I've spent hours on this Stampin' Up! Design-a-House and it's still not finished! It will be by Saturday, because that's when I'm hosting my American Ink team Christmas party, complete with a Design-a-House Contest. Of course, my house doesn't really count. I'm the one giving out the prizes!
Still, my daughter and I worked out on this house. We used Sticky Strip (red tape) to adhere the Jolly Holiday dsp to the white chipboard. We ran Early Espresso scraps of card stock through the Square Lattice embossing folder for the Big Shot to add texture to the door and flower boxes. But do we want flowers? Or do we want to go with a winter theme? What do you think?

Looks a lovely creation!I think a few poinsetta flowers and some holly wouldnt go a miss in the window boxes you could always add bit of the white stuff to the holly leaves.Well have fun creating the rest

ReplyDeleteYou were asking about how to get into craft fairs. I'm at a really early stage with this, and don't think I have much expertise. I managed to get my first stall by being ready to step in at the last minute for a cancellation. That has got me on the organiser's contact list, meaning that I will get early notification of her shows. I've also been talking to other organisers within a 50 mile radius, hoping to get onto their lists. Here in the UK, I've been using a website called Stallfinder, and I'll let you know how successful that turns out to be.

ReplyDeleteOh how fantastic! I love the textured door and knob especially. I like the idea of Christmas flowers and ivy, but after all this work why not put a little velcro to dab 'em on with and change the flowers to springtime flowers in a few months. Show us next week what you decided!

ReplyDeleteThe beauty is that the two of you are doing it, for me that's a bliss. The other beauty is that it is a fab thing already - I vote for a wintery feel - but what do I know. Perhaps make another, decorate both and then I'll choose?!!

This is great! Love the idea - you could have a whole village! Not sure whether I would do winter or spring but I would put some colour onto the transparency on the windows and then put a nightlight (battery one) inside. Kind of like my Advent House behind the laser cuts - second picture down. (http://hickydorums.blogspot.com/2010/12/done-up-to-number-eight.html)
