Flowering Petite Petals card with punch

I'm a big fan of stamp sets with coordinating punches. It makes putting a card together so much faster! Above, I used the Petite Petals stamp set - stamping this flower in Real Red - before punching them with the Petite Petals Punch.

This Whisper White card was run through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fans embossing folder. I added a tag made with Chocolate Chip card stock and the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, and a sentiment from Remembering Your Birthday, punched with the Modern Label Punch. The leaves were made using the Little Leaves Sizzlits (page 188 of the annual catalog - item 114511, $5.50).

It's the last day of winter. The sun is shining and it's about 44 degrees right now, but I'll take it. At least it's not raining - again! I hope you enjoy your day.

Baby We've Grown Easter card

I love this bunny in the Baby, We've Grown stamp set in the Occasions Catalog. Above, I colored him with a Sahara Sand ink pad and aqua painter, and a Pool Party marker.

I ran a 4" x 4" piece of Pool Party card stock through the Square Lattice embossing folder, added a 2" x 5" piece of Sweet Sorbet dsp, and then the punched 2-1/2" circle with the bunny. The "happy easter" sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.

I hope you're off to a fantastic start to your week!

Make a Point with a shoe card

I've got 10- and 20-card classes this week, and here's one of the cards I prepped. It uses the Occasions Catalog hostess set Making a Point. I have to say, when I colored the shoe, I thought I did a pretty good job. But when it's zoomed in, I see my coloring leaves a lot to be desired! lol

I started with a Pistachio Pudding card, added a 2"x 5-1/4" piece of Sweet Sorbet dsp (a Sale-a-Bration freebie when you order $50+) and stamped the shoe on a 2-1/2" Whisper White circle in Jet Black StazOn. There are a few rhinestones and Dazzling Diamonds glitter added for a bit of bling.

Sale-a-Bration ends March 31, so if you're looking for freebies from the SAB Mini, you need to act soon!

Oh Happy Day with Starburst Sayings

I love the bright colors in the Retro Fresh designer series paper pack - especially with Starburst Sayings stamp set. It's a little jarring to look at this card and then out the window. We're getting a bit of snow and rain... and I was ready for spring!

This is a Coastal Cabana card with a Decorative Dots-embossed Tangerine Tango layer. Then there's a strip of So Saffron (the colors come right off the back of the paper package) with a strip of Retro Fresh on top. I stamped oh, HAPPY DAY in Coastal Cabana ink on Very Vanilla card stock, die cut it with a Starburst framelit and added a vintage button with baker's twine. I CASE'd this card from Annie Lee.

Sweet Sorbet Easter bunny

When I saw this bunny in the Occasions Catalog stamp set Baby, We've Grown, I thought it'd be perfect for an Easter card.

This Crisp Cantaloupe card has a 2-inch banner of Sweet Sorbet (this is my favorite pattern in the package!). I used the 2-1/2" circle punch for the bunny layer, and a sentiment from Delightful Dozen.
It's been a busy week with a 10-card class yesterday and a card club today. I am also working on a scrapbook for my Lions Club for the year!
As always, if you'd like to place an order, I'd love for you to do it through my Online Store at http://therubberroom.stampinup.net. Using tasty sorbet paper on a card

My friend and downline, Barb, created this pretty card with the Sweet Sorbet designer paper (a Sale-a-Bration item you may choose for FREE when you place a $50 order) and Yippee-Skippee! stamp set for her club this month. Do you see the Occasions Catalog items? Yep, you're right, if you guessed the Petite Petals stamp set and coordinating Petite Petals Punch (page 33). These are available in a bundle that will save you 15 percent over buying them separately.

I can't believe it's the last day of January! I hope you enjoy your Friday. My kids will - they have the day off since their teachers are working on grading. It's also the last day to place an Online Order with this hostess code - 9M2ZB9VQ - to be entered into my February 1 drawing for Stampin' Up! free product! Thanks.

Sharing some bright yellow flowers from Flower Shop

When you buy the Flower Shop stamp set, which offers the same shape and size of flower in six different patterns, you can buy the coordinating Pansy Punch and make flowers till your hands ache. Of course, it helps if you line them up correctly - ha ha ha. Not like mine.

For this Daffodil Delight card, I used the Scallops embossing folder in the Occasions Catalog, as well as one of my favorite items - the Angled Tag Topper Punch (item 133323, $22.95). This card could be used for everything from Get Well and Thinking of You to a sympathy or birthday card - especially when you have the Teeny, Tiny Wishes stamp set, which is ALL greetings.

I'll be happy to get stamping after working on corporate taxes for a couple of days and meeting with our accountants. My right brain needs some one-on-one time while my left brain relaxes. Ahhhh... time to get inky.

Be sure to come back tomorrow. I'll have another card for the 'Tis the Season challenge blog! Please join us... you've got a couple of weeks to create something and add it to the challenge.

I freakin' love Gumball Green!

With 10 different card designs needed for my 20-card class yesterday, I turned to my Yippee-Skippee! stamp set for this fun sentiment. The ladies loved it!

The Gumball Green card base was run through the Decorative Dots embossing folder (a Sale-a-Bration freebie when you order $50 starting Wednesday - and I have an order going in that day!). Then I added a 3" x 4" piece of Watercolor Wonder designer paper that's in the Occasions Catalog. A 5" strip of stitched Gumball Green ribbon finishes the card. Simple and sweet and dotty! Love it!

I love BIG greetings!

This is my second post today, so be sure to check out the other one after reading this! I have several cards and finally got a chance to take photos of them, so I'll be posting them each day this week.

I LOVE the huge birthday greeting in Another Great Year stamp set in the Occasions Catalog. I chose to simply stamp it in Tempting Turquoise ink and embellish with rhinestones. I used the Banner Punch (2014 Sale-a-Bration item - you can get it starting Jan. 28) and Silver Foil paper, adding more rhinestones there. Another new item - the Arrows embossing folder, which I felt mimicked the little banners.

Some of you may know I share a vendor booth at a local antique store with my niece. We've been having lots of fun with it. I try to get holiday items in as they roll around - so I've been working on Valentine's Day. I'd found this heart tin last week and decided tonight to make some banana-chocolate chip muffins.

I think they're so adorable! I washed the pan and it'll go in our Booth 6 along with other goodies this week. If you want to check us out (and "LIKE" our page) please visit http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. Thanks!

See Ya Later meets Retro Fresh for sketch challenge

I've been enjoying an absolutely wonderful day - first with my American Ink team members at my studio, then at home with my family watching the Seattle Seahawks football team win at home. I'm sharing the card I made for my swap this morning. This is a sneak peek at a stamp set called See Ya Later, which you may earn for FREE with a $50+ order during our Sale-a-Bration Event, which starts January 28.

Doesn't that paper just pop? It's called Retro Fresh designer paper and it's available in the Occasions Catalog on page 19 (item 132993, $10.95). I thought this pattern looked like little rainbows.

I used the sketch challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary. You have until January 15 to participate (9 a.m. PST), and need to use only Stampin' Up! products.

Did you notice the little banner to the left of the Chalk Talk framelit? It's the new Banner Punch (another SAB freebie with a $50 purchase). Super cute!

Join the new Occasions Catalog party!

What a beautiful day! I'm so happy my blogging friend Debbie is hosting this Occasions Catalog party. It's been awhile since I've participated in much of anything. Just about everything on this card is new! The sentiment is from the Love You More stamp set (part of the Whole Lotta Love promotion).

I started with a Smoky Slate card and ran the front through the new Scalloped folder. Then I stamped the Hardwood stamp in Crushed Curry ink and layered it on the same color card stock. Of course I had to add a little bling - a row of gold sequins. And did you notice that yummy flower? It's the new Scallop Flower Die! Just roll it, add adhesive (I only added a dimensional on the bottom to hold it together, and to hold it to the card).

Finally, The Tag. What can I say? I almost pee'd my pants when I saw the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (and the other one) in this catalog! Wow. Cut a 2" strip of paper and push it into the punch and that's it! LOVE IT!!! Of course, both the flower and the tag were cut from Watercolor Wonder dsp. Gorgeous colors. To finish off this card, I added a few new metal buttons to the tag.

Now it's your turn to make something using an Occasions Catalog item. You've got all month to join the party!
