A New Year and more time? I hope you make the most of it!

When I first saw the Tea Time Trinkets in the 2013 Spring Catalog I was wowed! I think they're adorable... and plan to use the little tea cup and saucer for a charm bracelet. But there are two clock faces among the trinkets - one of which I wanted to use for today's card since today is all about time.

This card uses the retro-looking Tea for Two dsp layered on Early Espresso card stock (scallop border punched and embossed with a Needlepoint Border skinny folder - also in the Spring Catalog), on a So Saffron card with touches of Island Indigo. I used those same colors to ink up stamps from the Clockworks set, along with a sentiment from Elements of Style.

I used this sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge #99.

It's going to be a great year! I can just feel it. January marks my 11th year as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, this is my 1,800th blog post, there will be new opportunities to be creative and to volunteer and make the world a better place, and focusing on the message above. I wish you all the best in 2013.

Fun Flowers die and Elements of Style sympathy card...

I really like the look of Very Vanilla and Basic Black together. It looks sophisticated and "clean." This was one of the stamp-a-stack cards at Ginette's a few days ago. We stamped the largest stamp from Elements of Style on each layer of the Fun Flower (Big Shot die), adding dimensionals with each layer, and finishing it with a Neutral designer button (black, of course). The flower is adhered over a ric-rac strip I cut using the Tasteful Trim die. Finally, the sentiment is from the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set.

Elements of Style and Spotlighting with a Punch...

Like many demonstrators, I'm working my way through colors that are soon to retire.

The card base is Handsome Hunter, with the big floral spray from Elements of Style stamped in the same color ink. We stamped the spray a second time on scrap paper in Basic Brown ink and punched it out with the 1-1/4" circle punch.

There's a 1-3/8" circle of Handsome Hunter layered behind the colored flowers, which were watercolored (the reason we used Basic Brown) using Rose Red and Handsome Hunter ink pads.

A knot of Chocolate Chip satin ribbon finishes the card. Everyone chose a different sentiment.

Kim Cracked Glass Technique with Elements of Style...

The Bermuda Bay on this square card pops!

Kim's club members made this cracked glass card recently with the Elements of Style stamp set in the Summer Mini Catalog.

To do the Cracked Glass Technique:

Stamp your image. Cover entire piece of card stock with VersaMark ink and heat emboss Glassy Glaze enamel. Do this step 3 times. After it cools, simply bend card stock till it cracks!
