New Holiday Mini items - Merry Crittermas and dsp...

I've had an overwhelming response to my Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack tonight! I actually had to turn away 5 people. I hate doing that!

This is one of the cards everyone will be making tonight. It starts with a Crumb Cake card base, with a Baja Breeze layer that's been punched with the Scallop Edge Border at the bottom, and a piece of new Candy Cane Christmas dsp.

The tree and cat stamps are from the Merry Crittermas stamp set in the Holiday Mini (starts tomorrow - Sept. 1). I used markers to add color and layered it on Garden Green card stock.

The words are from the same stamp set. They were stamped in Chocolate Chip and punched using the Word Window Punch, then layered on a Baja Breeze Modern Label Punch and adhered with dimensionals.

Sketch challenge with Blissful Bride square card...

I'm happy with the way this square card turned out.

There are layers of Chocolate Chip and Greenhouse Gala dsp, a few punches (1-3/4" circle, the huge scallop circle, and photo corner), and pearls.

The dress stamp is from Blissful Bride, which is retiring Tuesday, Aug. 31, from the Summer Mini Catalog. If you want to order it, please click here. I added color with an aqua painter and Pear Pizzazz and Baja Breeze.

Ink: Markers - Chocolate Chip (100071) and Pear Pizzazz (In Color pack 119801), Baja Breeze pad (111833);

Fancy Flower punch with Island Oasis dsp...

This was a "warm-up" card for my club members this month.

I wanted to make use of the Island Oasis dsp before it's no longer available (Aug. 31 is the last day to order from the Summer Mini).

The sentiment is from the Level 2 hostess set, Apple Blossoms. We used Tempting Turquoise and Real Red markers to ink up the stamp.

We used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch on the polka-dotted pumpkin pie paper, and the Fancy Flower Extra-Large punch on the turquoise paper. The leaves were die cut with the Stampin' Up! Island Floral die for the Big Shot.

Stamps: Apple Blossoms (Level 2 hostess set, FREE with $300 order);

From the Crypt Halloween paper card...

I love playing with the new Halloween papers Stampin' Up! offers.

The two largest layers of designer paper is from the Nite Owl pack, which will be available to order Sept. 1 (in the Holiday Mini). The Pear Pizzazz glimmer brads are also in that mini.

The "spooky" paper is from the Wicked Fun dsp pack. It's layered on Basic Black card stock.

The bat is punched from Basic Black and I added two little white eyeballs with a white gel pen, then bent the wings for a true 3d effect.

Now for my favorite thing on this card - the skull with bats - in the From The Crypt stamp set. I stamped it in Pear Pizzazz and then used a Basic Black marker for the bats. I added black jewels (another Holiday Mini item) around the scallop circle.

If you love Halloween as much as I do, be on the lookout for my Halloween Stamp Camp coming up next month!

Stamps: From the Crypt (115460);
Ink: Pear Pizzazz pad (119784), Basic Black marker (100082);
Paper: Whisper White (100730), Basic Black (121045), Nite Owl dsp (123012), Wicked Fun Specialty (117400);
Accessories: Uni-ball Signo Gel Pen (105021), Black Flourish Designer Jewels (120987), Glimmer In-Color Brads (121005).

As always, if there's anything you'd like to order, please contact me at ericandterry@comcast.net, or thru my demo website here.

Every Little Bit stamps with Play Date dsp

I'm playing catch-up with the latest Mojo Monday sketch.

I used the Every Little Bit stamp set for the critters, and Family Phrases for the sentiment, layered on Play Date dsp, then Chocolate Chip card stock on a Tempting Turquoise card.

There's a big Chocolate Chip satin bow with three turquoise glimmer brads (from the upcoming Holiday Mini) at the bottom.

Stamps: Every Little Bit (117096 wood, 120558 clear), Family Phrases (114960);
Ink pads: Old Olive (102277), Chocolate Chip (100908), Tempting Turquoise (100814), and So Saffron (105213);

Two challenges in one: Sunny Garden dsp and Word Play...

After enjoying a week-long vacation with my family, I'm back and loving the stamping challenges! Today, I'm using Sunny Days designer series paper, and Stamping 411 Challenge 166. For that one, you can see the sketch below my card.

I started with a Whisper White card and oval. Everything else is Sunny Garden dsp with a medium-sized Poppy Parade heart and strip. I created some faux stitching with a Poppy Parade marker. I used that marker and More Mustard on the sentiment, which is from Word Play.

The oval is adhered with dimensionals, as are the hearts. Three white jumbo brads finish the card.

The "happy birthday" is from Teeny, Tiny Wishes.

Stamps: Aviary (116956 wood, 120462 clear), Teeny, Tiny Wishes (115370);

Morning Cup with Vintage Wallpaper...

A few of my clubs made this lovely card this month.

I CASE'd the card from Patti Chesky here.

I started with a Bashful Blue card, and added a piece of Regal Rose to the top that'd been run through the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder for the Big Shot, with the bottom dsp from the Nursery Suite Specialty pack.

I stamped the stack of cups from Morning Cup in Basic Gray, and used an aqua painter and ink pads to color in the image. The 1-3/4" circle was sponged with Early Espresso - the same color of the scallop circle it's layered on.

I also added Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the cups with a 2-way glue pen.

Stamps: Morning Cup (116988 wood, 120489 clear);
Ink: Basic Gray pad (109120), Early Espresso (119670), Regal Rose (105211), Bashful Blue (105209);
Paper: Whisper White (100730), Bashful Blue (105120), Regal Rose (105130), Early Espresso (119686), and Nursery Suite Specialty (117165);

Daffodil Watercolor Trio

I'm really going to miss this stamp set. This card was so simple...used markers on the stamp image and then sprizted with Stampin' Mist to give an even more "watercolored" look before I applied it to the cardstock.  Did some tearing, punched out a sentiment and added a little bit of embleshment.
Stamps: Watercolor Trio (117050)Summer Mini Catalog
Inks: Wild Wasabi(120975), Poppy Parade(1198001), Daffodil Delight(119677) Markers
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, (108641) Daffodil Delight (119683), Watercolor Paper(105019)

Just Believe rhinestone card in Marina Mist

I stamped so much last weekend - it was a blast! I'm digging the Just Believe stamp set. It's definitely my go-to stamp set when I need something fast. I love that the main image may be stamped on the card, inside the card, and on the envelope. I never get tired of looking at it. This card is just Whisper White and Marina Mist.

Greeting Card Kids Christmas card...

This Greeting Card Kids make & take was what I brought to our recent American Ink gathering.

It starts with a Very Vanilla card, then features some Scallop Edge Borders in Perfect Plum, under Riding Hood Red and Love Letters dsp.

The 2-1/2" Circle is a new punch coming out Sept. 1 in the Holiday Mini. I love these larger punches - they make layering so easy!

The main image was stamped in Basic Gray ink and colored in with ink pads and an aqua painter.

The sentiment is from a stamp set called Contempo Christmas.

Stamps: Greeting Card Kids (119887 wood, 120633 clear), Contempo Christmas (118734 wood, 120594 clear);
Ink pads: Riding Hood Red (111836), More Mustard (103162), Perfect Plum (101437), Wild Wasabi (109014);
Paper: Very Vanilla card stock (101650), Perfect Plum (101889), Riding Hood Red (111348); Love Letters dsp (117162);
Accessories: 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Extra-Large Punch (118874), Scallop Edge Border (119882); 2-1/2" Circle Punch (120906, available Sept. 1 in Holiday Mini).

Stamping 411: Midnight Raven jeweled card...

I get so excited about Halloween! And the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog has so many fabulous products in it - these black jewels, the single Midnight Raven stamp and Spooky Night rub-ons, to name a few.

I created this card for the Stamping 411 challenge today. It's a Cajun Craze card with a Top Note die-cut from Wicked Fun dsp.

I used the Cutter Kit to distress the raven layers, and added two Vintage Trinkets button brads. The "Spooky" rub-on is on the bottom part of a Curly Label-punched piece of Basic Black card stock.

Stamps: Midnight Raven (116529);
Ink: Markers - Basic Black (100082), Cajun Craze (119678), and Peach Parfait (119801 for all 5 In Colors);
Paper: Cajun Craze (119684), Basic Black (121045), Wicked Fun Specialty Paper (117400), Very Vanilla (101650);
Accessories: Vintage Trinkets (118764), Cutter Kit (106958), Curly Label Extra-Large Punch (119851), Spooky Night rub-ons (120989), Black Flourish Designer Jewels (120987), Top Note die (113463).

Color Challenge Halloween card with Wicked Cool

It's time for another challenge.

This week, I chose the colors for the Mashup - Pumpkin Pie, Concord Crush, and Pear Pizzazz. I started with a 4" x 4" Pear Pizzazz card, added a piece of Nite Owl dsp (from the upcoming Holiday Mini, which starts Sept. 1) that was stamped with the spider web and sponged with Basic Black ink, and added a Spooky Night rub-on (Holiday Mini).

The witch's shoes were stamped in Concord Crush, punched out with the 1-3/4" circle punch, and sponged with Pumpkin Pie ink. This was layered on a 2-3/8" scallop circle and adhered to the card front with dimensionals over a strip of Pumpkin Pie that was punched with the Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and sponged with Basic Black.

I used a Pumpkin Pie marker to add color to the socks, and some Black Flourish designer jewels on the boots for "bling." A knot of Concord Crush ribbon finishes the card.

Stamps: Wicked Cool (118738 wood, 120600 clear);
Ink: Pumpkin Pie marker (105115), Concord Crush pad (119785), Pear Pizzazz pad (119784), and Basic Black pad (101179);
Paper: Whisper White (100730), Concord Crush (119792), Pear Pizzazz (119795), Pumpkin Pie (105117), Nite Owl dsp (123012);
Accessories: Spooky Night rub-ons (120989), Black Flourish Designer Jewels (120987), Concord Crush 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon.

Friday Mashup Color Challenge: Punched spider card...

I wanted to play with new punches and the Spider Web embossing folder from the Holiday Mini for today's Mashup. This cute spider emerged.

The Pumpkie Pie card front was run through the Big Shot in the Spider Web embossing folder and sponged with Concord Crush ink to make it "pop."

I layered a punched bat on punched Pear Pizzazz dsp and Concord Crush card stock with the Decorative Label punch (coming up Sept. 1 in the Holiday Mini) for the spider's body. I also used the Decorative Label punch to make the spider legs.

The spider's head is Peach Parfait dsp punched with a new oval punch. The eyes are Black Flourish Designer Jewels, another Holiday Mini item.

The words are from Grateful Greetings, punched wth the large tag punch and layered on the extra-large tag punch. Pear Pizzazz ribbon and glimmer brad decorate the tag.

Stamps: Grateful Greetings (116511);
Ink: Concord Crush pad (119785);
Paper: Concord Crush (119792), Pumpkin Pie (105117), Whisper White (100730); In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack (117158);
Accessories: Large Tag Punch (119876), Pear Pizzazz 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon (119265), In Color Glimmer Brads (121005 - Holiday Mini), Decorative Label Punch (120907 - Holiday Mini); 3/4" x 15/16" Oval Punch (120908 - Holiday Mini), Spider Web embossing folder (120889 - Holiday Mini).

Kim's swap...

Kim broke out her new big buttons for swapping at our American Ink meeting. The buttons are featured in many colors in the Holiday Mini Catalog, which begins Sept. 1.

The Whisper White card stock was run through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, punched at the bottom with the Scallop Border Punch, and a strip of Rich Razzleberry dsp added inside.

The same paper was punched with the Extra-Large 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, then layered a larger 2-1/2" circle (new Holiday Mini item), with a 3/8" piece of taffeta ribbon knotted through the button.

The Sincere Salutations greeting was stamped and then punched out using the Extra-Large Decorative Label Punch (another Holiday Mini item), sponged and then layered on a piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock that had been punched with the Curly Label Punch.

Stamps: Sincere Salutations (115068);
Ink: Rich Razzleberry (115658);
Paper: Whisper White (101730), Rich Razzleberry (1115316), Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack (117155);

Dark & Dreary Halloween swap...

As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, you can order from a mini catalog the month before it goes live to customers.

If you want to enjoy perks like this, contact me at ericandterry@comcast.net or call me. I'd love for you to be a part of my American Ink team.

I love Halloween (candy, costumes, decorations...) and so I ordered all of those items first from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog (the order period begins Sept. 1).

The raven, spider, and sentiment are from the Dark & Dreary stamp set. I used the 1/2" circle punch and a dimensional to pop up the 31 in Pear Pizzazz.

I used some of the Nite Owl dsp at the top of the card, with a piece of Raven 1/2" lace trim below it. I used the Spider Web embossing folder just on the bottom of the card.

This was my swap for our American Ink demo gathering today. Hope you like it!

American Ink gathering: A Minute to Win It!

At our American Ink Stampin' Up! demonstrator gathering today, I thought it'd be fun to play A Minute to Win It game. It brought back fun memories of convention - and we were sharing info about convention.

Each woman had 1 minute to try to get the chocolate chip cookie from her forehead into her mouth without of use of her hands. It was so much fun! Thanks to everybody for being such good sports. I love you all!!!

Pearl's new spa treatment?

Frankie's the first to get the cookie in her mouth - and in just 30 seconds!
Barb S. is not only a talented stamper, but gifted at this cookie game - she did it in something like20 seconds.
Kim is having so much fun! She moved the cookie straight down her face, over her nose and into her mouth!

Barb A. could get the cookie to her eye, but it kept falling off after that.

Even our guest demo, Heather, wasn't exempt from the contest.

Bird theme challenge card with Aviary stamp set

Good morning! For this challenge, I decided to turn to my Nursery Suite Specialty paper for this decorative Regal Rose scallop. I love that we have so many terrific designs, but it's hard to cover them up at all. So instead, I opted to stamp the birds from Aviary on the big scallops and add lots of rhinestones for bling!

The sentiment is from the Level 2 hostess set, Apple Blossoms. I used the Decorative Label punch (Sneak Peek for what's coming up in the Holiday Mini Catalog Sept. 1).

Kim created the adorable card below using the Aviary stamp set.

This So Saffron card uses some Play Date dsp and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, as well as a series of oval punches.

Terry's Card:
Stamps: Apple Blossoms (Level 2 hostess set, FREE with any $300 order), Aviary (116956 wood, 120462 clear);
Ink: Soft Suede pad (115657) and marker (120973), So Saffron pad (105213), Tempting Turquoise pad (100814) and marker (100058);
Paper: Whisper White (100730) and Nursery Suite Specialty (117165);
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones (119246).

The Nicest Things in pastel...

The Nicest Things stamp set is great if you like to color. And since I just purchased the new Stampin' Pastels, I had to use them!

This was one of the cards at last week's 4 Cards for $5 class.

The girls were stamped in Basic Gray and colored in with the pastels and cosmetic applicators (flat on one end and pointed on the other). The layer of Pear Pizzazz under the Confetti White layer was first punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

There's a 2" x 5-1/4" strip of Pear Pizzazz dsp (from the In Color Pad) behind the girls, with a saying from Hodgepodge Happiness on it, punched out with the Extra-Large Oval Punch.

I added two Pear Pizzazz bitty flowers (Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack), with shiny rhinestones in the center of each. The greeting was then adhered with dimensionals.

Stamps: The Nicest Things (117036 wood, 120531 clear), Hodgepodge Happiness (117141 wood, 120570 clear);
Ink: Basic Gray pad (109120), Pear Pizzazz (119784);
Card Stock: Confetti White (102028), Pear Pizzazz (119795), In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack (117158);
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones (119246), Stampin' Pastels (120962), Scallop Trim Border Punch (118402), Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309), 2" x 1-3/8" Oval Extra-Large (119859).

Embossed Love Letters dsp...

Stampin' Up! offers such great embossing folders, it's hard to resist using them on everything!

Here, I started with a Very Vanilla card and added a layer of Riding Hood Red card stock that's been run through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

I used the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch with Very Vanilla card stock for the flower, running it through in the Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

The center of the flower is a 1-3/4" circle punched from Love Letters dsp. The stem is a strip of Old Olive, with a knot of 5/8" Old Olive satin ribbon for leaves.

The sentiment comes from the Level 3 hostess set Occasional Quotes. It was punched with the 1-3/4" x 7/8" large oval punch and layered on an oval scallop.

Stamps: Occasional Quotes (free with $500 party/order, Level 3 hostess);
Ink pad: Riding Hood Red (111836);
Card Stock: Very Vanilla (101650); Riding Hood Red (111348), and Old Olive (100702);
Accessories: 1-3/4" x 7/8" Oval Large Punch (119855), 1-3/4" Circle Extra-Large Punch (119850), Scallop Oval Extra-Large (119884), 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Extra-Large Punch (118874), Square Lattice Embossing Folder (119976), Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (117335); and 5/8" Old Olive Satin Ribbon (117292).

Printed Petals Card

Love the Printed Petals stamp set that Shellie gave us on the Southern Caribbean Cruise in late April! We're going to be making this card at my clubs this month.

I used Pacific Point, Sahara Sand, and Not Quite Navy inks. The large flower was first inked in Pacific Point and then re-inked in Not Quite Navy using the Rock-n-Roll technique. Blueberry Crisp DSP is my favorite right now. I also punched the little flower in the center of the build-a-brad with it, then had to throw on one of our new Pearl Jewels. I made this card with my daughter-in-law in mind.

Stamps: Printed Petals set 116679, Defining Alphabet set 114952, Define Your Life set 114950;
Accessories: Build-a-brad 109128, Pearl Jewels 119247, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack 118309.

Every Moment cattails in Cajun Craze...

Here's a card we stamped at Donna's workshop on Sunday with the Every Moment stamp set.

I CASE'd it from the catalog (page 118), changing up the colors to Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze.

We also tore the right edge to show a strip of Cajun Crazy inside. The image was colored in with a blender pen and ink pads.

3rd post today! Wow... this one is Stamping 411 sketch with Nursery Suite...

Simple sketches like the Stamping 411 sketch this week lend themselves well to stamp-a-stack cards (where you stamp 10 cards in just a couple of hours).

The sentiment came from Blowing Kisses. The bunny in that set does not match the bunny on this Nursery Suite paper.

Stamps: Blowing Kisses (118740 wood, 120603 clear);

Ink pad: Chocolate Chip (100908);
Card  Stock: Nursery Suite dsp (117165), So Saffron (105118), Regal Rose (105130), and Chocolate Chip (102128);
Accessories: 1" Circle Punch (119868), 1-3/4" x 7/8" Oval Large Punch (119855).

Grunge Rock for sketch challenge...

I'm a little quicker this week, actually creating a card using the Mojo Monday sketch on Monday! Go figure.

This Grunge Rock card uses Blueberry Crisp designer series paper and features distressing with the Cutter Kit.

Stamps: Grunge Rock (117080 wood, 120855 clear);
Ink pads: Sahara Sand (105208), Not Quite Navy (103008), and Pacific Point (111837);
Card Stock: Very Vanilla (101650), Not Quite Navy (101722), and Pacific Point (111350); Blueberry Crisp dsp (117392);
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch (119882), Cutter Kit (106958), 1-1/4" Circle Punch (119861), and 1-3/8" Circle Punch (119860).

Butterfly Prints thank-you cards...

Thank you Donna for an excellent workshop!

As a gift for Donna, I made up these 3" x 3" thank-you notes.

They use the Butterfly Prints and Curly Cute stamp sets, as well as a 1-1/2" x 3" piece of Pear Pizzazz dsp from the In Color Pad.

These notes were tucked into one side of a 3" x 6" envelope that had been sealed with the side cut open. In the other side were four envelopes. There was a stamped and punched out butterfly on the front, along with foliage and a bow of 3/8" white taffeta.

Stamps: Butterfly Prints (121049 wood, 120738 clear), Curly Cute (117014 wood, 120510 clear);
Ink: Rich Razzleberry pad (115658), Pacific Point pad (111837), Melon Mambo pad (115656), and Peach Parfait pad (119783);
Paper: Whisper White (100730), In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack (117158)

Friends Fur-Ever...

I love cute animal stamp sets, including this Friends Fur-Ever one. This was one of the cards in my 4 Cards for $5 Class.

I borrowed the bottom of the card from the 3d sample in the catalog, stamping the dog in Sahara Sand and cutting it out, adding red to the color with a marker and a small rhinestone. The cart wheel is a jumbo eyelet, and the bones were masked.

The top part of the card is a strip of Blueberry Crisp dsp layered on Pacific Point card stock, with a strip of Read Red in the middle.

The frame was first stamped in Basic Gray ink and the words inside in Pacific Point ink, with more tiny rhinestones added.
