Endless Birthday Wishes
I prepped this cute and easy birthday card for a make and take at my most recent demonstrator gathering.
The sentiment and cake images are from the photopolymer stamp set Endless Birthday Wishes (only $13.95!). I stamped them using the Jet Black StazOn pad. Then I used a couple strips of the Moonlight paper stack (item 133701, $6.95) to add patterns and color to the card front. I colored the cake using an aqua painter and ink pads, then cut it out and popped it up with dimensionals. I CASE'd a card by fellow SU! demo Diana Gibbs. She used washi tape instead of paper strips.I hope you have a great day! I've been filling out thank-you and birthday cards, and getting ready for a garage sale (which means clearing things out of my kids' rooms!).

Map It Out and send it to a friend
This Map It Out stamp set caught my eye one day as I was looking over the latest Stampin' Up! news. It's easy to get lost with all of the specials the company is having during its 25th anniversary year! I stamped a heart where I live and where one of my club members lives.
| Map It Out Photopolymer Stamp Set | Item 134620 |
| Price: $13.95 | |
This is a great set - especially if you're in the military, as many people are in my area.
The Soho Subway designer paper pack has map paper in it, so I used a 2" strip of that with Whisper White/Cherry Cobbler baker's twine wrapped around it a few times before being knotted.Then I used Pretty Print embossing folder (item 132175, $7.95) to mimic a handwritten letter behind the map. The sentiment is from the Lacy & Lovely stamp set (wood mount 132025, $24.95; clear mount 122887, $17.95).
Here are some of the latest photopolymer stamp offerings:

There's been an overwhelmingly positive response to the new Envelope Punch Board. My Bombs Away birthday card using a sketch challenge
This is the first time I've used photopolymer stamps. These two images are from the Bombs Away stamp set. They were easy to ink up and stuck to my acrylic block like nobody's business.
My friend and downline, Frankie, celebrated her birthday yesterday with a Mother's Day class and a family dinner out. I thought I'd send her a special card, and used a sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. I just missed the cut-off!
Stamps: Bombs Away photopolymer stamps;Ink: Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz, and Melon Mambo;
Paper: Whisper White, Gingham Garden dsp (new 2013-2014 SU! annual catalog), Melon Mambo and Island Indigo card stock;
Accessories: Chevron embossing folder, Oval Collection Framelits, 1/8" Old Olive taffeta, Mini Glue Dots, dimensionals.

I've enjoyed roaming through thrift stores with Kim, picking up silver plated or pewter sugar and cream containers and this tray. I saw a similar idea on Pinterest and wanted to duplicate the look.
I love the way it looks! I put the tray and plants on the washstand just inside the front door. The succulents were only a couple bucks each at Home Depot. This whole display was less than $25! Here are other recent finds:
An industrial timer that works!
And a cool, working coffee grinder. It's on my kitchen windowsill. Looking out my kitchen window, here's what I get to look at (these are especially for my blogging friend, Donna, who takes AMAZING photos):
Bluebells
Lilacs (I can't wait to give my friend Sue a big bunch of these for her birthday in a few days. Purple is her favorite color!)
And magnolias. They make me think of my friend, Jennifer, in Hawaii, because her parents gave Eric and I this magnolia tree when we got married 18 years ago. It's grown slowly and steadily over the years, and blooms in wonderful purples. I love it.
Thanks for visiting! I hope you enjoyed the photos.
