Bringing in November with Christmas cards

 

I love the images in the Winter Memories stamp set in the Holiday Catalog. They're detailed enough you can color them in, or just add spots of color as I did on the card above. The strip of designer paper is from the Candlelight Christmas Specialty pack. These are a few designs from a recent 10-card class.

 

 

This Gumball Green card uses Chock Full of Cheer stamps with Be of Good Cheer dsp.

 

 

This Crumb Cake card has a 2-inch piece of Cherry Cobbler Core'dinations Card Stock, a Night of Navy layer from the Apothecary Accents Framelits and the little bird from the Four Seasons hostess set. I CASE'd this one from Diana Gibbs.

 



 

And back to Winter Memories! The sentiment and image are from that stamp set. This is a Bashful Blue with Marina Mist banner, touches of Rose Red and Bashful Blue on the image and a Label Framelit shape.

 

Though I have plenty to do in the next few days, I spent most of a rainy yesterday baking apple muffins and apple crisps for neighbors. The kids only had a half day of school, and they took the goodies door to door with Halloween cards. It was a nice way to spend a day.

Four Seasons Floral District window card

I love the fat little birds in the hostess set Four Seasons. I used a Tangerine Tango marker to ink up the bird, then a Rich Razzleberry marker for the branch and surrounding area before punching it out with a 1" circle punch. It's adhered to the entire stamped image (in Rose Red) with dimensionals after the larger image was punched out with our largest scallop circle punch.

I CASE'd this card from Diane Vander Galien, who submitted something similar for the A La Card Monkey Challenge #110. Mine uses word stamps from another hostess set called Wacky Wishes, as well as Floral District dsp and stitched white grosgrain. I used this card at my 4-card class on Wednesday.

Please note: Five ink colors have undergone formula changes to improve functionality and color stability with the new firm foam pads. These colors are

All five colors of the reformulated inks have been fully tested and approved. While using the new ink formula in the old Stampin’ Pads is fine, we do not recommend using the old ink formula for these five colors in the new firm foam pads. Any refills purchased after April 30, 2012, will contain the new formulated ink.

Four Seasons show the Sky's the Limit for Monkey Challenge #110

I'm happy I had the opportunity to ink up this brand new hostess set coming out June 1 in the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalog called Four Seasons. The images spoke to me for this week's A La Card Monkey Challenge #110: Sky's the Limit + Sketch. Well, that, and they fit inside our punches. I love any stamp that fits inside a punch! Above, you can see the butterfly stamp in the set, as well as a 1" circle of Comfort Cafe dsp.

There are four big (and four little) stamps in the Four Seasons stamp set. Each one represents a season. I used the Midnight Muse (new In Color!) ink pad, heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, then added a bit of color with Summer Starfruit (another new In Color) and Baja Breeze markers. I used a Soft Suede marker on the nest, and added a tiny pearl to the bird's eye.

Here's a look at the whole card. I ran the Very Vanilla card front through the Elegant Lines embossing folder, and added dimensionals under the top elements.

The sentiment was stamped in Cajun Craze and I made a banner of it on a polka-dot embossed Midnight Muse card stock strip. I followed the sketch below, cutting four pieces of Comfort Cafe dsp for the bottom of the card front.]
