Dasher gift card holder...

Gift cards are so popular. Not only can you stick to a budget that's comfortable for you, a gift card allows the recipient to select something he or she really wants, with the added bonus - it's easy to mail.

Kim came up with this gift card holder. It has Dasher stamped in Soft Suede with the Merriment stamp in Real Red on Whisper White card stock. That is layered on some red Christmas Cocoa designer paper, which is layered on another pattern from that same pack.

The entire holder is 4-1/2" x 11", scored at 3" from either side, then at 5-1/2". The two middle panels are adhered just around the very edges of the sides and bottom. Then you use the Word Window punch twice to make a slot wide enough for a gift card, then a circle punch for a finger pull.

Kim adhered more Christmas Cocoa on an inside panel and the back. The ribbon is only under the top layers.

Dasher...

This Whisper White card features our terrific flocked designer paper in the Christmas Cocoa pack.

I like monotone cards. They're clean and simple.

There's a knot of 5/8" Real Red grosgrain just around the flocked layer, with a Whisper White Top Note on top that's been stamped with Dasher and Merriment stamps (merry & bright) in Real Red.

To add the final touch of glitz, I used my 2-way glue pen with Dazzling Diamonds glitter on Dasher's antlers.

Chocolate treat box...

I wasn't sure what to expect with the new treat boxes Stampin' Up! offers, but now that I've decorated one I love them!

First of all, you get 5 of the bags for only $3.95. They are die-cut, coated, heavyweight card stock - perfect for giving food gifts!

I used some of the new 1-1/4" inch striped Chocolate Chip ribbon, along with the new Snowflake punch (Chocolate Chip card stock), then added a vanilla jumbo brad and "merry and bright" sentiment from the single stamp set Merriment, snipping out triangles at each end and sponging the entire strip before adhering it with dimensionals. That's it! Quick and easy.

The dimensions of the box (item 115690) like this are 7.03" x 11.75" and 2-3/8" wide at the base.
