Having a blast!

I was working in the strawberry shortcake booth at Viking Fest yesterday when I saw a woman with her face painted green and antennae sticking out of her head. I had that image on my brain today as I was prepping for club tonight. I had to ink up the adorable alien in the Blast Off stamp set and add a few googly eyes.

I pulled the colors off of the designer paper (from a paper stack). The planet is Baked Brown Sugar, the spaceship is Real Red with Tangerine Tango flames, and the alien is Coastal Cabana.

I hope your day has been a blast!

Blast Off with Technostamper sketch challenge

I can't resist a fun stamp set like Stampin' Up!'s Blast Off. It's got everything you need for a great space card - a rocket ship, astronaut, flames, planets, a flag, and even an alien!

I love how the countdown goes directly into the spaceship. Recognize the designer paper? It's Summer Smooches!

Here's the inside of the card, complete with alien. It's so cute!

I love how this card turned out! The colors are nice and bright - Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Real Red and Island Indigo - and I think any little kid would love to have it for his birthday. I used the sketch provided by Mary Jo at Technostamper. She's got a blog hop going till Sunday, so you've got a few days to create something and add it to the challenge.
