I love the color combination of black and white and red. It makes everything pop.

 

Have you seen this adorable Happy Hearts embossing folder in the Occasions Catalog? What a great background! It's only $7.95 (item 137364). I used a strip of paper from the Stacked with Love dsp stack (item 137779, $6.95) and then stamped and punched out this cute fox image from the Hey, Valentine stamp set. The pop of Real Red came from a marker and 1/8" taffeta ribbon. This is the kind of card that's easy to make a bunch of - and fast!

This is a Soft Sky card with a strip of Painted Blooms designer series paper. The sentiment was stamped in Jet Black StazOn, with parts colored with markers and the entire thing diecut with a Label Framelit. The diecut was sponged with Soft Sky ink, and the cake on the stand was stamped in the same color.

This Cheerful Critter says Happy Day!

 

Have you seen the Cheerful Critters set in the 2015 Occasions Catalog yet? Oh my, it's cute!

 

There are three animals holding up blank signs, and there are words to put in there - such as Happy Day! and I Like Your Face. Who wouldn't smile if they received a card like this?

Pull up a swing under the Sheltering Tree

 

I'm a sucker for tree stamps. This Sheltering Tree stamp set in the Occasions Catalog has so many stamps that you can use it all year 'round.

 

This was one of my designs used at my last 20-card class. If you missed that one, I'm hosting a fund-raising stamp-a-stack (make as many cards as you want from a variety I'll have prepped) on Friday, February 6, from 7-9 p.m. at my studio. There's no need to rsvp - just show up, and bring adhesive! A donation is being asked.

Love Is Kindness

 

I love tulips! There's an annual tulip festival not far from my home every year. It's amazing to see fields of tulips in a variety of colors.

 

I started with Tangelo Twist card stock (an In Color now thru 2016), and added a layer of Pear Pizzazz and Typeset designer series paper. The Love Is Kindness is a single stamp - the bunch of wrapped tulips with the sentiment. It can be found on page 32 of the Occasions Catalog (item 137131, $8.95, wood stamp only). I stamped the image in Jet Black StazOn ink and colored the tulips with Tangelo Twist and Pear Pizzazz markers. Then I used the new Ornate Tag Topper Punch (item 137416 for $22.95) on a 2" strip of Very Vanilla card stock.

 

I'm working on business taxes today, which is not my favorite thing to do. I hope you're enjoying a better day!

How about this card for a Random Act of Kindness (RAK)? I frequently give the people on the other side of the banking drive-thru windows a card and candy. They always appreciate being appreciated!

 

I started with a Crushed Curry card, a 3" x 4" piece of Best Year Ever Designer Paper and a few punched banners on Whisper White baker's twine. The sentiment and lightbulb are two stamps I put on the same block and stamped together in Jet Black StazOn, before sponging and coloring the Whisper White circle.

I hope today is your Best Day Ever

There's something about these words and colors that make me happy. I can see giving a card like this to so many people for a variety of reasons. Best of all, you may choose this stamp set for FREE when you place a $50 Stampin' Up! order by March 31.

I started with a Coastal Cabana card, and added a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of Best Year Ever designer paper (another item you may select for FREE with a $50 SU! order) cut as a banner. Then added a Whisper White hand-cut banner, and a punched Real Red heart.

And yes, this was another of my 20-card class designs - simple and sweet. Have a wonderful day!

A Guy Greetings classic

 

Yet another fabulous man card stamp set in the 2015 Occasions Catalog is Guy Greetings. It's got this car, shoes, anchor, tools, strongman, hats, a banner and great sayings to go with all of those.

 

I used a strip of paper from the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack, and used the 2-1/2" circle punch on Whisper White after stamping the car in Early Espresso ink. Inside the card, it says, "TO A CLASSIC." I used this card for my father-in-law's birthday last week. This was another of my quick card designs for my latest 20-card class. Hope you enjoy your day! I'll be watching the Seahawks football game with my hubby!!!

Wood You Be Mine valentine

 

This is the first time I've seen a stamp set like this - all wood, quips and manly man - so I had to get it. The Wood You Be Mine? stamp set is in the 2015 Occasions Catalog, which started January 6. I made this card for a 20-card class, which is why I opted to skim right over the saw teeth instead of cutting them out individually.

 

I'm diggin' the designs in the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack too. There are so many great mancard patterns and designs. I'll get lots of use out of this great stamp set, since my hubby plays with wood for work.

Lotus Blossom thank-you card

 

It's been awhile since I've posted photos of my cards. The reason is because the Ott light on my stamp desk shorted out. My hubby fixed it, though, and I took photos of 10 cards from my 20-card class last weekend. This is one of the designs - Blackberry Bliss ink and a FREE stamp set - Lotus Blossom (in SAB Catalog, FREE with $50 purchase).

 

I was running out of clear blocks, so we used one stamp for the blossom (it's a 3-step image). I think it's lovely! The designer paper is from the Painted Blooms pack in the Occasions Catalog, page 19 (item 137784, $10.95).
