Check out my Halloween Fun class cards and treats

I can't believe Halloween is tomorrow! I am picking up some pumpkins to carve today (it's never too late), and will roast the pumpkin seeds. I've also got prepping and freezing apple pies on my list. I bought 30 pounds to support a camp for kids with diabetes and the big box arrived yesterday. Of course, Big Storm Sandy is still all over the news. I hope you're safe and warm and doing okay if you're in any of the states affected by Sandy.

 

I adore this little favor, made with the Two Tags die for the Big Shot. and Googly Ghouls. I CASE'd this from SU! demo Michelle Last. This one is holding a clear stamping block, but it's perfect for any kind of little boxed candy. We used Junior Mints at my class.

 

 

This card is all about the Howlstooth & Scaringbone dsp, Wicked Cool stamps and Jack of all Trades witch's hat. I used the 2" circle punch for the cauldron. Of course my gals had to make the cute bat that covers microwave popcorn, and the last card with Frankie, the witch and mummy was CASE'd.

Wicked Cool easel card for Week 9 of Pumpkin Blog Hop

 

When I saw my blogging friend Debbie Henderson's cute little candy corn a few weeks ago, I had to incorporate them into my own card! This Halloween easel card was one of the projects for my club members this month. I love those googly eyes!

 

 

I adhered strips of Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White card stock to some computer paper, then used the Pennant Punch to make the candy corn shapes.

 

The card base is Tangerine Tango with pieces of Howlstooth & Scaringbone dsp, some Basic Black ric rac (Tasteful Trims die for the Big Shot), and dotted scallop ribbon. I love the new little scallop circle punch in the Holiday Mini too. It's such a cute size for little sayings like "have a WICKED halloween."

Wow! It's hard to believe we'll be in October and another week closer to Halloween! I figured it was time for my blog header to reflect the change in weather and seasons. What do you think? I wanted to create a Halloween decoration for my studio that is uniquely Stampin' Up!. I bought a wood frame for a buck at a craft store, traced it onto Howlstooth and Scaringbone dsp and cut it out. I used Mod Podge to adhere the dsp to the frame.

I stamped a couple of cobwebs on the frame from the Wicked Cool stamp set, then sponged around the frame with Basic Black ink. I traced the inside of the frame onto First Edition dsp, cut it out and heat embossed the Frightening Feline stamp in Basic Black ink (the new foam pads are juicy enough to do this!). To finish, I made a Spooky banner with a fun, twisted Crumb Cake tulle flower as decoration with a Neutral button and linen thread.

All dots for Scaredy Cat card

I brought this Scaredy Cat card as a make & take to a Halloween event last weekend. I like the simplicity of the card. It uses a couple pieces of Frightful Sight dsp, along with a couple of circle punches, a sentiment from Wicked Cool, black ink and 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, and a Brights glimmer brad.

Dark & Dreary for Monkey Challenge 78: Spooky Cute!

My card for this week's A La Card Monkey Challenge 78: Spooky Cute + Sketch starts with Mocha Morning Specialty Paper (this piece is flocked and sooo soft) and the raven from the Dark and Dreary stamp set. I figured since I was going with flocking I should also bling it up a bit with some chunky champagne glitter. The monkey sketch also showed a tab with an embellishment, so I heat embossed words from Wicked Cool and added a glimmer brad from the basics container - champagne colored also.

My American Ink monthly team get-togethers are fun - we swap, we stamp make & takes, and enjoy good food and each other's company. Even our team members who live out of state have the opportunity to participate in our swaps!

Color Challenge Halloween card with Wicked Cool

It's time for another challenge.

This week, I chose the colors for the Mashup - Pumpkin Pie, Concord Crush, and Pear Pizzazz. I started with a 4" x 4" Pear Pizzazz card, added a piece of Nite Owl dsp (from the upcoming Holiday Mini, which starts Sept. 1) that was stamped with the spider web and sponged with Basic Black ink, and added a Spooky Night rub-on (Holiday Mini).

The witch's shoes were stamped in Concord Crush, punched out with the 1-3/4" circle punch, and sponged with Pumpkin Pie ink. This was layered on a 2-3/8" scallop circle and adhered to the card front with dimensionals over a strip of Pumpkin Pie that was punched with the Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and sponged with Basic Black.

I used a Pumpkin Pie marker to add color to the socks, and some Black Flourish designer jewels on the boots for "bling." A knot of Concord Crush ribbon finishes the card.
