You're Just My Cup of Tea

 

How cute is this Tea Party image inked with just two markers? Fabulous!

 

This Very Vanilla card uses a strip of Afternoon Picnic designer paper with two images from the Tea Party stamp set. The larger one was die-cut with an Oval Collections framelit, while the tag-shaped one was punched using a retired punch. My BFF, Kim, put together this card for a 20-card class I had. I love the crochet trim and the entire card!

 

I picked Saturday, April 26, as the date for my next 20-card class. It'll be all-occasion cards again, which includes birthday, thinking of you, and even sympathy (I bring additional greetings). If you'd like to attend, please email me no later than April 22.

A birthday on The Open Sea

 

Here we are again with another quick and easy card - this time a birthday card for a man using The Open Sea stamp set, as well as a hostess stamp set called Banner Greetings.

 

 

Rectangles of Crumb Cake, Real Red and Marina Mist add lots of color to this simple card, which also has a knot of Whisper White/Island Indigo baker's twine.

Timeless Talk bright bicycle birthday card

 

This is definitely a bicycle built for one. This quick and easy birthday card uses the Timeless Talk stamp set with a Starburst framelit and Retro designer paper - both are in the Occasions Catalog.

 

I used a simple layout for this card - two rectangles and a circle. It's a great go-to layout when you need any kind of card quickly. The sentiment is from the hostess set Express Yourself, in the annual catalog.

Simply Sketched birthday card

 



 This floral card was another design at my recent stamp-a-stack class, where my customers make two of each card design. This stamp set is called Simply Sketched, and it's an exclusive hostess set.

 

I started with a Crumb Cake card, then added a 3" x 4" piece of Epic Day This and That designer paper with a strip of Scallop Trim Border-punched Calypso Coral. The punch is a Weekly Deal through Monday, March 24.

 

The sentiment is from the same stamp set. The ribbon is Very Vanilla seam binding, and the flowers were stamped on a vanilla piece of card stock that was run through the Big Shot in an Ovals Collection framelit and adhered with dimensionals.

Start Spring By the Tide

 

Happy Spring! The colors in the Retro designer paper pack are bright and springy and fitting for this Tangerine Tango lobster from By the Tide stamp set.

 

I used the Angled Tag Topper Punch to make a quick 2" x 4-1/4" tag for the lobster, adding a little bow of Calypso Coral baker's twine. The sentiment is from Wetlands. My stamp-a-stack customers made two of these cards recently. Quick and easy man cards - gotta love that!



Flowering Petite Petals card with punch

 

I'm a big fan of stamp sets with coordinating punches. It makes putting a card together so much faster! Above, I used the Petite Petals stamp set - stamping this flower in Real Red - before punching them with the Petite Petals Punch.

 

This Whisper White card was run through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fans embossing folder. I added a tag made with Chocolate Chip card stock and the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, and a sentiment from Remembering Your Birthday, punched with the Modern Label Punch. The leaves were made using the Little Leaves Sizzlits (page 188 of the annual catalog - item 114511, $5.50).

 

It's the last day of winter. The sun is shining and it's about 44 degrees right now, but I'll take it. At least it's not raining - again! I hope you enjoy your day.

Baby We've Grown Easter card

 

I love this bunny in the Baby, We've Grown stamp set in the Occasions Catalog. Above, I colored him with a Sahara Sand ink pad and aqua painter, and a Pool Party marker.

 

I ran a 4" x 4" piece of Pool Party card stock through the Square Lattice embossing folder, added a 2" x 5" piece of Sweet Sorbet dsp, and then the punched 2-1/2" circle with the bunny. The "happy easter" sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.

Make a Point with a shoe card

 

I've got 10- and 20-card classes this week, and here's one of the cards I prepped. It uses the Occasions Catalog hostess set Making a Point. I have to say, when I colored the shoe, I thought I did a pretty good job. But when it's zoomed in, I see my coloring leaves a lot to be desired! lol

 

I started with a Pistachio Pudding card, added a 2"x 5-1/4" piece of Sweet Sorbet dsp (a Sale-a-Bration freebie when you order $50+) and stamped the shoe on a 2-1/2" Whisper White circle in Jet Black StazOn. There are a few rhinestones and Dazzling Diamonds glitter added for a bit of bling.

 

Sale-a-Bration ends March 31, so if you're looking for freebies from the SAB Mini, you need to act soon!

For the award, I'm asked to answer 11 questions and then select 11 of my favorite blogs.
 

1. What made you decide to start crafting?

    I've always created things, but started stamping when I was pregnant with my second child. By trade, I was a journalist, and with one toddler and a baby on the way, I needed a creative outlet I could do 5-10 minutes at a time.

 

2. Where is your #1 place to purchase crafty supplies?

     Stampin' Up!, because I always get a discount and earn free stuff.

 

3. Do you prefer rubber/clear stamping or digi stamping?

     I like rubberstamps mounted on wood for my clubs and classes I teach, though I own many clear-mount sets.

 

4. How long have you been a paper crafter?

     I started 13 years ago, as far as paper crafting on a regular basis.

 

5. How many design teams are you on?

     None, currently, though I've been a guest designer for a couple in the past year.

 

6. What's your favorite holiday?

     Halloween! I love the costumes, the fun and the treats. 

 

7. What would you say your crafting "style" is? CAS? Layers?

     Clean and simple.

 

8. What's your favorite source for crafty ideas? Magazines? Online sources?

     Pinterest, primarily.

 

9. What do you use for coloring your images?

An aqua painter or blender pen with ink pads.

 

10. What size cards do you typically make?

     4-1/4" x 5-1/2"

 

11. Are you a scrapbooker, stamper or both?

     I mainly create cards, but also do party favors and traditional scrapbooking.
