Kim and I exchanged gifts yesterday. I can't believe she made this gorgeous pillow! Who knew she even sews? This photo doesn't do the pillow justice. The crochet trim looks amazing on it, as do the buttons on each corner. I love the vintage look and feels of the fabrics. Do you see the scallop squares Kim cut with the Big Shot? Thanks, Kim! I love, love, love this.
This is another Kim project. She was inspired by a card she saw, but changed up the card base and sponged more. There are snowflakes stamped in Shimmer Paint on the card front. The white snowflake is the Snowflake #2 die for the Big Shot. Kim sponged around that, then added a Baja Breeze snowflake from the Northern Flurry decorative strip with an antique brad in the center. This card is so pretty and antique looking in real life.
Kim's club members made this cute Deck the Halls ornament using strips of the dsp, Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler seam binding, and crochet trim. Below, you can see what it looks like on the inside. You just add a photo inside the scallop circle. A cute and easy gift!
Kim filled this box with Hershey kisses and stamped a tag from Tags 'til Christmas for me. The box is one of 25 in the countdown to Christmas package (Holiday Mini Catalog), which also comes with rope and mini clothespins. I made the 25 day countdown in boxes for my kids, adding a variety of candy to each box. But wouldn't this be great for a group of friends/co-workers/your kid's class? The red grosgrain ribbon is included in the kit. Kim added Whisper White Taffeta. I love the clear tinsel in the Candy Cane Christmas designer button too. It's sitting on a punched white snowflake. It's not too late to order this kit to make your own adorable treat boxes!
Kim and I had lunch today and she brought several projects to share here on the blog. This one is a cheery pumpkin-colored pail with the medallion stamp from the Day of Gratitude stamp set front and center. Notice the three inks on the medallion? It's so pretty. The flower brad in the middle is brown. Kim used waffle paper around the pail. Of course since there's a handle, it's got to be covered with ribbon! You could put dirt in this and give it to someone and they wouldn't care because the pail is so cute all by itself.
You can tell Kim's a bit nervous during her first video... but I think she did a great job, and the On Board Art Journal she covered looks wonderful (that Greenhouse Gala dsp is my fave!).
