Everybunny loves Easter for Monkey Challenge #102

Wow! Do these colors scream Easter eggs or what? lol I love the Everybunny stamp set. The bunnies in it are so adorable. I used a blender pen and ink pads to color the image, and cut 5/8" strips from Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie dsp (Brights Pattern Paper Pad), while embossing the 5/8" Tempting Turquoise strip with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I created this card using the A La Card Monkey Challenge #102: Easter + Sketch. You can see the sketch below. Isn't that bunny the cutest?

Stamps: Everybunny;
Ink: Jet Black StazOn, Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, and Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride;
Paper: Whisper White, Brights Pattern Paper Pad, Tempting Turquoise;
Accessories: Brights Brads, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, dimensionals, blender pen.

SSS card features Posy Punch hostess set

Before I go into the specifics of this card, I thought I'd take a minute to remind you that our Sale-a-Bration Event ends tomorrow (a freebie from the SAB Mini for every $50 ordered). I have an order going in tomorrow, so if you want something, you can still take advantage of my specials, as well! Just email me at ericandterry@comcast.net. Also, if you want to buy the Starter Kit for only $125 + sales tax, that ends tomorrow night at 10:50 p.m. (PST). You can sign up through my demonstrator website here - http://TheRubberRoom.stampinup.net. You'll be able to select a free package of designer paper or a free digital download every month, starting in April.

My Secret Stampin' Sister (SSS) mailed this Posy Punch card to me this week. It uses the Everyday Enchantment dsp, Eyelet Border Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, and Fancy Flower Punch. The little flowers are from a punch in the Itty Bitty Punch Pack.

The kids have officially started their Spring Break, and my hubby didn't have work. I made Peanut Butter Bars (the recipe is on my Pinterest board) and won tons today. And last night I made the White Cheese Chicken Enchiladas - a new family favorite. That recipe is also on my Pinterest board. I hope you have a terrific day!

He is Risen Elegant Bird die card for Easter

This card has an easy elegance, thanks to the Framed Tulips embossing folder, the white organza ribbon and the Elegant Bird die. I CASE'd this card from Lisa Young. It also uses a label framelit that I embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, a pearl, eyelet border punch, and designer brad. The "happy easter" is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.

I hope you have a great day! I'll be prepping for my 10-card class before going to my son's student-led conference this afternoon.

Punch art bunny rabbit card for Easter

I had a 4-card class last week and this punch art bunny card was one of the designs. I CASE'd it from another demo named Laurie Zoellmer. I used the Brights patterned paper pad for the Old Olive dots, and ran it through the Adorning Elements edgelit for a nice curve. The other patterned paper is from the Flirtacious dsp pack. The "Happy Easter" comes from Heaven Blessed. Punches used: Boho Blossoms (tail), ovals (small - retired, and medium, for feet, hands, ears, mouth, and sentiment), Full Heart punch for the head, 1/2" circle for the ears, Itty Bitty Punch Pack (circle - nose, flower - for the flowers by the sentiment), and 1-3/4" circle for the body.

Tea Shoppe pocket tea bag insert

I created this Petite Pocket with a tea bag insert tag for a few Opportuni-Tea Events I scheduled during Sale-a-Bration. My team has added 22 people since July! I think that's phenomenal! This Tea Shoppe project is CASE'd from one Stampin' Up! co-founder Shelli Gardner made at Leadership Conference in January. I simply changed the colors.

There's some cutting out of the teacup, a label framelit, a punched flower and pearl, Cherry Cobbler seam binding, some Beau Chateau dsp and an eyelet border.

The stamped tag fits inside the Petite Pocket. I cut out another teacup to adhere to the tag on the tea bag, and adhered the teabag to the tag with a mini glue dot. The Everyday Enchantment butterfly brad through the Modern Label gives you a good surface to pull the tag out of the pocket. A hot cup of tea actually sounds good about now! See ya.

Everyday Enchantment Accordian Scrapbook

This handy little 4" x 4" accordian scrapbook makes a great brag book for a purse, or a one-of-a-kind card that allows you to share several photos with a friend. I used Everyday Enchantment dsp and Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon (approximately 27 inches).

When you open the scrapbook, there are four squares for photos, and you can even cut your photos from corner to corner to put them on the folded pieces. This scrapbook uses 3 sheets of 8" x 8" card stock (I cut down 8-1/2" x 11" sheets). Score/fold each sheet in half each way, and on ONE diagonal. In this photo, you can see I used Lucky Limeade card stock (mountain folds) for the left and right pieces, and Whisper White (valley fold) for the center. With the mountain/valley/mountain folds all pointing North and South, I adhered the white full squares over the Limeade full squares. Then I added 3-13/16" pieces of Everyday Enchantment dsp cut from corner to corner so there wouldn't be added weight/paper in the way when it's folded.

Fresh Vintage for Monkey Challenge #101: Spring

Spring has sprung around here! It was such a pretty day, with the sun shining brightly. Coincidentally, Spring has sprung at A La Card Monkey, where there is a new Monkey Challenge #101: Spring + Sketch.

I love the Everyday Enchantment dsp. I made four different accordian scrapbooks with that designer paper and coordinating card stock. I'll show one of those this weekend. This card starts with Pool Party card stock. I separated the dsp and embossed Whisper White pieces with a strip of Poppy Parade. I paper-pierced it, but then added rhinestones when the piercing didn't really pop out at me.

The pennant (also embossed) and the scallop circle layers are from the Pennants Die for the Big Shot. I added some ruffled Pool Party ribbon on Sticky Strip at the top of the pennant. The Fresh Vintage stamp was inked with markers. You can see the sketch below. I actually borrowed it from one of my downline's swaps a couple of weeks ago.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Mixed Bunch and Pocketful of Posies dsp for quick card

Happy Friday! This is yet another simple design I used for my last 10-card class. It uses 1-3/8" strips of Pocketful of Posies dsp with the Blossom Punch and Mixed Bunch stamp set. We used the 3/4" circle punch for the Poppy Parade inside of the flower, and a sentiment from Loving Thoughts in Baja Breeze to complete the card. I hope you have a fabulous day!

Furry Folk Easter card with Big Top Birthday dsp

This Furry Folk card is one I used for my 10-card class. It starts with an embossed Tempting Turquoise card and a 1-1/2" strip of Big Top Birthday dsp. I think the animals in this stamp set are so funny-looking and cute. I had to use the bunny for an Easter card. The sentiment is from Teeny, Tiny wishes. I've got a lunch date today, so I'm looking forward to that. Hope you have a great day!

I'm all Twitterpated over my SSS card

I have to post a second time today to share this card from my Secret Stampin' Sister. Getting a hand-stamped card in the mail is wonderful. My SSS always writes a kind note inside. This card uses Marina Mist and Blushing Bride colors, Blushing Bride pleated satin ribbon, Twitterpated dsp, and the Fresh Vintage stamp set. I believe the butterfly is from a hostess set called Precious Butterflies.

Creative Elements with Perfect Words

This 4-1/4" square Regal Rose card uses Brights dsp (the big pad), Whisper White Baker's Twine, and Regal Rose and Sahara Sand inks. It's another design I made for my last 10-card class. It uses the Creative Elements stamp set, as well as an Itty Bitty Punch - the heart - with a rhinestone. The sentiment is from the Perfect Words hostess set. This card is a CASE of one by Teneale Williams.

Heaven Blessed for Easter cards & Cupcake Stand

Today I thought I'd share one of the projects from my last 10-card class, along with my latest Pinterest project - a cupcake stand. The Bashful Blue card uses Everyday Enchantment dsp, a Labels framelit, and the bunny from Heaven Blessed. The cupcake stand is a 10-cent saucer on a $2 glass candlestick that was spray painted with satin pink Krylon.

This photo makes the cupcake stand look crooked, though it isn't. It's sweet, yes? I made four others - one more pink one, two yellow and one green. I think these would be fun to place food or decorations on at different heights.

This is the same card with a different Heaven Blessed stamp - the chicks. I like the layout, so you might be seeing it again soon!

You're a Gem owl punch card for birthday card

One of my downline celebrated a birthday last week. I did get this birthday card to her then, but am just getting around to posting it now. I started with the owl punch and Melon Mambo card stock. The partial circle scallop punch is supposed to look like a cloud (the owl is flying). I love the "Queen for a Day" sentiment from You're a Gem. And since it's about being a queen, you need a trinket crown. The designer paper is from the Flirtacious dsp pack. I hope you have a terrific Sunday! I've got to head out to the studio for a 10-card class today. Those cards will be posted soon.

Almost forgot the envelope! I used a 7-3/4" square piece of Flirtacious dsp and the Diagonal Scoring Plate and whipped up this envelope in a minute. Love it!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This St. Patrick's Day card was sent to me by my Secret Stampin' Sister this week. Isn't it cute? She used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and Scallop Trim Border Punch with some white organza ribbon and Teeny, Tiny Wishes. I love the tiny silver brads on there too. Who needs a clover/shamrock stamp when you can make one with hearts? My SSS used the Full Heart Punch and a button. Voila!

A La Card Monkey blog hits 100th challenge

This week, for A La Card Monkey Challenge #100: Celebrate! + Sketch, I made a really simple sketch that I rearranged slightly. Instead of having scallops around my circle, I added them to the designer paper. Obviously, with celebrating the 100th challenge, there's got to be BLOG CANDY! To be eligible, you can 1) upload a creation of your own using the link above; 2) become a Follower of our blog; or 3) leave a comment with your email address. It's that simple!

Here's what I'm providing for the BLOG CANDY: Two stamp sets, a Thank-You note kit, 8mm pearls, Chunky Baja Breeze Glitter, a flower keychain, Daffodil Delight Pom Pom Trim, Whisper White Baker's Twine in a container I customized with a paper flower, Sweet Stitches Designer Buttons, a photo book to alter, Scallop Trim Border Punch, and Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details. Now that's some terrific BLOG CANDY!

Now for my card:

It uses the new Summer Smooch dsp (everyone will be able to order some April 1), along with the Kidoodles stamp set. The card is Pacific Point card stock, and I used a blender pen and Pacific Point ink to color the image. The banner is from the Petal Cone die, and I added a few Brights Glimmer Brads. Here's my sketch:

American Ink team make & takes

What's the most fun about our American Ink team meetings? The stamping! Every month I ask for volunteers to bring make & takes, and I'm never disappointed. It's great practice for new - and more experienced - demos to prep a project. And while I'm talking about what's the most fun, I do love seeing and chatting with everybody!

I'm doing a Product Share at every team meeting. This month we learned about the Diagonal Scoring Plate. So my two-part make & take used the Everyday Enchantment dsp for the envelope (7-3/4" x 7-3/4" piece), which takes less than a minute to create with the Diagonal Scoring Plate. The second part was making a coordinating card using the Blossom Punch and Teeny, Tiny Wishes. You can read all the details of the Diagonal Scoring Plate in my right-hand column.

I can't remember who brought this (Frankie?). The stamp set is Just Believe.

Barb brought this Happiest Birthday Wishes card. It uses the Everyday Enchantment dsp, ribbon and brads.

Ginette brought this Tempting Turquoise card. It uses the Triple Treat Flower, the 5-Petal Flower and Fancy Flower punches, and the Top Note die.

Happy Easter everybunny card

I was reminded this week of how fast Easter is approaching - April 8, I believe. So my clubs this month are making this Everybunny Blushing Bride/Marina Mist card. We masked the mushrooms to make the bunny look like he's behind them a bit. We used aqua painters and watercolor crayons to color the image.

Stamps: Everybunny;
Ink: Jet Black StazOn;
Paper: Whisper White, Marina Mist, Nursery Nest dsp, Marina Mist;
Accessories: Oval punch, oval scallop punch, Blushing Bride poly-stitch ribbon, aqua painter, Watercolor Crayons (Neutrals, Subtles), Itty Bitty Punch, rhinestones, dimensionals.

Elementary Elegance to Tea Shoppe quick cards

Here are three more quick and easy cards I've used for my 10-card classes recently. The one above uses Sale-a-Bration free items Elementary Elegance stamp set and Everyday Enchantment dsp and ribbon, along with the Curly Label and 1" circle punches. I CASE'd and flipped a card from Thoughts That Stick.

This sympathy card uses Mocha Morning Specialty dsp, Fresh Vintage (free SAB set), Blessings from Heaven, and the Scallop Trim Border Punch with a Basic Black ink pad. I CASE'd a card from Jill's Card Creations.

This Tea Shoppe card uses River Rock and Not Quite Navy colors. I used the 3" Circle die for the Big Shot for the circle behind the tea cup. There's also Paisley Petals dsp on there, with a Neutrals Button with Whisper White Baker's Twine.

I hope you have a great day! I think I'm going out and about today.

Butterflies for my first Secret Stampin' Sister card

I'm so excited! I love getting good mail - and what's better than a hand-stamped card? Puddin' Head, one of my downline, offered to oversee the Secret Stampin' Sister for 6 weeks so I could take part in it. How fun is that? This card uses Sincere Salutations, Everyday Enchantment dsp and brads, the Scallop Trim Border Punch, Beautiful Butterflies die, glitter and rhinestones.

It's been a full day today. I had two clubs meet. I love the projects this month. I'll be showing them to you later this week. I still have lots to share from our American Ink gathering Saturday, along with more 10-card class quick and easy cards, so come back soon!

Fresh Vintage birthday card

This is a design I CASE'd from Deb Currier for a 10-card class. It uses the Everyday Enchantment dsp and brads, as well as the Fresh Vintage stamp set. You can get all three items free thru the end of March. You get to select one freebie every $50 you order from the Sale-a-Bration Mini. The sentiment is from the Loving Thoughts stamp set in the Occasions Mini.

Packed for Birthday pinata card

I brought out the Brights for this Packed for Birthday card. It uses a single stamp. I stamped the image twice, using a 1/4" circle punch to highlight the pinata, then layering it on Tangerine Tango. This technique is called Spotlighting with a Punch. This was a design for a recent 10-card class.
Stamps: Packed for Birthday;
Ink: Basic Gray, Markers - Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red;
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Brights Pattern Pad;
Accessories: 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" circle punches, dimensionals, 1/4" Real Red grosgrain.

Thrift stores and Love & Sympathy for Monkey Challenge #99

Stamping is a nice way to end this Friday. I've been looking for some great pieces for my sister's vintage show in May, and found all kinds of fun stuff at area thrift stores. I found a record cabinet (those round flat things we used before CDs became the norm - hee hee) for only $12 and a couple of other items, including a little wagon, a white picket shelving unit that folds flat, another shelving unit where the three shelves come all the way out and are each a different color, two little picket fence Tchotchke holders, and a bunch of doilies.

Now to the stamping portion of this post! I love the colors of this Love and Sympathy Twitterpated card. I focused on Baja Breeze for the card, ribbon and buttons, and chose to keep the main image very simple so it wouldn't compete with the floral patterned paper behind it. I like the Ticket Corner Punch for a touch of sophistication to an otherwise simple card. I made this card for the A La Card Monkey Challenge #99: Flowers + Sketch.

I used the sketch below that I made in My Digital Studio to make my card.

Quick stamp-a-stack cards

Here are a few quick and easy card designs I used for a 10-card class recently. I hope you like them!

I used Daring Adventure for this fun man card. It's a Peach Parfait card stamped with Soft Suede. I love the Vintage Trinkets button brads in the corner.

This turtle is from the stamp set that helps raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities. It's called Turtle & Co. It's all Wild Wasabi ink, card stock and 1-1/4" striped grosgrain and embossed polka dots.

This Sahara Sand card uses a strip of Everyday Enchantment dsp, some 3/8" Not Quite Navy taffeta ribbon, and the Triple Treat Flower single stamp. I stamped the flower first in Poppy Parade and punched it out with the Fancy Flower Punch, then inked the stamp in Not Quite Navy and used the 5-Petal Punch, adhering the flowers together with dimensionals and an Everyday Enchantment brad.
