Friends are Blessings from Heaven

Look at this close-up of a vintage button for a Sneak Peek of what's coming up in the 2013-2014 annual SU! catalog. My tip: When you don't have matching ribbon, or skinny enough ribbon, use your paper trimmer to cut a skinny strip to thread the button.

I made this birthday card for my friend, Sue, using three different Very Vintage Designer button designs (new catalog item!) on Blossom-punched flowers. Sue loves the color purple. In addition to the card, I brought her a huge bunch of lilacs from my yard, and lunch from a favorite Chinese restaurant. We had a really nice visit this afternoon, and left each other with plans to have lunch again next month for my birthday.

I had International Bazaar dsp on my desk from making all of the butterfly treats for the teachers earlier this morning (see the post below), so I grabbed this pattern for the flowers, backing the middle one with a punched Rich Razzleberry flower. For the sentiment - from the Blessings from Heaven stamp set - I used the Decorative Label Punch first, then a new punch called Artisan Label punch for the sides.

Stamps: Blessings from Heaven;
Ink: Rich Razzleberry pad;
Paper: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink and Rich Razzleberry card stocks, International Bazaar dsp;
Accessories: Delicate Designs folder, Big Shot, crochet trim, Blossom punch, vVery Vintage Designer Buttons, dimensionals, Decorative Label punch, Artisan Label punch.

Elementary Elegance to Tea Shoppe quick cards

Here are three more quick and easy cards I've used for my 10-card classes recently. The one above uses Sale-a-Bration free items Elementary Elegance stamp set and Everyday Enchantment dsp and ribbon, along with the Curly Label and 1" circle punches. I CASE'd and flipped a card from Thoughts That Stick.

This sympathy card uses Mocha Morning Specialty dsp, Fresh Vintage (free SAB set), Blessings from Heaven, and the Scallop Trim Border Punch with a Basic Black ink pad. I CASE'd a card from Jill's Card Creations.

This Tea Shoppe card uses River Rock and Not Quite Navy colors. I used the 3" Circle die for the Big Shot for the circle behind the tea cup. There's also Paisley Petals dsp on there, with a Neutrals Button with Whisper White Baker's Twine.

I hope you have a great day! I think I'm going out and about today.
