Sprinkles of Life tree top

 

Sprinkles of Life gives you more than ice cream scoops and clouds - you get tree tops too!

 

This was a quick and easy card for my 20-card class. The tree top and trunk stamps were inked in Early Espresso on Soft Sky card stock and cut into a banner with some Soft Sky twine around that layer and a Wisteria Wonder banner that was embossed with the Decorative Dots folder. The Tree Builder Punch fits hand-in-hand with the Sprinkles of Life stamp set - punching out a tree trunk/limb and the cloud shape.

You've Got This

 

Everyone loves a beautiful flower. In the new catalog, Stampin' Up! has come up with this one in the You've Got This stamp set.

 

 

This is a Whisper White card with a 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White layer that's been stamped with Pool Party and black ink. Then Rich Razzleberry, Wild Wasabi and Early Espresso markers were used to color the flower. The banner is hand-cut and popped up with dimensionals after being stamped with a sentiment from the same stamp set. The image is equally beautiful not colored in.

Sprinkles of Life silver lining

 

Stampin' Up! hit the ball out of the park with this year's Sprinkles of Life stamp set that benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities. For every Sprinkles of Life stamp set sold, SU! donates $3. It adds up fast!

 

I started with a Whisper White card and added a layer of Soft Sky card stock. Two of the clouds and all of the rain drops were stamped directly on the Soft Sky layer. The third was stamped on a scrap and cut out, then adhered with dimensionals. I cut a 3/4" strip of Soft Sky card stock into a banner for the sentiment and added a couple of rhinestones. This was a design at my last 20-card class. I had a silver painty marker and a white gel pen that my customers could use to outline the clouds for the "silver lining." This one shows the white gel pen.

 

Just so you know, there's a coordinating Tree Builder Punch so you can punch out the clouds (which are also ice cream scoops, among other things), so you may want to buy that with the set.

Ordinary people do extraordinary things every day. Sometimes I have a card on hand that actually gets to that kind of person in a timely manner. Ha!

 

One of my club members earned her associate's degree from our local community college recently, and I am so proud of her. As a 30-something mom of two, a military wife who's moved many times and has had to start and stop her education a few times, she's endured a lot physically and mentally and yet has pursued her dream of a degree and achieved it.

 

This card is a CASE from http://lovinglifeslittleblessings.com. I used a Deco Label Framelit for the Guy Greetings sentiment and hat stamps (photopolymer, so I adhered both stamps to an acrylic block and stamped once). It's a Crumb Cake card with Typeset designer paper and a 1" x 5-1/2" strip of Basic Black card stock.

Lego birthday card

 

I have a fondness for Legos, as did my boy when he was younger. I still have buckets full of them.

The best thing about this Boys Will Be Boys birthday card is it uses one ink - Garden Green - and just a circle of Very Vanilla card stock. The circles are sponged and adhered to the card front with dimensionals. Simple and cute. The sentiment is from Teeny, Tiny Wishes.

 

I love the random critters we get in our backyard. Even though our dog is out there quite a bit, we have squirrels, opposums (a baby walked through last night), morning doves and a wide range of other birds. My hubby and kids built this bird feeder. The squirrels launch themselves from the fence or poplar trees about 4-5 feet away. This morning, a squirrel popped his head out of a hole that was widened by other squirrels. Needless to say, no birds nest in there!

Calypso Tap Tap Tap

 

Doesn't it figure that it'd rain since I watered my plants outside yesterday evening? It's a cooler morning, which I enjoy. I've been stamping cards upstairs in my loft, which gets pretty toasty when we have weather in the 70s and 80s. Morning hours are best!

 

This is the kind of card you could use for many occasions, and is one from my most recent 20-card class.

 

I started with a Calypso Coral card and added a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White card stock. The images were stamped in black and Calypso Coral ink, then I added a few rhinestones for bling. The ribbon is retired. I have three big containers of ribbon that I'm going to clip away at for future classes. I CASE'd the design from Tara Bourgoin at cantstamptherain.blogspot.com, though her card was another color and with a vertical layout.

 

 

I've spent time the past couple of days picking salmonberries. It's the first year doing so. As you can see, they come in a variety of colors - sometimes on the same bush! They resemble a raspberry, but don't taste the same.

 

I only picked a cup of salmonberries the first day, so I added a few cups of raspberries to make jam. It's delicious! I made tags for the small jars, which will be gifts for friends and family. Then the other day, I picked more berries. I got enough that I only added a cup of raspberries. Equally delish! I guess I'll pick salmonberries more frequently. It's no wonder bears love 'em.

Guy Greetings: You're My Anchor

 

Since it's June, and Father's Day is next weekend, I had a couple of man card designs for my 20-card stampers last weekend. This one uses a photopolymer stamp set called Guy Greetings. I got a monkey on my back - Zoo Babies

 

I busted out the monkey and elephant from my Zoo Babies stamp set, which I haven't used for some time, for my 20-card class last weekend. That's what happens when I rearrange my stamp area - I "discover" stamps I've neglected for awhile.

 

I used Soft Suede and Wisteria Wonder ink pads and card stocks, along with a banner cut from Elegant Eggplant, and a retired designer brad (another discovery!). The birthday sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set.
