Sharing sunshine and a Sneak Peek of the 2013-2014 annual SU! catalog

Sunshine, happiness, smiles... they all work within this sentiment from Feel Goods. To emphasize the sunshine, I used stitched Daffodil Delight ribbon on a Melon Mambo button. We've had terrific sunshine here today - temps reached more than 80 degrees. We played miniature golf with my niece and her family, and enjoyed a wonderful dinner after that. A perfect Saturday filled with a little work, lots of play, family time and the great outdoors.

There are a couple of Sneak Peeks from the 2013-2014 annual catalog on this card - the hummingbird is from a new background-sized stamp called Wildflower Meadow, and the designer paper is from a new pack called Gingham Garden. Did you know that Stampin' Up! started listing the colors in the designer paper packs with the Spring Catalog? It's wonderful! Turn the package over and you'll see the colors listed right under the paper name.

Here's another shot of the card. I have a big, beautiful shabby-chic green chalkboard in my entryway where I've been writing the quote of the day. I used this sentiment today. My kids and hubby love reading the variety of sayings. They're all positive, pick-me-ups and great reminders of how blessed we are.

Happy Stampin'!

Laughter is the shortest distance

I love clean and simple cards. I'm just drawn to them! This is a card using the Feel Goods stamp set in the Spring Catalog, along with a couple of stamps from Summer Silhouettes. I CASE'd it from fellow demo Jill Hilliard. She used a white, stamped layer on a white notecard. My card is 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" and I added the Certainly Celery layer. The ink colors are: Midnight Muse, Rich Razzleberry, and Certainly Celery. You may use a circle punch on the corners to get this look.

I was thinking the Spring Catalog ended this month, but you'll actually be able to order from it till the end of May! So that's good news. It gives me one more month to play with all of the good stuff in there. If you'd like to order any of it, please visit my Online Store at http://therubberroom.stampinup.net. Thanks!
