Lucky 13th week of pumpkin blog hop & $50 gift certificate

This is it! The 13th and final week culminating in Halloween on October 31. When you add your project (card, scrapbook page or 3d item) you'll automatically be entered into a drawing on Oct. 31 for a $50 Stampin' Up! gift certificate from me. If you don't already have my badge (shown below) on your blog, add it this week because that gets you an additional ticket in the drawing.

I chose the single stamp Frightening Feline for this week's card. I stamped the cat in Basic Gray ink, then used the color spritzer to add specks of Tangerine Tango. I love the glimmer brad in the middle of the natural wood button - I just inserted the legs of the brad into two of the button's four holes to hold it tight. The button and banner - which uses a sentiment from Delightful Dozen - are adhered with dimensionals.

I used this sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge #89. That challenge started Tuesday (if it wasn't obvious by the name of the blog!). *smile*

Just add your Halloween creation to the blog hop, along with the code near the bottom of each post. When you add the code to your blog while you are in the edit HTML mode, your readers can play along, leave comments, and view the samples right from YOUR blog!

Halloween party favor and Frightening Feline projects

Halloween is such a fun time of year to decorate and give candy to friends and co-workers. Why not make your treats something special? Replace the "Trick or Treat" label with a guest name and you have a place holder/party favor! And if you don’t celebrate Halloween, you can still use the instructions and template included to make favors for other occasions!
This super cute project was made by Rae Harper, and you can get the details on her tutorial over at Craft Project Central!

Frightening Feline frame is Wicked Cool and lots of fun!

I'm so happy you're here for Week 3 of my 13 weeks of Halloween fun with The Great Pumpkin Blog Hop. I've got a fun home decor project this time around.

Each week, add your Halloween creation to my blog hop, along with the code near the bottom of each post. When you add the code to your blog while you are in the edit HTML mode, your readers can play along, leave comments, and view the samples right from YOUR blog!

At the end of 13 weeks, I'll be giving one person a $50 Stampin' Up! gift certificate! The more times you enter the blog hop, the better your chances of taking home the Grand Prize. You also get a ticket just for displaying The Great Pumpkin Blog Hop badge on your blog. Whoo hoo!

I wanted to create a Halloween decoration for my studio that is uniquely Stampin' Up!. I bought a wood frame for a buck at a craft store, traced it onto Howlstooth and Scaringbone dsp and cut it out. I used Mod Podge to adhere the dsp to the frame.

I stamped a couple of cobwebs on the frame from the Wicked Cool stamp set, then sponged around the frame with Basic Black ink. I traced the inside of the frame onto First Edition dsp, cut it out and heat embossed the Frightening Feline stamp in Basic Black ink (the new foam pads are juicy enough to do this!). To finish, I made a Spooky banner with a fun, twisted Crumb Cake tulle flower as decoration with a Neutral button and linen thread.

I've shown you my Halloween project - now show me yours! You've got until next Tuesday at 1 p.m. (PST). I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Frightening Feline with Mixed Medley for fun Halloween card

How cute are these two little stamps? They are from the Mixed Medley hostess set in the Holiday Catalog. I received this set FREE along with 3,700+ other demonstrators at Stampin' Up!'s Convention 2012, and used the 3/4" circle punch and 1" scallop punch to cut them out.

I love this Frightening Feline single stamp in the Holiday Catalog. I stamped it in Basic Black ink and clear embossed it. That yummy designer paper is from the Howlstooth and Scaringbone pack. Here's the sketch I used from Mary Jo at Technostamper. I flipped it on its side, using the wide oval punch with the reverse side showing.

You have till Sunday to add your card to Technostamper. It can be any theme or color you like! I'm just excited about Halloween! I've got my own Halloween blog hop starting tomorrow, so I hope you'll join in. Hey - maybe you can make a card for both blog hops!!! It's 2 for the price of 1 (well, they're both free).
