Paula's Animal Stories swap...

Paula brought this card as a make & take to our American Ink demo gathering yesterday at my studio.

It's a Whisper White card with Bravo Burgundy and Cameo Coral (retiring at the end of this month).

The giraffe is from the Animal Stories stamp set. We used the 1-1/4" punch for the circles, adhering them with SNAIL.
The sentiment is from the retiring stamp set Way To Go.

If you'd like to order any retiring items, please visit my website and click on SHOP. Thanks!

Fun swaps...

Here are some of the swaps from our recent American Ink gathering.

This Build-a-Bear girl-on-a-stick puppet was made by Frankie White. Check out the Holiday Mini Catalog Sept. 1 to order Build-a-Bear stamps and dies for the Big Shot.

Sherry Nye came up with this Build-a-Bear swap card, using Razzleberry Lemonade designer paper.

Pearl McGill made this Always card with some help from the Big Shot.

Mariah Gandy (with help from mom Rose) created this Animal Stories card with Tall Tales designer paper.

And one more Back to School swap was made by Holly Endress. Pop over to her blog here to see her apple card.

Have a great day!

Owl: Animal Stories...

Kim came up with this sweet owl card using the Animal Stories and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets, and a bunch of punches.

The owls are stamped in Dusty Durango and Rich Razzleberry inks and punched out with the 1-1/4" circle punch, layered on Rich Razzleberry with the 1 3/8" circle punch, and then onto a Dusty Durango scallop circle dotted with the Uni-bal white gel pen.

The sentiment (notice the additional "to friend" which was inked with a marker) is punched using the Modern Label punch (new!), then layered onto a Dusty Durango piece that's been run through the Movers & Shapers die with one of the magnetized dies from the Punch Window set for the Big Shot.

I (heart) Animal Stories...

I tore 1/4" off the front right flap of this Animal Stories card, which features the elephant from that set.

There's a strip of Sahara Sand card stock next to the torn edge, which was dry embossed with the Crop-a-dile.

I cut out the elephant and adhered it with dimensionals to a heart (Full Heart punch) that's been pierced by hand, which is then layered on a So Saffron circle.

The ribbon is double-stitched Rose Red, and the "for your shower" is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

This card idea came out of the new catalog. If you still don't have one, let me know! You'll love all of the fabulous new projects, products and Big Shot dies.

Scrapping with the new In Colors...

It always feels good to scrapbook - getting your photos down with some brief journaling to remember a moment in time.

This first page uses Soft Suede card stock with a strip of Tall Tales designer paper. The giraffe from Animal Stories was stamped on So Saffron card stock in Soft Suede ink, cut out and adhered with dimensionals. The Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiment was stamped on So Saffron in the same ink and punched out with the Modern Label punch, then I added a couple of Ruby Red brads.

The next 6" x 6" page is Crushed Curry with a square piece of Razzleberry Lemonade.

The photos are matted in Soft Suede with some luscious polka-dotted Crushed Curry ribbon around the top photo.

I colored a small flower with markers and cut it out, adhering it to the journaling block with a dimensional.

Animal Stories card ideas

The new Animal Stories stamp set looks terrific with the coordinating designer paper, called Tall Tales.
I used Crushed Curry for the giraffe card, along with the Soft Suede and Crushed Curry markers to ink up the stamp. Add some fabulous paper, layered on Soft Suede, as well as some Crushed Curry ribbon, and the images pop.

The "happy birthday" is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. It's punched out with the new Modern Label punch, then I added two More Mustard brads.

For the elephant card, I used large piece of Tall Tales paper, layered on So Saffron and Soft Suede. I cut out one of the elephants and adhered him with dimensionals.

The "hello baby" is stamped in Soft Suede, punched with the Modern Label punch and adhered under the elephant's legs. I added a mini library clip and a knot of Old Olive grosgrain with a mini glue dot.

My made this owl and elephant card using Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry. There's a strip of Razzleberry Lemonade paper layered on Rich Razzleberry card stock with a knot of Soft Suede ribbon around it.
