Have I toad you lately...

Unfroggetable provides the perfect sentiment to go along with the other stamps, which are from Haunting Halloween.

The 5/8" chocolate grosgrain is held on with a couple of mini glue dots and adhered to the back of the Almost Amethyst layer.

Spotlighting with a punch is a favorite technique - especially with swaps. You don't have to color in the larger image!

Haunting Halloween...

The 5/8" grosgrain ribbon and spiral punch are such terrific accessories, no matter what the occasion.

Here, the cat is stamped in Basic Black and colored in with a blender pen and Stampin' Pastels. Then the "spray" was added using a black marker and color spritzer.

The top of the card is paper from Creepy Crawly. It makes Halloween projects a cinch!

Witching you...

a Haunting Halloween. This stamp set was one of the six featured in the Fall Frenzy Promotion, which ends today.

Earth Elements watercolor crayons and an aqua painter were used to color in the cauldron.

The main card is Pumpkin Pie card stock, with Really Rust on the bottom. Also, the black strip is pierced.

Halloween trivia: Some people believe that if you see a spider on Halloween, it is the spirit of a loved one watching over you. (Source: www.bonita.k12.ca.us/allen/Fun/Halloween.htm)

Are you my mummy?

Halloween can be such great fun, especially when shared with friends. These two 6" x 6" scrapbook pages were easy to put together and hold fond memories of a special neighborhood party last year.

Holy Triptych...

is a set out of the Holiday Mini Collection. For the sample at the right, the Floral background is stamped in Bashful Blue ink on the same color card stock.

The angel image from Holy Triptych is stamped in black StazOn on vellum card stock and embossed with Hologram Highlights powder. It's a favorite because it leaves a heavenly sparkle.

The angel is then layered on Whisper White card stock, both layers held together at the top with the silver brads, and then ripped at the bottom and sponged with Bashful Blue ink and layered on Brushed Silver card stock.

Silver elastic cord (also found in the Holiday Mini) is wrapped around the top a few times and knotted, while noel from Many Merry Messages is stamped and embossed like the angel.

Season of Joy...

Wrapping paper can be used for more than just gifts! Look at how nicely it works for cards.

This set, Season of Joy, is out of the Holiday Mini Collection. I love the variety of stamps in the set!

I was experimenting with the paper piercing. I might've gotten carried away.

Batty for You...

Creepy Crawly paper... the jumbo Batty wheel... the Batty for You stamp set and Pumpkin Pie ink and card stock are matches made in a spooky heaven!

Batty for You works so well with our circle punches - and the stamps fit perfectly inside our scallop punch. What's not to love about that?

The FOR YOU comes from Happy Everything, and the Sanded background stamp adds great texture.

Merry & Bright...

The four images in the Merry & Bright stamp set (Holiday Mini) are so cute and easy to work with.

For this 6" x 6" scrapbook page, the top and bottom images are stamped in the same color they're layered on. For the middle image, the greeting is stamped in Close to Cocoa with Real Red poinsettias around the edges. Use a 1 1/4" square punch for the top layers, and the 1 3/8" square punch for the back layers.

The River Rock strip under the squares is stamped in that same color ink with the Aida Cloth background stamp. And double-stitched River Rock ribbon is first threaded through some Hodgepodge Hardware before getting adhered to the Dashing designer paper with sticky strip. No snowman or snow - great for those warm places during the holidays!

A true friend...

These 6" x 6" brag book pages are very pretty in person. The Cameo Coral card stock is textured, and the Blue Bayou print paper is gorgeous!

These were Louise's swaps for our group meeting. She used the True Friend stamp set from the Holiday Mini Collection, along with the scallop and photo corner punches. A double circle punch used on the photo corner makes it easy to thread the white taffeta ribbon. The colored brad is from the Earth Elements.

A man and his tractor...

should never be parted. By Land isn't just for little kids. It's great for scrapbooking a page like this 8 1/2" x 11" one.
The colors are Brocade Blue, Sahara Sand and Basic Black. The tractor is stamped in Ruby Red with Basic Black and Ruby Red wheels.

Jolliest Time of the Year...

After a bit of fall, I thought it'd be fun to do a Christmas card. This one uses Print Pattern, and Jolliest Time of the Year.

The snowman is embossed with Craft Chocolate Chip ink and clear embossing powder (same with the phrase) on vellum card stock, and colored from behind with markers. Then it's layered on Whisper White with only the two silver brads.

Behind the snowman is a pallet of 5/8" grosgrain colors, woven together and then layered on Whisper White.

Christmas trivia question: Which department store created Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer? Wal-Mart, J.C. Penney, Montgomery Ward, or Sears.

The answer: Montgomery Ward. (Source: http://harleys.freehostia.com/main.html)

Changing leaves...

Colorful leaves are the hallmark of fall. Autumn Fest in Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy and More Mustard are used on this card. The Sanded background stamp is stamped over the leaves in Creamy Caramel.

The taffeta ribbon is Mellow Moss, knotted over a slice of Holiday Harmony designer paper, and layered on a piece of Bravo Burgundy that's been pierced.

Looking forward to fall...

Autumn Harvest and Holiday Harmony designer paper come together in this Warm wishes card.

The pumpkin was stamped in Really Rust, while the sentiment is in Always Artichoke. Chocolate Chip satin ribbon (Holiday Mini Catalog) compliments the tones, along with gold brads and the ticket corner punch.

Autumn Fest...

Autumn Fest and Sanded look wonderful together!

And these colors feel like fall. They are Wild Wasabi and Pumpkin Pie, with a little Chocolate Chip thrown in (everything's better with chocolate!).

The phrase comes from In My Thoughts.

Autumn trivia: In the United States and the rest of the northern hemisphere, the first day of the autumn season is the day of the year when the Sun crosses the celestial equator moving southward (on September 22nd or 23rd). This day is known as the Autumnal Equinox. (Source: http://www.calendar-updates.com/info/holidays/us/autumn.aspx)

Winter Bright Box....

This was shown at the annual Stampin' Up! convention in Denver, CO, Aug. 2. I thought it was a great gift idea. Look below for directions to make the box, dividers, and see 10 cards made with the adorable Winter Bright kit!

Winter Bright directions for box...

The fold lines may be difficult to see on this scan, but I just wanted to show how to decorate the front of the box with other items in the kit.

To make the box: Use one piece of 12" x 12" paper. Cut off 3 1/4" from one side. Score in from all sides at 2 7/8". Score diagonally on the CORNERS only (not the middle section). Fold on all the lines, and have the corners sticking out - they look like triangles.

Then fold the side triangles so they overlap (I like both of the front triangles overlapping the back because I think it looks nicer). Punch one 1/16" hole on each side through the triangles and side of the box and secure with pink brads.

This is a really simple box pattern you can use for any 3" x 6" cards, regardless of whether you use a kit or not. So try one today and let your imagination go wild!

Winter Bright dividers...

These are the four dividers for the Winter Bright box. The red pieces measure 2 15/16" and 6", and the pink utilizes what you cut off to make the box! A round tab punch and some self-adhesive diecuts complete these.

These make the Winter Bright...

The Simply Scrappin' kits are so wonderful now... and Winter Bright is one of my favorites.

All of the 12" x 12" card stock is textured, the patterned paper is all double-sided, and the self-adhesive diecuts are so easy to use for a variety of projects.

Below, I've made 10 3" x 6" cards using the kit. Look for the box and dividers soon to come!

A Winter Bright mini album...

Mini albums are great ways to use a few or many photos from a single event. These photos are from a family sledding/ATV party Christmas 2006.
