Not So Seriously thank you

Not So Seriously is a fun stamp set with crazy phrases like the one on this card. Inside the card, it says, "... It's a log bigger than my heart!" This card uses Domestic Goddess dsp, a Designer In Color Brad, and Calypso Coral ink and card stock.

Top Dog & Something Fabulous from Not So Seriously stamp set

These dogs are so happy! I couldn't help but use these stamps from the Not So Seriously stamp set. I paired up the dogs with Cajun Craze card stock and Well Worn dsp. The sponged banner and trinkets are the only embellishments.

Here are a couple more stamps from Not So Seriously. This Pool Party card uses the Domestic Goddess dsp (which I've also been using for Christmas cards!), the Scallop Oval die, and basic pearls, along with ruffled Calypso Coral ribbon. Check out the inside:



Not So Seriously twisted easel card for Technostamper challenge

This lady from the Not So Seriously stamp set cracks me up. I decided this was a "fancy" card, being a twisted easel card with some of that velvety Mocha Morning Specialty Paper and all, so I gave her bigger black eyelashes, bigger dark eyes, and some pearl earrings.

By making the front of the card square (4-1/4" x 4-1/4") and folding one corner to the opposite, you can adhere an entire cardfront with all its layers, to the part that was folded to make it open this way. It's called a Twisted Easel card. I have a free tutorial under the Tutorials tab above.

I'm really happy with the way this card turned out. I love the Mocha Morning paper layered on Soft Suede or Basic Black card stocks, as they are here. They make the card feel rich. I made this card using Mary Jo's sketch (flipped) at http://technostamper.blogspot.com/:

Not So Seriously "Thank you from the bottom of my butt" card for 411

I've been having a lot of fun with my Not So Seriously stamp set. This is such a sassy, kinda crazy set. You can tell from the words on this card! The inside of the card says, "...it's a lot bigger than my heart!" How cute is that?

To color this gal, I used a Bashful Blue marker on her eyes so they weren't so beady looking. And I colored around the entire image with Bashful Blue to help the other colors (Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Blush Blossom) pop.

I started with a Whisper White card base, then added a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Concord Crush card stock that I'd run through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (in the Big Shot). The designer paper is from Cheery Treat, a hostess offering. It's layered on Concord Crush and Lucky Limeade, with some Regals buttons with white baker's twine. Not So Seriously top dog card

This group of dogs is from a fun set called Not So Seriously. In addition to some cute images, there are some great phrases for outside - and inside - the card.

I started with a Cajun Craze card and added a Stripes-embossed layer of Not Quite Navy. You can see some of the Well Worn dsp on top of that. Did you see the new denim ribbon? I love it! I used Watercolor Crayons and an aqua painter to color in the dogs. Hope you like it! This is one of my club cards this month.

Button Buddies for Monkey Challenge 65: Buttons & Bows

This Button Buddies pig is the cutest! First, there's that nose. I added the nostrils with a black marker so they were visible through the button. (Just a side note: When you add Baker's Twine in the button, it looks like snot! Yikes.) I used the marker for the eyes too.

Did you notice the new Houndstooth embossing folder on the Melon Mambo layer? I used the debossed side. The dsp is from the Cheery Treat hostess pack, along with some Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon. And the words? Well, they come from the Not So Seriously stamp set. The inside says: And I'm thoroughly enjoying it!

I used the sketch from A La Card Monkey. I love the little piglet and his soft pink snout!
