I've sent out all of my hand-stamped Christmas cards, I'm just about done buying gifts (thank you Amazon.com), the house is festive and bright, and I've been doing bits and spurts of baking.
I've been making Sweet and Salty Chocolate Bark with the recipe on the tag, tied up nicely in gusseted cello bags with ribbon. This is the earliest my neighbors and some friends have ever received gifts from me. And yes, I'm feeling really good about that! I even took a bag of bark into the post office, and have been treating the cashiers at my drive-thru credit union.
My friend, Jen, took me to a Christmas brunch held by a garden club today, where I met so many incredibly nice people. In addition to the fabulous food and drink, there was a Grinch skit and tons of items collected for needy families in the county. It was just plain fun!
