Fresh Prints Six-Sided Sampler

 

Whisper White, Coastal Cabana and Real Red really POP together! They are three of the four colors (the fourth is Crumb Cake) that make up the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (item 132996, $6.95). There's a little hiccup in the "h" of the hello. I'm not sure if it came that way or I knicked the rubber when trimming my stamps. :-(



 

 

I first embossed the front of the card with the Honeycomb folder, added a strip of Crumb Cake, and a few Hexagon punched pieces. I added a bow of 1/8" Whisper White taffeta with a mini glue dot and finished the card with a sentiment from Six-Sided Sampler. I punched it out with the Small Oval Punch (item 120908, $12.95).

 

I'm looking forward to Saturday's 20-card class. It's full - mostly with new people!

Duck, duck, GOOSE!

 

I love the earthy tones of Soft Sky and Crumb Cake together in this card. I could see using this for Thinking of You, a birthday card, and even a sympathy card.

 



 

I stamped this Canada Goose from Wetlands in Early Espresso ink, and punched it out using the 2-1/2" circle punch. I added a little Soft Sky foliage too. When you need a lot of cards fast, a design like this will make your life that much easier!

I think the Love You More stamp set has become my go-to favorite for valentines and just cards filled with love for my family and friends. Who can beat that sentiment? I love it.

 

I started with a Whisper White card and added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Watercolor Wonder designer paper. Another Occasions Catalog item used on this card is the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch  (item 133324, $22.95). Then some chevron ribbon and Cherry Cobbler-Whisper White Baker's Twine finish the tag (oh, and the little Real Red heart is from the Owl Builder Punch). I used Island Indigo and Real Red markers for the main image.

I love BIG greetings!

 

This is my second post today, so be sure to check out the other one after reading this! I have several cards and finally got a chance to take photos of them, so I'll be posting them each day this week.

 

I LOVE the huge birthday greeting in Another Great Year stamp set in the Occasions Catalog. I chose to simply stamp it in Tempting Turquoise ink and embellish with rhinestones. I used the Banner Punch (2014 Sale-a-Bration item - you can get it starting Jan. 28) and Silver Foil paper, adding more rhinestones there. Another new item - the Arrows embossing folder, which I felt mimicked the little banners.

 

 

Some of you may know I share a vendor booth at a local antique store with my niece. We've been having lots of fun with it. I try to get holiday items in as they roll around - so I've been working on Valentine's Day. I'd found this heart tin last week and decided tonight to make some banana-chocolate chip muffins.

American Ink swaps late but not lost!

 

Well, I'm just now catching up by taking photos of cards from my last American Ink team meeting. The top card was a make and take provided by Kim. She used two upcoming (next week!) Sale-a-Bration items - the banner punch and the stamp set See Ya Later.

 

Frankie used the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack - another SAB item - on this card. That's a stamped cork flower! Go figure. The accessory pack comes with 30 yards of twine (10 yards each of Crisp Cantelope, Pool Party, and Summer Starfruit). Frankie "fringed" the Pool Party twine.

 

Barb gave us a manly birthday make and take, I love sanding the Core'dinations Cardstock - especially with this Woodgrain embossing folder.

'Tis the Season for my Christmas Deer

 

My friend, Holly, invited me to be a Guest Designer at her 'Tis the Season Challenge blog. I love challenges! And this one keeps Christmas alive 365 days of the year. This time around it's an Inspiration Challenge. You can see the photo below and create where it takes you - wreath, deer, wood, whatever you like!

 

Here are the rules:

1. Your project must be a new Christmas project created for this challenge.

2. Link back to 'Tis the Season or use the Challenge Graphic within your post.

3. Please don't combine more than 4 challenges (including this one!).

4. HAVE FUN! (Okay, I added that one.)

 You have 2 full weeks to take part in this challenge, so pull out a favorite Christmas stamp or two and get busy! Now here's my pretty literal interpretation of the photo for my card:

 

 

I first stamped the Hardwood stamp in Crumb Cake ink on Whisper White card stock, then stamped the Christmas Deer image in Cajun Craze and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I layered Cajun Craze card stock under the white layer and put both on a Marina Mist card. The color combo is from Stampin' Up!'s Color Coach. I love that thing! Anyway, I used a hostess set called Warmth & Wonder for the sentiment.

I've been enjoying an absolutely wonderful day - first with my American Ink team members at my studio, then at home with my family watching the Seattle Seahawks football team win at home. I'm sharing the card I made for my swap this morning. This is a sneak peek at a stamp set called See Ya Later, which you may earn for FREE with a $50+ order during our Sale-a-Bration Event, which starts January 28.

 

 

Doesn't that paper just pop? It's called Retro Fresh designer paper and it's available in the Occasions Catalog on page 19 (item 132993, $10.95). I thought this pattern looked like little rainbows.

What a beautiful day! I'm so happy my blogging friend Debbie is hosting this Occasions Catalog party. It's been awhile since I've participated in much of anything. Just about everything on this card is new! The sentiment is from the Love You More stamp set (part of the Whole Lotta Love promotion).

 

I started with a Smoky Slate card and ran the front through the new Scalloped folder. Then I stamped the Hardwood stamp in Crushed Curry ink and layered it on the same color card stock. Of course I had to add a little bling - a row of gold sequins. And did you notice that yummy flower? It's the new Scallop Flower Die! Just roll it, add adhesive (I only added a dimensional on the bottom to hold it together, and to hold it to the card).

 

 

Finally, The Tag. What can I say? I almost pee'd my pants when I saw the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (and the other one) in this catalog! Wow. Cut a 2" strip of paper and push it into the punch and that's it! LOVE IT!!! Of course, both the flower and the tag were cut from Watercolor Wonder dsp. Gorgeous colors. To finish off this card, I added a few new metal buttons to the tag.
