Friends Never Fade Amazing Folding Card

I love the colors of this Amazing Folding Card, as it was called on the SU! Alaskan cruise, though on the cruise we used Sweets for the Sweet stamps and different colors. Yes, mine uses Greenhouse Gala dsp, which is now retired, but the Friends Never Fade and You're a Gem stamp sets are still current.

To make this card, cut a piece of card stock 8" x 8" and score at 4" on two sides. Then score from one corner to the opposite (only one diagonal line). Use a bone folder to crease the folds really well because the easier your card stock folds, the easier you'll find getting the corners into place.

From there simply cut smaller squares (3-3/4" square and 3-1/2" square) for the inside panels - or you may use photos for a really unique card! I cut my ribbon at 27 inches and position it so it ties at the side.

This Amazing Folding card is actually one-third of an Accordian Scrapbook, aka Squash Book. It works with 12" x 12" card stock (for 6" squares) too. So try one and have fun with it!

Friends Never Fade meets Vintage Wallpaper...

This is one of the five cards we're making tonight at my All-Occasion Stamp-a-Stack.

I started with a Crumb Cake card base, run through the Big Shot in the Vintage Wallpaper folder.

I used Always Artichoke and Bashful Blue markers to ink up the floral image from Friends Never Fade - same with the sentiment, which is from Sincere Salutations - on a 2" x 4-3/4" Whisper White piece.

I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on a 3/4" x 4-3/4" piece of Bashful Blue card stock, and a scrap piece for the Photo Corner Punch pieces, which are adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Pearl's Friends Never Fade glittery swap...

Pearl created her swap using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, All Holidays (for the sentiment), and taffeta ribbon.

She also used a strip of Greenhouse Gala designer paper, and cut out a flower from Friends Never Fade that was stamped in Daffodil Delight. The flower was adhered with dimensionals, then glitter was added in the center.

Friends Never Fade with Greenhouse Gala dsp...

This card features two new colors - Pear Pizzazz and Concord Crush - and a new stamp set called Friends Never Fade.

The designer paper is from the Greenhouse Gala pack. I love the patterns! In fact, I think my order today (1st day to order from the new catalog) will include lots of designer paper. It's too hard to just pick a pack or two. I think I need it all!!!

The sentiment is from Teeny, Tiny Wishes.

Friends Never Fade and Greenhouse Gala dsp...

It took hours to organize my retiring stamps and rearrange those that are sticking around. THEN I could start playing with the stamps - such as this Friends Never Fade set - I pre-ordered from the new catalog (you'll get it July 1).

If you haven't heard, Baja Breeze is coming back as part of a color collection. And this Greenhouse Gala paper is gorgeous. I particular like this color combination.

When I stamped the sentiment, the brown wasn't as deep as what you see on the paper, so after I colored the flower, I covered the entire layer with VersaMark and then clear embossed it. That helped a lot, and made it glossy to boot! The sentiment is adhered with dimensionals.
