Moments matter with Monkey Challenge #96

I felt Every Moment was an ideal stamp set for the A La Card Monkey Challenge #96 this week: Moments + Sketch. Life is all about the moments, and the journey. I try to remember that often, and focus on mostly good moments.

 

For this Baja Breeze card, I used some Pocketful of Posies dsp layered on Night of Navy, a little pleated satin ribbon, a few pearls and a scalloped Night of Navy card stock strip that I ran through the Tasteful Trim die in the Big Shot. I watercolored the main image, using So Saffron to outline the image to give it more depth. I hope you like it! Here's the sketch:

Watercolored Every Moment for sketch challenge...

I finally found time to make a card for the Paper Players. I've been wanting to join these gals for quite awhile. Lesley came up with a really nice sketch for the challenge this week. I started with a Crumb Cake card and Every Moment stamp set, along with First Edition and Paisley Petals dsp. I used an aqua painter and ink pads to color the flower and butterfly. Every Moment cattails in Cajun Craze...

Here's a card we stamped at Donna's workshop on Sunday with the Every Moment stamp set.

I CASE'd it from the catalog (page 118), changing up the colors to Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze.

We also tore the right edge to show a strip of Cajun Crazy inside. The image was colored in with a blender pen and ink pads.

Every Moment watercolored card

I love the colors in this Every Moment card, which was one made at my 4 Cards for $5 Class.
There are a lot of layers to this card - Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, So Saffron, and Nursery Suite Specialty Paper.

I CASE'd this card from Ilina Crouse.

Everything was stamped in Jet Black StazOn first. The flowers and butterfly are on watercolor paper. I used a So Saffron marker for the center, and the ink pads and aqua painter for the rest.

There are two button brads next to the sentiment, and a knot of Poppy Parade ribbon through the middle.
