Snow Swirled elegance in Marina Mist...

I love the pretty simplicity of this card, which was one of the five we stamped at my Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack the other night. It uses Marina Mist, Petals A Plenty embossing folder, the Snow Swirled stamp set, dotted scallop ribbon border punch, and rhinestones. I CASE'd the card from Robin Merriman.

Halloween/spider web card for this week's challenge...

 

This week's challenge is a Halloween card with a spider web. I had a hard time getting everything together. I had the Old Olive layer on my card, ripped it off (and wrecked the Whisper White card) and ran it through the Square Lattice embossing folder for the Big Shot. The spider web is an embossing folder that I sponged a couple of weeks ago, and the tombstone and spider are From the Crypt stamps with a stamp from Grateful Greetings layered on top with dimensionals and sponged. I added a glimmer brad and some gorgeous Pumpkin Pie satin ribbon for "bling." They're yummy!

Newsprint Christmas card with Peaceful Season...

I always think of music when I think of Christmas. This card features the Peaceful Season stamp set (the holly branch), as well as Tags Til Christmas (the dec. 25 stamp) with a piece of Newsprint dsp. I borrowed this idea from Diana Gibbs, changing out the focal point.

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday: Tree Trimmings...

I have a Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack tonight at 6 p.m., so I'm working on the last couple of cards. My stampers make 2 each of 5 different designs, so they walk away with 10 cards. Here's what my desk looks like while prepping a card. I have a shoebox-sized plastic container on the floor to the right where I throw the envelopes and pieces of the card.

The card is Baja Breeze card stock with a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Candy Cane Christmas dsp and a 1/2" strip of Wild Wasabi card stock. The stamp set is Tree Trimmings from Stampin' Up!. I got it free during last year's Sale-a-Bration Event, so I had to put it together to make this card. A little glitter (okay, maybe a lot!) and a tag with a little rhinestone bling finish the card.

Rest of Halloween Stamp Camp projects...

I bought one dollar wooden frames at a craft store awhile ago. When I saw a similar project here I knew this would be perfect for my camp. I spray-painted the frames black. We used the Haunting Hill jumbo wheel in Basic Gray ink and Fang-tastic stamps. The 5/8" Pumpkin Pie satin ribbon is gorgeous, and there's some black lace trim knotted around it as well.



There's sponging, coloring with an aqua painter and ink pads, and markers. The witch, vampire and greeting are all adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.



This 2-step owl punch luminary was CASE'd from http://frenchiestamps.com/ The "moon" is the 2-1/2" circle punch out of the side of the Party Favor Box. There's a piece of vellum paper adhered with mini glue dots and sponged with Daffodil Delight.

This card was CASE'd from Tiffany Bauer who changed up a card Heather Summers had created. It uses black lace trim, Aviary stamps, sponging and Nite Owl dsp.



I started out CAS'ing a card from Heather K. (tankgrl on Splitcoast) and decided to simplify it since I was getting tired! I used the Happy Halloween stamp from Dark & Dreary and pretty much followed the rest of her design. This was the first time I got to use my Tasteful Trim die for the Big Shot. There are lots of great edges there!



Using the Big Shot for fall cards...

Here's a card Kim gave me the other day that uses the Big Shot to emboss the Chocolate Chip spider web (embossing folder), and cut out leaves (Leaves #2 die). Different pieces of Stampin' Up!'s patterned paper were diecut into leaves to add a lot of texture and interest. The stamped leaves on the card front and the sentiment are from the stamp set Falling Leaves.

Batty owl...

Kim gave me this Rich Razzleberry card. It uses the Top Note die and a bevy of punches: Bitty Bat, medium oval, two-step owl, two-step bird (just for the branch), and 2-1/2" circle (in the Holiday Mini). The designer paper is from Wicked Fun, and the sentiment is from the Halloween Hoot stamp set.

Holly's sweet Flight of the Butterfly...

My friend and downline Holly sent me this sweet thank-you card recently. It's a Certainly Celery card with Square Lattice-embossed Regal Rose and Baja Breeze on top. The little butterfly is from the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. It was stamped in all three colors, cut out and placed over squares that were stamped with the grass from Inspired by Nature. Thanks Holly!

French Foliage get well card...

First, I want to give a shout out to my friend and downline Holly, who was a demonstrator presenter at the Baltimore Regional Seminar in Maryland this morning - WAY TO GO, HOLLY! It's tough presenting new stuff to a room full of crafting professionals! I'm so proud of Holly. You rock, girl!

I am the Care Committee for my Lions Club, which means I make cards for members who are ill or if there's been a death in the family. This Thursday I had one of each. One member's spouse died, and another had to go in for another operation to remove some cancerous spots from his bladder. This card is a full 8-1/2" x 11" piece of Crumb Cake, with Elegant Soiree dsp and 5/8" Chocolate Chip satin ribbon. It needed to be good-sized so there's room for everybody to write a small message. I used the French Foliage stamp set from the Holiday Mini in Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip inks.

I seem to be stamping cards for Halloween, then Christmas, then Halloween again. So it seems fitting that since I had my Halloween Stamp Camp last night, I should be stamping Christmas cards today! This Cherry Cobbler card features Deck the Halls dsp, which contains all of the colors in the challenge today - Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand and Cherry Cobbler. I used the spiral punch on the dsp, Cherry Cobbler seam binding, and champagne glass glitter on Tombow Liquid Adhesive on the Contempo Christmas saying. Super cute, super easy!

Wicked Cool Rich Razzleberry card...

This is one of the cards we'll be making tonight at my Halloween Stamp Camp. It uses Wicked Fun dsp, along with some Black Flourish Designer Jewels. I love using a purple color for Halloween - it's so rich! And this color happens to be Rich Razzleberry. The "Spooky" is embossed White Craft ink.

Batty for You notecards...

Once again I needed a handful of thank-you notecards to put in my customers' Stampin' Up! bags with their orders. I love the Batty for You stamp set because you can stamp it, punch it and go!

The Pear Pizzazz card stock had been run through the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder for a previous project and so was leftover. The scallop circle came from the pennant die, which I used last night. I just needed the pennants for a SPOOKY sign at my studio, so the scallop circles were "bonuses." I added a little black lace trim and there you have it!

The scallop circles under the ribbon were leftovers from pennants I die-cut last night. I found some of them were perfect to layer behind my Frankenstein monster on the notecard.

Growing Green and Woodland Walk watercolored card...

My club members made this Growing Green card this month. It uses Woodland Walk dsp, as well as crocheted trim. The words are from Teeny, Tiny Wishes, and are adhered to the Crumb Cake card front with dimensionals.

Nite Owl-covered coffin for Halloween decoration...

I had a couple of items I wanted to alter before my Halloween Stamp Camp Thursday evening - this coffin was one of them. I picked it up at a craft store for $2.99.

I used SNAIL on the wooden bottom of the coffin and stuck it to a sheet of Nite Owl dsp, then cut around it with a hobby blade. I did the same for the lid.

The spider web sides came out of another piece of Nite Owl dsp, 1-1/8" wide that wraps all the way around the way around and is cut around the clasp. I used 5/8" Old Olive satin ribbon for the sides of the lid, knotting it, then added black lace ribbon over the top.

These Black Flourish Designer Jewels are really fun to add to projects. For more bling, I added an antique brad with the raven that I punched from dsp.

My 11-year-old's Long Fellows card for his dad...

My son created this cute dog card for his dad's birthday. He used the dog from Long Fellows (Level 2 hostess set), as well as a greeting from Family Phrases.

All of the paper came out of my scrap box - a piece of Blueberry Crisp dsp, Pacific Point card stock, even the half sheet of Very Vanilla. Markers were used to color in the canine.

It was my hubby's birthday yesterday, so I made this quick 4" x 4" card for him using the Countryside stamp set. It uses a piece of Jolly Holiday dsp, some Early Espresso card stock and 1/8" taffeta, as well as a sentiment from Three Little Words.

Stamping 411 Sketch with Blowing Kisses...

I've liked the stamp set Blowing Kisses from the first time I laid eyes on it in the catalog. I've only used it once before, so the Stamping 411 Sketch 170 was the perfect opportunity to get more ink on it.

I started with a Whisper White card, and added Poppy Parade card stock that's been punched with the scallop trim border. On top of that is some Pawsitively Prints II dsp and a knot of Poppy Parade ribbon.

I stamped the rabbit in Basic Gray and used an aqua painter and Sahara Sand on him, and Poppy Parade on the hearts. To give the bubble hearts that wet look, I added Crystal Effects.

Sketch challenge with In Wilderness stamp set...

I used this Sunday Sketch & Stamp sketch to create an earthy square card I think anybody would love to receive. I put together my In Wilderness stamp set for this card, inking up the bison and the words in Early Espresso. The paper is from the Woodland Walk dsp pack.

I ran a strip of Early Espresso card stock through the Square Lattice embossing folder in the Big Shot to add some texture to the card, as well as the three antique brads.

This card also uses several punches - the 1-3/4" circle for the bison, the wide oval for the sentiment, and the decorative label for a layer behind the words.

It's down to the wire for posting a Mojo Monday card, considering it's Sunday afternoon already! This is from this past week's Sketch 157. It features Butterfly Prints and Celebrations dsp, and is my niece's birthday card.
