Color me happy with Color Me Christmas stamps

Color Me Christmas is such a fun Christmas stamp set. I paired the tree with Season of Style designer paper. I colored the tree with markers above - Crushed Curry, Wild Wasabi, Cherry Cobbler and Baked Brown Sugar - after stamping it in Jet Black StazOn.

This card uses the flip side of the same designer paper, and I went with a monochromatic look using Cherry Cobbler for the ornaments and sentiment, which comes from the More Merry Messages stamp set.

Color Me Christmas for a happy card

I love a well-dressed reindeer! This little guy from the Color Me Christmas stamp set (page 32 of the Holiday Catalog) is just so cute. I used a blender pen and ink pads to add color.

I started with a Wild Wasabi card and added strips of Cherry Cobbler card stock (embossed with the Stylish Stripes folder - item 132174, $7.95) and Season of Style paper stack (item 132181, $6.95). The sentiment is stamped on Baked Brown Sugar card stock. I CASE'd this card from fellow SU! demo Nicole Tugrul.

As you know, Black Friday is upon us. I avoid stores at all cost since I don't like the crowds and craziness, and you can too. Stampin' Up! is having some wonderful deals on great products - and will be adding a couple more online for Cyber Monday - when you can get all kinds of specials when ordering online. Here are the current SU! specials:

Weekly Deals (good thru Monday)

You may order anytime day or night via my Online Store at http://TheRubberRoom.stampinup.net. I'll enter you into my December 1 drawing for free SU! product of your choice.

Note: Starting December 1, when you place an online order with me, you'll need to have the hostess code or you won't be entered into my drawing. I've been able to add it for those of you who forget - but no more as of Dec. 1. Some demos have been abusing the system, so it's up to you! If you do forget, you can always contact Stampin' Up! to have demo support add the hostess code, since I won't be able to do it. Thanks!

Red and white Christmas plus Cards for Hospitalized Kids

This cute little Santa is from the Color Me Christmas stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.

I created this card for a 10-card Christmas class. It uses a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of Polka Dot Parade designer paper and some silver 1/8" ribbon to create a tall present. The sentiment is from More Merry Messages.

One of my blogging buddies (Hi, Cheryl!) mentioned a new charity I can easily support. It's called Cards for Hospitalized Kids. Here's what it's all about:

Cards for Hospitalized Kids(CFHK) is an internationally recognized charitable organization that spreads hope, joy & magic through uplifting, handmade cards to kids that are hospitalized and/or seriously ill.

Individuals and groups across the nation, and world, donate time and creativity to make handmade cards and send them to us to distribute in hospitals across the nation.

Over 40,000 kids in hospitals in all 50 states have received cards from us. We believe this is just the beginning. We hope you will help us brighten the days of as many hospitalized kids as possible.

A couple of nieces visited Sunday, so among the things we did, we sat down and wrote inspirational messages inside each of these 42 Halloween cards. It feels wonderful! I hope you have a fun day.

Reindeers in sweaters

This adorable sweater-wearing reindeer from the Color Me Christmas stamp set reminds me of the book "Llamas in Pajamas." I used markers to color him in - Marina Mist, Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake.

Yet another one of my 10 card designs for my 20-card Christmas class last week, this was a favorite of mine. It's a Marina Mist card with a 2" x 5-1/2" strip of Polka Dot Patterns designer paper, a 2-1/2" punched circle, and a banner with a cheery greeting. Couldn't be easier or cuter!

Color Me Christmas thinlit card; Spooky banner class

There's nothing like sparkle and shine on a Christmas tree! I added punched circles of silver glimmer paper to this Color Me Christmas tree. This was one of my 10 card designs for a 20-card class Saturday.

Here's the finished card. I used Pool Party Core'dinations card stock and first used my magnetic platform (item 130658, $39.95) with the Circle Thinlit (item 133480, $32.95 - love it!), then used my regular platform with the Stylish Stripes folder (item 132174, $7.95), and sanded it. I stamped the Tags 4 You saying in Pool Party ink and punched it with the Label Bracket Punch (item 132153, $15.95). Most of these products may be found in the Holiday Catalog.

There's room for 1 more at my Halloween Banner class on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 11-2 p.m. The cost is $15. The catch - I need to know by this Wednesday, Sept. 26, if you will attend because I need to get your banner kit ordered. Please email me at ericandterry@comcast.net. Thanks! You can pay me the day of the class.

I love old scales! Here's a vintage IDL Deluxe Thrifty Postal Scale I found with its original box. And guess what? It's Made in the USA. Cool! To see more items like this, please visit http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. Thanks!
