Halloween/spider web card for this week's challenge...

This week's challenge is a Halloween card with a spider web. I had a hard time getting everything together. I had the Old Olive layer on my card, ripped it off (and wrecked the Whisper White card) and ran it through the Square Lattice embossing folder for the Big Shot. The spider web is an embossing folder that I sponged a couple of weeks ago, and the tombstone and spider are From the Crypt stamps with a stamp from Grateful Greetings layered on top with dimensionals and sponged. I added a glimmer brad and some gorgeous Pumpkin Pie satin ribbon for "bling." They're yummy!

Stamps: From the Crypt, Grateful Greetings;
Ink: Old Olive, Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie;
Paper: Whisper White, Old Olive
Accessories: Spider Web embossing folder, Square Lattice embossing folder, 5/8" Pumpkin Pie satin ribbon, glimmer brads, sponge daubers, dimensionals.

From the Crypt card...

This card was fun and easy to make. My friend Michelle gave a lot of input. I got to use the new Waffle paper and Black Flourish designer jewels from the Holiday Mini catty. It's a very black card but I love it. The card is Basic Black with a layer of the waffle paper and then a line of the black jewels all cattywampas down the side. The headstone is stamped in Basic Gray with the skull stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White card stock then layered with Basic Black card stock. I added the Basic Rhinestones for eyes and they pop! There's lots of tearing and sponging.

Stamps: Graveyard Gala (115458), From the Crypt (115460);
Ink: Basic Gray (109120), Basic Black (101179);
Accessories: Designer Jewels (120987), Waffle Paper (120985)
                   Basic Rhinestones (119246);
Cardstock: Basic Black (121045), Whisper White (100730).

From the Crypt Halloween paper card...

I love playing with the new Halloween papers Stampin' Up! offers.

The two largest layers of designer paper is from the Nite Owl pack, which will be available to order Sept. 1 (in the Holiday Mini). The Pear Pizzazz glimmer brads are also in that mini.

The "spooky" paper is from the Wicked Fun dsp pack. It's layered on Basic Black card stock.

The bat is punched from Basic Black and I added two little white eyeballs with a white gel pen, then bent the wings for a true 3d effect.

Now for my favorite thing on this card - the skull with bats - in the From The Crypt stamp set. I stamped it in Pear Pizzazz and then used a Basic Black marker for the bats. I added black jewels (another Holiday Mini item) around the scallop circle.

If you love Halloween as much as I do, be on the lookout for my Halloween Stamp Camp coming up next month!

Stamps: From the Crypt (115460);
Ink: Pear Pizzazz pad (119784), Basic Black marker (100082);
Paper: Whisper White (100730), Basic Black (121045), Nite Owl dsp (123012), Wicked Fun Specialty (117400);
Accessories: Uni-ball Signo Gel Pen (105021), Black Flourish Designer Jewels (120987), Glimmer In-Color Brads (121005).

As always, if there's anything you'd like to order, please contact me at ericandterry@comcast.net, or thru my demo website here.

Chalkboard Technique and From The Crypt...

This fun Old Olive card uses the new stamp set From The Crypt and the Chalkboard Technique.

Chalkboard Technique is this: Stamp the skull image in Whisper White Craft ink on Basic Black card stock and, using sponge daubers, dab on Stampin' Pastels. It's that easy.

For this image, I used Perfect Plum, Summer Sun, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie pastels for the image. I wanted the skull's eyes to glow.

The black and Pumpkin Pie layers were both distressed with the Cutter Kit, then adhered over the Cast-a-Spell designer paper.

The spider is from the same stamp set. It's adhered to the card with dimensionals. And the "happy halloween" is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
