Sharing cards from a couple of new friends

I want to share a couple of cards with you today from new friends. The top one is from a 14-year-old girl named Sahara. I met her at the Kitsap Arts & Crafts Festival a few weekends ago, and then she came to visit me at my studio. I gifted her with some stamps, inks and paper. She loves crafting! There's no minimum age! Sahara sent me this adorable thank-you card.

Kathleen is a new friend of mine from Silverdale. I love how elegant this card looks with the black and white palette and the embossing on the butterflies and card front. Lovely!

Having friends like these reminds me how crafting has brought some wonderful people into my life. I'm extremely grateful!

My hubby's Beary Best Friends birthday card...

Every year on my birthday, my hubby asks what he can get me. I told him that all I wanted was a hand-stamped card. It stresses him out! lol He works will tools day in and day out, but stamps and ink throw him for a loop. The kids helped their dad find what he needed - a "figure" that could hold balloons. The bear is from Beary Best Friends. Eric used a punch for the balloons. It makes me smile to think of him coloring in the bear.

My son put together this card. He knows I like turtles (Fox & Friends stamp set), he stamped balloons, and punched a cupcake.

I love my guys! They're the best. And my birthday was the best, thanks to my family and friends!!! I love you all.

Forest Friends & Beary Best Friends...

Brandy brought this Forest Friends make & take to our gathering.

We stamped bambi in Basic Brown ink on the widest twill tape. A few inches of 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain was folded over and attached to the back with a silver brad.

The Whisper White and brown layers of card stock were run through the Big Shot Top Note die, and we trimmed around the white Top Note where it was perfed.

We used the jumbo wheel, Friendly Words, on the Basic Brown pad to ink up the white layer, and finished the card with a stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Paula provided this Beary Best Friends make & take for us. What's adorable is the print dress. We stamped the girl bear once on Very Vanilla card stock, then again on a scrap piece of print pattern paper, cutting this one out.

I also love the brads for the centers of the flowers and on the shoe.

Paula said she did this card as a project at a recent workshop and everyone loved it! I can understand why.

Beary Best Friends...

This Kraft card features a few Holiday Mini items - the stamp sets Beary Best Friends and Beary Nice Wishes, and Pawsitively Prints designer paper.

The project comes straight from Stampin' Up!. It also has 1/4" Pretty in Pink grosgrain, silver brads, and was colored with watercolor crayons and an aqua painter.

Stampin' Up! has teamed up with Build-a-Bear Workshop to bring you and exciting and exclusive collecction of products. In addition to the stamp sets, there are many dies (including Halloween and Christmas outfits for the bears).
