You don't have to be a Traveler to enjoy this card

My Card Club gals were busy this month making the gate fold card I showed on my blog yesterday, plus this filmstrip card. And the easel card I'll share tomorrow.

I started with an Always Artichoke card base, and layered on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of So Saffron stamped with World Map in Cajun Craze. I took a 2" x 4-1/4" piece of Always Artichoke and used the Spiral Bunch on both sides to make it look like a filmstrip. Then I inked up the images from Traveler in Cajun Craze, stamped them on Very Vanilla and punched them out with a square punch. The sentiment is from the stamp set Wetlands.

I CASE'd this idea from fellow SU! demo Frenchie at http://www.frenchiestamps.com/2014/09/travler-for-masculine-monday.html.

Come on by tomorrow to see the birthday easel card I made!

Detailed train man card

I LOVE the train from the Traveler stamp set. It's so detailed.

I started with a Whisper White card and used Old Olive, Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight card stocks, cutting them to make them banners. The colors came off of the Color Coach. The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set.

I could travel all year long, I think. I love seeing new places, meeting new people and gaining new experiences. As you read this, I'm on a road trip with my bestie, Kim. We're going junkin' - shopping for antiques and vintage goodies and just hanging out and going where the road takes us. Hope you have a wonderful week!

A perfect duo: Traveler meets World Map

I saw a card similar to this online and thought I'd make my own version using the ship stamp from the Traveler set. It's like you're on one ship looking through a porthole at another, right?

I started with a Sahara Sand card and stamped the World Map in Early Espresso on Soft Sky card stock. The Wisteria Wonder porthole with silver mini brads completes the three-color combo that I got off of the Color Coach.

For Dad the Traveler

This ship brings forth great memories of cruises my hubby and I have taken - several as Stampin' Up! incentive trips that I earned, and the very first one we took as an adventure to Alaska in 2007.

So I figured this Traveler card will be perfect for my hubby. I layered a piece of paper from the Moonlight dsp stack (item 133701, $6.95), on a Whisper White card. The ship from Traveler (item 134513, $19.95 clear; item 134510, $27.95) is stamped in Lost Lagoon (a new In Color) and layered on the same color card stock, then adhered to the front of the card with dimensionals and a banner punched out of Hello Honey card stock.
