze, Soft Suede;
Paper: Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, Spice Cake dsp;
Accessories: Spice Cake fabric, 1/8" Early Espresso taffeta, basic pearls, dimensionals. Regals brads, oval punch and scallop oval punch.
