Jolliest Time of the Year...
This card opens up with the River Rock layer... and the Old Olive opens up at the bottom. The double-stitched River Rock ribbon keeps the layers closed.
The background paper is Dashing, and Santa is colored in with watercolor crayons and an aqua painter, with a healthy splash of 2-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter!
Wow, does it sparkle!!!
Two-pocket purse...
To make it you score two sides opposite each other at 1" and adhere down. Then you score the other two sides at 3 1/2" and adhere to each other. This makes a tube.
Keeping the seam of the tube up, fold in half. Then open up and score 1/2" on either side of the fold you just made. From the side, when you fold the purse on the score lines, it should look like a "W."
Once the "W" is in place, bring the top pieces of the tube together and adhere only at the top (not inside the pockets). Use a horizontal slot punch to make a spot for the 5/8" red grosgrain handles and knot the ribbon on both ends and sides.
The purse is a perfect size for Love Notes!
Snow much fun...
This card opens in the middle (the snowman layers flip to the left). The Snow jumbo wheel (Holiday Mini) is rolled in Ballet Blue ink over the front of the card, with snowflakes highlighted with a Uni-bal white gel pen.
The horizontal slot punch holds the 5/8" brocade blue grosgrain knot, and in the bottom corner, a snow burst is stamped from In the Spotlight (Level 2 hostess set) and punched out with the Snow Blossom punch and a silver brad added in the center.
The snowman was colored in with watercolor crayons and an aqua painter.

You can also see a photo corner punch was used, along with Always Artichoke grosgrain, gold elastic cord (Holiday Mini item), and gold brads.

Chipboard snowflake...
Here's a snowflake ornament where White Craft ink was used on the snowflake and heat embossed. A 3/4" circle was punched out of Wintergreen paper (which covers the chipboard square behind the snowflake), with an Always Artichoke button stuck on with a mini glue dot.
Our silver elastic cord with a little knot of 5/8" celery grosgrain is knotted through white eyelets set with the Crop-a-dile (which punches through chipboard like butter!).
Chipboard ornament...
Then Wintergreen paper is glued onto the back of the chipboard for a nice pattern there and inside the snowflake form.
The middle of the snowflake has a 1" circle of Blue Bayou card stock with the "Merry" stamp from Love & Joy (Holiday Mini set) punched with the 3/4" circle punch and adhered to the layer with a dimensional.
As a final touch, the Crop-a-dile was used to make a 3/16" hole for a jumbo eyelet, through which double-stitched blue bayou ribbon was knotted.
Happy snowman...
Here, the snowman is highlighted using a 1 1/4" circle punch, layered on Sage Shadow card stock with the 1 3/8" circle punch, and then a scallop punched out of Always Artichoke.
The designer paper comes from the Wintergreen pack, and the background is the Polka Dot stamp.
Jolliest Time of the Year...
Now to hope we'll get snow this year....

Autumn Fest pages...
5-Petal Punch card...
Adorable, isn't it? The flowers are punched from patterned paper and topped off with a gorgeous build-a-brad that also uses patterned paper.
You probably can't tell that the Soft Sky card stock is textured, and looks beautiful with the Blue Bayou double-stitched ribbon and ink. The greeting is from Sincere Salutations.
Winter Bright 6" x 6" page...
The only thing added to this page that doesn't come in the kit - some 5/8" red grosgrain.
The kits feature textured card stock and double-sided patterned paper. They're awesome!!!
Build a brad card...
This card uses some different colors for a Season of Joy Christmas - Really Rust, River Rock and Soft Sky.
The background is stamped with Linen, and all of the layers were changed up in other versions of my swap using the ticket corner punch on both layers.
Try this card opening...
The Kraft card stock is only 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" - it's the Purely Pomegranate layer that swings open on the right to show "So Much" (from the stamp set of that name) inside.
The circles were cut using a Coluzzle, and the scalloped edge in Soft Sky was made using a corner rounder punch.
I think we all get into ruts when we make cards. It could be they are always vertical, using the same colors, or even the same stamp sets. So when I made this card at the regional seminar, it was a good reminder to crank things up a notch when it comes to creativity in HOW a card opens.
Another use for an envelope...
A True Friend card...
The word stamp was stamped twice - once on Whisper White, then again on a Soft Sky scrap (and cut out to accent the word "Friend.")
I love the way Basic Gray gives a nice neutral pallette to the card. I'm ordering some today!
Friend Pocket Card...
The card is 12" x 4" and is scored at 4" and 8", with a diagonal score between those two score lines from top to bottom.
The word "FRIEND" comes from Fundamental Phrases, and the flower is from So Much.

Flowers for You...
The card is Regal Rose, with Classic Regal Rose ink. Even the 5/8" wide grosgrain is Regal Rose. The scallop is pierced with our paper piercer and soft mat (both are found in the Crafter's Tool Kit). Silver elastic cord ties the scalloped layers to the wide grosgrain.
