D is for Dog sympathy card for Monkey Challenge 69

This week's new challenge at A La Card Monkey is a sympathy or thinking of you card with a sketch. My neighbor has to have her dog put to sleep this weekend, so I felt this was appropriate. It's hard saying goodbye to a dog that has been in your family for 14+ years, as her dog has. I didn't want the card to be a downer, but I did want her to know I'm thinking of her and Nicky.

It's always good to have one in your stash should something happen. Here's the sketch I followed:

Stamps: D is for Dog;
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso;
Paper: Whisper White, Just Add Cake dsp, Poppy Parade, Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso;
Accessories: 1/8" Early Espresso taffeta, Stampin' Dimensionals, 1" and 1-1/4" circle punches.

Sketch challenge with D is for Dog...

I created this card for a friend's birthday - she loves her dogs - and with the Mojo Monday 160 Sketch shown above.

My card uses Celebrations dsp, along with the D is for Dog stamp set. I stamped the dog in Soft Suede, then watercolored around him with an aqua painter and Old Olive and Pacific Point ink pads. The main things to point out are the scallops made using the Tasteful Trim die in the Holiday Mini, and the glimmer brads (love those!). Thanks for looking!

Stamps: D is for Dog, Silhouette Sentiments;
Ink: Soft Suede, Old Olive, Pacific Point;
Paper: Celebrations dsp, Whisper White, Real Red, Pacific Point, Old Olive;
Accessories: 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Curly Label Punch, Brights glimmer brads, 5/8" Bashful Blue satin ribbon, aqua painter, Stampin' Dimensionals.

D is for Dog birthday card...

The zigzag paper in the Greenhouse Gala designer pack is so bright and cheerful, I figured I'd pair it up with a cute dog from the D is for Dog stamp set.
The large red scallop was punched, and the 1-3/8" circle punch layered nicely on top of it. Those layers were adhered to the card with dimensionals.
I paper pierced a strip of Baja Breeze card stock and stamped the greeting from Family Phrases in Baja Breeze ink.
