Pedaling Past card...

Check out what's coming May 1!

This card uses the Pedaling Past stamp set in the Summer Mini Catalog, along with Travel Journal designer series paper.

The card itself is Only Orange card stock, with a white library clip around the top three layers, which are stuck on with dimensionals.

I colored the bike using watercolor crayons and an aqua painter.

Flower Fancy Sweet Pea card...

All three of this month's club cards were inspired by other demonstrators. You don't have to be a creative genius to enjoy stamping - copying and sharing is the name of the game!

This Whisper White card features a couple patterns of paper from the Sweet Pea pad in the Occasions Mini, so it's only available till next week.

We used the Eyelet Border Punch on the top layer, and used a saying from the Trendy Trees stamp set (20% off thru April 30) inked in Tempting Turquoise for the bottom Barely Banana layer.

The main flower image comes from Flower Fancy (20% off thru April 30 also). We stamped it in Tempting Turqoise on Barely Banana card stock, cut it out and added punched Pumpkin Pie and Barely Banana flowers (Boho Blossom Punch) with a fire circle rhinestone holding them all together. The flower was adhered with dimensionals over the stamped and cut-out leaves.

I'm leaving for the Stampin' Up! cruise to the Southern Caribbean tonight. If you'd like to order anything from the Occasions Mini, or one of the four, 2-step stamp sets on sale for 20% off, or anything from the Clearance Rack, visit my website at http://TheRubberRoom.stampinup.net to view all of these and to place your order by 10 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2010.

Thanks!

Flower Fancy rub-on card...

This was another club card this month. It's a Whisper White card with a layer of Almost Amethyst (retiring!) on top.

We stamped a few flowers and leaves from Flower Fancy (20% off thru April 30) on Confetti White card stock in Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery and So Saffron inks, added an Eyelet Border Punched strip of Tea Party designer paper and a knot of Certainly Celery satin ribbon.

Everybody chose a brown rub-on from the Lovely Flowers Bundle (Level 3 hostess bundle) to add to the ribbon using their bone folders.

Awash with Flowers mom card...

If you're up for a new stamp set, Awash with Flowers may be up your alley! It's a 2-step, 18-stamp set that will be in the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog July 1.

Awash with Flowers is free to hostesses with $350 workshops (congrats to all my hostesses this month!), or you may purchase it for $27.95 (clear mount) or $39.95 (wood mount).

My clubs made this Bermuda Bay card with a strip of Bermuda Bay patterns paper that's been punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch (also in the upcoming catalog).

They stamped the outside of the flower in Rich Razzleberry, then stamped off once on their grid placemat for the inside stamp for a lighter shade of the same color. The stem was stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.

We added a half pearl with a Mini Glue Dot, then tied a knot of Bermuda Bay polka-dot grosgrain ribbon around that layer and the Rich Razzleberry one behind it.

The "wonderful mother" sentiment is from Well Scripted, which will no longer be available after April 30. It was punched with the Wide Oval Punch and adhered with dimensionals.

Heather's With All My Heart card...

If you have 12" x 12" card stock, it's fun to cut it into 6" squares for cards. It's a perfect size in which to include money or a check.

Heather W. joined our American Ink group meeting this month and shared this great make & take. We always welcome "stray" demos!

This is a Chocolate Chip card with a 3" square piece of designer paper on top, a banner with the sentiment, then a piece of So Saffron card stock that's been Scallop Border punched on both sides.

The largest image from the With All My Heart stamp set was stamped in Rose Red then punched with the Extra Large Fancy Flower punch (available in the Occasions Mini till April 30). It's adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals, as is the Certainly Celery button.

Brandy's Great Friend make & take card...

Brandy used a variety of purple shades for her make & take, which used the Great Friend stamp set.

We sponged around the top Whisper White layer, which had So Saffron behind it.

The designer paper is from the Shades of Spring pack in the Occcasions Mini.

For embellishments, we used a few silver brads and a half pearl from a Pretties Kit.

Spring Song friendship card...

Hazel made this Spring Song card for her swap. It uses Sage Shadow card stock (to retire with this catalog), and some designer paper that's been punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

She also used the oval scallop punch, and added glitter to the hummingbird's chest.

Flower Fancy thank-you card...

New American Ink demo Barbara stamped this Flower Fancy card for a recent swap (you can save more than $7 on this set thru April 30).

What makes the card unique is that the sentiment (from Thank You Kindly) is stamped in Jet Black StazOn on acetate and held onto the front of the card with those silver brads.

The Eyelet Border Punch was used on the Old Olive layer, and the other color on this card is Rich Razzleberry, which will carryover to the new catalog in July.

Very Vintage jumbo wheel card...

Swapping is a fun part of our American Ink get-togethers. This Apricot Appeal card was created by Michelle.

She used the Very Vintage jumbo wheel (Occasions Mini), as well the the Pinking Hearts Border Punch.

The sentiment is from an upcoming Summer Mini stamp set. You won't want to miss this!

Awash with Flowers Top Note card...

I love the fresh look of these Awash with Flowers stamps.

From now through April 30, you can earn this stamp set FREE with a $350 order/workshop, or purchase the wood-mount set for $39.95 or the clear-mount set for $27.95.

This is a Ballet Blue card with a layer of Tall Tales designer paper and a Whisper White Top Note (cut with that die from the Big Shot) that's been sponged with Real Red ink.

I absolutely love the Real Red satin ribbon. It's so soft.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. It was punched with the Modern Label punch, sponged, a couple of red brads added and adhered with dimensionals.

I CASE'd this idea from Lisa Marsh.

Awash with Flowers sponged happiness...

Awash with Flowers has 18 stamps in the set! It's huge. It's a set that will be in the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog and it's one you can purchase now! The wood-mounted set is $39.95, while the clear-mounted set is $27.95.

There is another way to earn this set FREE - how? With a $350 order/purchase. This is in addition to the regular hostess benefits!

I CASE'd this idea from Jan Tink's blog here. I do prefer hers more just because she used the bigger stamps, but since I was doing two cards with the same stamp set for a class, I used the smaller stamps here.

I stamped the flowers in Basic Gray, then burnished (basically rubbing an inked sponge dauber in a circular motion) the images, as well as the space inbetween them. The sentiment is from Heart from the Heart.

I used Mellow Moss, More Mustard and Perfect Plum card stocks, as well as the horizonal slot punch for the white taffeta ribbon knot.

Folk Flowers stencil birthday card...

After seeing a card like this on Mary Brown's blog, I had to make one myself!
This is a Regal Rose card with a layer of Mellow Moss on top. I placed the Folk Flowers stencil over a piece of Whisper White card stock and sponged Classic Rose Red ink (for depth), then Classic Regal Rose ink to fill in all of the areas.
I used rhinestones from the Eggcellent Eggs Kit (now sold out) to highlight the sentiment as well as the flowers.
A knot of 5/8" Regal Rose grosgrain is under the saying, which was punched with the large oval and layered on the oval scallop, then adhered with dimensionals.

Inspired by Nature birthday card...

Inspired by Nature is one of my favorite stamp sets in the catalog right now. It looks gorgeous no matter which colors you choose.

This is a Whisper White card with a strip of Bashful Blue card stock that's been run through the Finial Press embossing folder for the Big Shot. It has a strip of Certainly Celery under the right side that's been punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

A knot of white organza wraps around the two layers.

I used Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery markers on the rubber for the flowers and the greeting (which is from Well Scripted in the Occasions Mini).

All of the top three layers have the top left and bottom right corners punched with the corner rounder punch.

I CASE'd this card from Julie Buhler.

Bunny Basket & Bloom...

Kim's customers got to make this punched bunny, which is attached with dimensionals to a Creamy Caramel Basket die for the Big Shot.

The 1/2-inch circle punch was used for the eyes and under the heart-punched nose.

The small and large oval punches, along with the oval scallop punch, were all used for inside the wide oval punched ears.

The bottom photo shows there are malted milk balls in a cello bag tied shut with a bow of satin Bashful Blue ribbon.

Messages for Mom, from Kim...

With Easter behind us, it's time to think about honoring Mom on Mother's Day. It'll be here before we know it!

Kim created this card using the Messages for Mom stamp set, Razzleberry Lemonade designer paper, Crushed Curry card stock and ribbon, and Rich Razzleberry ink and card stock.

The circle fire rhinestone highlights the floral spray.

Happy Easter!

Sherry's So Saffron card uses Shades of Spring designer paper, an oval cut with the Big Shot and run through the Polka Dot embossing folder before being sponged for dimension, and the Chocolate Bunny stamp.

The sentiment, from the Abundant Hope stamp set, was punched using the Modern Label punch, then layered on other colors of punched Modern Labels. Punches were also used on the flowers and stemps.

Other embellishments include Pretty in Pink Taffeta ribbon and an ice circle rhinestone brad.

Easter Blessings to you and your family!

Frankie's punched swap...

Frankie brought this swap to our last American Ink gathering. It uses an Old Olive card stock base, with some Whisper White, a strip of Old Olive with linen thread wrapped around it three times, and a piece from the Sweet Pea pad.

The sentiment is from Whimsical Words. Frankie used the Circles die for the Big Shot with Rich Razzleberry and Pretty in Pink card stocks, then punched the flowers from the same colors, using two petals from the 5-Petal Punch as leaves.

Soft Subtles brads are the final embellishments on the card.

Cheryl's Priceless birthday card...

Cheryl created a fun birthday card for her American Ink swap using the Priceless stamp set.

The base is Whisper White card stock, with strips of Certainly Celery card stock. The bottom strip was scallop edge punched, while the top strip - on the part that flips up - was run through the Polka Dot embossing folder.

Notice the Scallop Trim Border punched around the top three edges of the part that flips up to reveal "You raise kindness to an art."

The ink is Old Olive and Pretty in Pink, with glitter.

Barb's Picture This card swap...

Barb brought this Rich Razzleberry card front swap last month.

It uses a Scallop Circle punch out of designer paper, with a fleurette (from Fleurettes II) that's been inked around the edges with Rich Razzleberry and a circle ice rhinestone in the center.

The sentiment is from the Level 1 hostess set Picture This, with a piece of Cottage Wall designer paper that's been punched using the Eyelet Border Punch.

Michelle's American Ink swaps...

Michelle brought two swaps to our downline gathering. The first uses Crushed Curry textured card stock and satin ribbon. It features the single Fine Flourish stamp (from the Occasions Mini) with a sentiment from the Level 3 hostess set Kind & Caring Thoughts.

The second swap uses the Top Note die and Polka Dot embossing folder for the Big Shot, as well as the Big Flower punch.

A flower from Petal Pizzazz was stamped before being punched out.
