Sprinkles of Life cupcake

 

Sparkly sprinkles really make a cupcake. Best of all, they're easy to make and zero calories! I used a 2-way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

I've used a design similar to this before - a few circles using designer paper and card stock. I think it was for a sympathy card. I like it.

This Wisteria Wonder card uses a bit of the old (designer paper, sentiment, and Calypso Coral ribbon) and new (Sprinkles of Life stamp set, Elegant Dots embossing folder). The Sweet Shop paper is festive by itself. I've got loads of older dsp hanging around and so you'll be seeing it here and there. The main colors are Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder and Calypso Coral, with a little Island Indigo thrown in.

So I've been decluttering my home and creating little vignettes here and there. It makes me happy. I use stuff I like (vintage/antique stuff primarily). Along the way, I fill bags with donations that I load up and drop off at least once a week.

My friend and downline, Teresa, created this adorable cupcake card for everyone to make at the Demo Day I hosted Sunday. This is the Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set called Sprinkles of Life.

 

Teresa used the new In Colors for her make & take. She had the new green lace ribbon, but I'd put the layers together before adding the ribbon so you'll have to pretend. The card is Watermelon Wonder. I like how the colors of sprinkles coordinate perfectly with the designer paper. The apple from the Tree Builder Punch, which is the one that works well with this stamp set, makes a great cherry for the cupcake! We used a green marker to ink up the stem.

Sprinkles of Life gives you more than ice cream scoops and clouds - you get tree tops too!

 

This was a quick and easy card for my 20-card class. The tree top and trunk stamps were inked in Early Espresso on Soft Sky card stock and cut into a banner with some Soft Sky twine around that layer and a Wisteria Wonder banner that was embossed with the Decorative Dots folder. The Tree Builder Punch fits hand-in-hand with the Sprinkles of Life stamp set - punching out a tree trunk/limb and the cloud shape.

I started with a Whisper White card and added a layer of Soft Sky card stock. Two of the clouds and all of the rain drops were stamped directly on the Soft Sky layer. The third was stamped on a scrap and cut out, then adhered with dimensionals. I cut a 3/4" strip of Soft Sky card stock into a banner for the sentiment and added a couple of rhinestones. This was a design at my last 20-card class. I had a silver painty marker and a white gel pen that my customers could use to outline the clouds for the "silver lining." This one shows the white gel pen.

 

Just so you know, there's a coordinating Tree Builder Punch so you can punch out the clouds (which are also ice cream scoops, among other things), so you may want to buy that with the set.
