Spooky Night Rub-Ons party favors...

These favors were a lot of fun to make with new Holiday Mini Catalog products.

They use Spooky Night Rub-ons and the Party Favor die for the Big Shot, as well as 1/8" Basic Black taffeta ribbon, Wicked Fun dsp, the large oval punch and Basic Black card stock.

I was inspired by the Candy Shoppe at SU! Convention in July, with trays of paper goodies filling many shelves, and had to make my own (below). I plan on making another tray of "cookies." I'll let you know how those turn out! Have a great day.

Stamping 411: Midnight Raven jeweled card...

I get so excited about Halloween! And the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog has so many fabulous products in it - these black jewels, the single Midnight Raven stamp and Spooky Night rub-ons, to name a few.

I created this card for the Stamping 411 challenge today. It's a Cajun Craze card with a Top Note die-cut from Wicked Fun dsp.

I used the Cutter Kit to distress the raven layers, and added two Vintage Trinkets button brads. The "Spooky" rub-on is on the bottom part of a Curly Label-punched piece of Basic Black card stock.

Flower Fancy rub-on card...

This was another club card this month. It's a Whisper White card with a layer of Almost Amethyst (retiring!) on top.

We stamped a few flowers and leaves from Flower Fancy (20% off thru April 30) on Confetti White card stock in Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery and So Saffron inks, added an Eyelet Border Punched strip of Tea Party designer paper and a knot of Certainly Celery satin ribbon.

Everybody chose a brown rub-on from the Lovely Flowers Bundle (Level 3 hostess bundle) to add to the ribbon using their bone folders.

Spring Stamp Camp bunny card...

Rub-ons and sparkly rhinestones are fun and easy to use on cards, and unique.

The bunny image is the only stamped part of this Whisper White card. It comes from the Eggcoutrements set in the Occasions Mini, along with the rhinestones and floral rub-on (Eggcellent Eggs Kit).

We stamped the bunny in Rich Razzleberry ink and punched it using the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. It layers perfectly on a 1-3/8" Rich Razzleberry circle, and a Whisper White scallop circle.

Tip: When applying the rhinestones, use a paper piercer to gently "pull" a rhinestone from a line of rhinestones and place with your opposite index finger.

The designer paper is from the Level 3 hostess bundle Lovely Flowers. This card was inspired by Andrea Walford.

Icicle Rub-ons and glitter ornaments...

I enjoy making ornaments every year... and my kids love making these kind.

These small, glass ornaments are available at craft stores and some big box stores. I start by removing the tops, rinsing them all out with water, and leaving them upside down in the plastic tray they come in.

One by one, you grab an ornament, funnel some glitter into it and shake it up (with your thumb over the hole unless you really love glitter!). Tap out any excess.

Then I like to take rub-ons - this snowflake came from the Icicle Rub-Ons in the Holiday Mini - to add that extra somethin'. And since these ornaments never seem to come with hangers, I use silver cord.

House of Haunts Split-Image Technique...

I've been having a lot of fun with my monthly technique class. We make three projects for a $15 order.

In addition to the bucket below (our 3d technique), we made this cool card using the House of Haunts stamp set, Spooky Treats Rub-Ons, and Night and Day designer paper.

The Split-Image Technique is simple: I cut two squares of card stock (Whisper White and Basic Black) the same size as the house stamp's wood block. I stamped the house image in Versamark on each piece, and heat embossed the image on black card stock with White Embossing Powder, and the image on white card stock with Black Embossing Powder.

Once you have those embossed pieces, simply cut them in half and piece half of each together, so you can make two split-image cards.

The "spooky" is a white rub-on on a piece of Basic Black card stock that's been punched using the Modern Label Punch. I used the Uni-bal white gel pen to add the white spots.

There's a little black library clip (in a class I use these to keep the rub-on and its layer together) with a knot of black gingham ribbon.

Spooky Treats Rub-On bucket...

Okay, so there I was surfing the web one day when I came across a cute bucket using the Pillow Box die for the Big Shot.

I had to make one! It uses 3 Pillow Box diecuts (Pumpkin Pie card stock here), and you remove all of the curved pieces that are scored. I then used the Cutter Kit to distress the tops and bottoms a bit.

We used 3 strips of Basic Black card stock inside that were scored 1/2" from each end, adhered with Sticky Strip for strength, then adhered a Pumpkin Pie circle to the strips - again with Sticky Strip.

This bucket uses 2 pieces of Cast-a-Spell designer paper (3" x 12" and 3" x 3 1/4"), along with a Pumpkin Pie Scallop Circle (attached with dimensionals).

I used the white rub-on on Basic Black card stock, then punched it out with the Wide Oval Punch.

The finishing touch is a knot of the 1-1/4" striped Pumpkin Pie ribbon, attached with a dimensional, as well as some shredded card stock and candy!

From the Crypt & Extreme Elements 3d project

Here's a party favor box (Big Shot die) using Night & Day designer paper and the stamp sets From the Crypt and Extreme Elements.
I asked downline to help with this project for my Halloween stamp camp. The 5/8" black grosgrain ribbon is the handle, held onto the sides of the box with Real Red brads.
The Modern Label Punch was used on Basic Black card stock for the "treats" rub-on (Spooky Treats Rub-Ons).
The skull and bat were stamped in Basic Black ink. An element was stamped in Real Red, then onto the front of the skull, as well as sponged around the Whisper White layer before being adhered to Real Red card stock.

Spooky Treats rub-ons & Extreme Elements...

This little she-spider is the product of a 3/4" Circle Punch, Round Tab, and 1-3/4" Circle Punches.

We started with a Basic Gray card base, followed by a strip of Basic Black that was punch with the Eyelet Border Punch. That strip was adhered to the back side of a Lavendar Lace layer.

We'd stamped one of the Extreme Elements stamps in Basic Gray in the upper right-hand corner and added a white rub-on from the Spooky Treats pack. We pierced holes and added black brads.

The spider body is a 3/4" Circle Punch out of the Lavender Lace layer. We put black jelly beans in the Sweet Treat cup, then added the legs, which were punched with the Round Tab Punch and cut in half.

The final touch is a knot of black gingham on the left, as well as a cute little bow Kim added to the head. Wiggly eyes (4 mm) are stuck on with Mini Glue Dots.
