Halloween Happiness and a creepy spice doll

It's a great day to get together with my fellow Stampin' Up! demos to stamp, swap cards, eat, chat and more!

This is my swap (a card to trade with other demos who've also made a number of the same design). It uses the single stamp Halloween Happiness from the Holiday Catalog. I started with a Basic Gray card and layered a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Witches' Brew designer paper on top. I first stamped the pumpkins in Jet Black StazOn on Very Vanilla card stock, then diecut the image using a Deco Label framelit. I stamped the image a second time in Pumpkin Pie and cut out the word "halloween" and just the one pumpkin (adhered with dimensionals). The final touch - a bow of Summer Starfruit ribbon.

My family carved its own pumpkins last weekend. There's quite the variety. My youngest niece (age 7) drew and carved the far right pumpkin. And her mom made the small white pumpkin look like swiss cheese! I even roasted some pumpkin seeds and added some red pepper flakes for a little kick. They were delicious!

My crafty friend, Kim, created this spice doll, as I'm calling her, using vintage items with a SU! paper cone hat.

I love hand-crafted Halloween items. I've been focusing more on those this year - such as the sampler and Spooky banner I've made already. Isn't this spice doll fabulous? I love it! I keep moving it around the house. Right now, it's on the kitchen windowsill. Thanks so much, Kim! You're one talented lady!!!

Don't forget - you may order any Stampin' Up! item thru my Online Store at  http://therubberroom.stampinup.net. Use my new hostess code for October - VEHSYQRR - and you'll be entered into a drawing for the hostess goodies at my Nov. 1 drawing. Thanks!

Terry, this is a darling halloween card. I am not a fan of halloween so, it means a lot when I see a card for this occasion that I like. I like the cuteness factor. Great job.
