I went to the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar in Tacoma Sept. 29 with many of my American Ink downline, guests, and demo friends. We filled five tables. It was a really nice day with some great projects, demonstrators, displays, swaps and more. I didn't make any swaps to take, so I felt fortunate when one of my downline - Teresa - and two demo friends - Karen and Valorie - each gave me one of theirs.
Teresa is a demo in Mill Creek. She's come up with some very cool projects for her stamping group. This card uses the Woodgrain embossing folder and the Autumn Leaves die for the Big Shot. She pieced together stripes of Orchard Harvest dsp before die-cutting the leaves. I love the way they look. The sentiment is from the Days of Gratitude stamp set.
Karen is a demonstrator friend from Port Townsend. She made this beautiful bookmark. The Summer Starfruit ribbon is so soft at the top. And I love those flowers - from the Pleasant Poppies background stamp - and En Francais.
Val is a demo friend from Port Orchard. She left this swap without a greeting so you can add your own. I appreciate that! I will be making it a birthday card. I love the use of punches to make the pumpkin, as well as the bit of Baker's Twine on the stem. The Woodgrain embossing on the white layer is awesome.
After the seminar ended, a big group of us went to the Old Spaghetti Factory for a nice dinner. And Karen's guest, Barb B., and Pat's daughter, Rachel, signed up as demonstrators that day! Welcome to our stampin' family, ladies.
