Four deals this week
Weekly Deals
I've been up to my ears helping with a fund-raising auction and am super late posting this week's deals. You can still take advantage of these discounts when you order by Monday night. Then on Tuesday, there will be new weekly deals.
Our auction brought in approximately $20,000 after expenses. What's so wonderful is that this money all goes right back into our community.
I spent 5-1/2 hours working in the back yard with my hubby. We seriously trimmed a yew, apple and plum trees. Now that a chainsaw was taken to them, we get a lot more light! It's like reclaiming lost space. I love it! Hopefully, too, the trim will bring the fruit lower where we can reach it. Squirrels made off with many of our plums this year.
My fingers are sore from the raking, shoveling, weeding and branch tugging I did today. I tried putting branches into a chipper and the machine whipped it around so a smaller branch hit my index finger. Instant bruise. Needless to say, after that I let my hubby stuff branches into the machine. I later added leaves I'd raked (those go in way easier), then spread the chips and mulch around.

Gusseted cello bags, embellishment on Weekly Deals
Weekly Deals
Have you checked out this week's deals yet? I'm a day late, but you can save a few bucks on these items thru next Monday evening when you place an online order. There are so many great products - especially if you're crafting holiday goodies for friends and family.
We attended my niece's wedding this past weekend - talk about creativity! My niece and her friends decorated several chalkboards with the wedding info, agenda, and menu, and they made a couple of photo backgrounds with burlap, lace and festive banners. There were photo collages, an old ladder with framed photos of loved ones who have passed with candles on each step of the ladder. Everything was just so pretty. My daughter and I grew herbs and put them in small mason jars tied with navy bows and tags with the wedding date, the bride and groom's names and the kind of herb on a tag hanging by linen thread for the wedding favors. Centerpieces were babies breath in quart-sized mason jars with burlap and lace adhered around the middle and a bow of 1/4" satin navy ribbon. Even the crate for wedding cards was decorated with a mini banner. There are so many great uses for Stampin' Up! product.
